This 2nd Generation family business, L&A Motors is the backbone of the "Black Wall Street" on International Boulevard in east Oakland. The Ford brothers, Leon and A.T. are not the stereotypical used car salesman and to reiterate what Jonathan A said "If You Want a car thats in good shape for your money and people that will work with you on the cost then this is a great place to get the right service."

I was talking with the owner A.T. as I was looking at some of the cars, and mentioned my Ford Explorer needed a clutch. He said his auto repair was right in the back and his auto repair person could take care of it for $$600.00 and that would include all parts, and labor. I took my Ford Explorer there and after telling me they would have it ready in 2 weeks, it ended up being 7 weeks and that included all my CD'S and DVD'S getting stolen along with my CD player because the mechanic said he forgot to lock my vehicle. They continued to charge me for various parts until the final bill came to $1,000 and he could not find the reciepts for the new parts. When I drove out of the work area and went 2 blocks the truck cut off and would not shift into gear and I had to have a tow truck come and get it, because when i called A.T., he said they weren't going to pick it up. I could not believe my ears. After having another auto repair check it to see what was wrong, he said he didn't want to touch it because there was toooo much wrong with there work, so i still don't have a vehicle because now I have to sue them. UNBELIEVABLE. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR VEHICLES THERE FOR ANY REASON..OR YOU WILL BE SORRY....A.T. I'll see you in court...
