After my car's front bumper suffered some light damage, I went straight to Kniesels to get it fixed. I had the pleasure of having Sean Regnani streamline and uncomplicate this seemingly daunting issue. Sean was very professional, having the team thoroughly examine the car and give me a quote for the cost of fixing the damage. He then quickly ordered the parts and ensured every procedure detail was correct. In the lobby, it was nice having some coffee and popcorn to snack on while waiting for the estimate to be written up. I took my vehicle in a week later, and the job was done in one day. I picked up the car later that day and saw that the damage was fixed entirely, and Kniesels also washed and detailed my car. This was a delightful surprise, and I drove home in a clean, newly fixed car. FYI, before this, I had gotten a quote from another autobody shop that would have charged me more than 4x the price for the same work. I am grateful Sean clearly outlined what needed to be done and ensured I was only charged for what I needed. Overall, working with Kniesels and Sean Regnani saved me from stress and headaches. Not to mention also saving my pocketbook. 5/5 experience.

This is my second time working with Kniesel's in the first time around my experience was great. The second time around, I was working with a gentleman named Stephen. Here's why they're getting a low rating:
1. There was a 2 to 3 month lead time which is understandable but still a long time no wait to get my car repaired.
2. In the 2 to 3 months my parts were not ordered even though they knew that there was a national backorder on Tesla hoods (they are a Tesla certified shop, so it would be surprising that they didn't know.) My insurance also paid the deposit so they knew I was committed to working with their shop.
3. It took them close to a month to get the work done. Their excuse was the parts weren't in. When I asked him why didn't you time the part to come in before I brought the car into the shop very excuse was that they don't have any storage. However, timing, my cars arrival and the back orders should be something that they can. I had a deposit of more than half come in.
4. Stephen was horrible at communicating progress with me. I literally was checking in during my workday. They have an online gauge, but it doesn't really tell you what it is that they're doing to your car just that they're working on it. For $7000 job you would imagine that they would be communicative.
5. Lastly, not that it's here or there because my insurance paid most of it, but Stephen inflated the price twice. I can only imagine what that might feel like to someone who has to pay out-of-pocket.
On the good side, they do quality work. That's undebatable.
Blake G. The general manager also called me to get a debrief, but I was just so underwhelmed/frustrated by the service that I didn't even want to talk to him.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sara M.Sacramento, CA03623Apr 17, 2024
Took my car here two weeks ago for body work. When I got it back it looked brand new! Every day they were texting me with updates and giving me estimates on when parts would be received and the pricing. Communication here is beyond what I expected. They respect your property and keep it clean and safe. And once I received my car, it looked mint. They even deep cleaned it for me. I highly recommend this shop!

I had my vehicle serviced at Kniesel's Natomas from July 5-July 21. I picked up my car on Friday. My cup holder lid was closed all weekend because I did not drive the car. On Monday, I opened my cup holder and saw a disposable vape was left in my vehicle. I didn't even know what it was until I googled the image. I am extremely upset it was left in my car. That means a technician was vaping in my car while it was in service. My oldest son has respiratory issues and this upset me to no end. I included a picture.
I e-mailed the general manager and he e-mailed me the response attached. No accountability at all. I went this morning to get my interior detailed and all it looks like they did was wipe down the cup holder as I waited for an hour while they did that and put back in my hood bra they forgot about. They also DID NOT detail the exterior while that was suppose to be included in the e-mail. While I was there this morning, the general manager's door was open because I heard someone talking to him. I waited in the waiting area for over an hour. NOT ONCE DID BLAKE GILPIN come out to apologize for one of his tech's leaving a vape pen in my vehicle.
I only went here because it was through my car insurance. I would not recommend this place.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 5, 2023
Clean, comfortable office while waiting for car estimate. Staff is friendly as they offer coffee/tea while you wait and provide a clean waiting area for both young and old LOL. Appreciate their honesty and always provide great quality and value for you money, whether you are using your insurance or paying cash .

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Kniesel's Collision Natomas, exacerbated by what should have been a seamless collaboration with Tesla. My collision repair, scheduled for October 2023, turned into a series of delays, miscommunications, additional charges, and the unexpected withdrawal of car rental coverage, which further added to the overall frustration.
Initially, Kniesel's provided an estimate and a promising repair date of December 14th, 2023, which later extended unexpectedly to December 29th without any clear explanation. The reason cited was paperwork issues with Tesla, and though they assured me they could start working on the car, it continued to be delayed.
My frustration peaked when I had to leave the country on December 25th, expecting the repairs to be completed. Despite constant communication about my deadline, the car was not ready, leaving me with the inconvenience of arranging a friend to pick it up.
The delays persisted, with promises of completion on January 4th, 2024. Unfortunately, upon inspection, I discovered that several aspects were incomplete, including missing clear protection wrap, a chrome delete, a light, and a dropped fender. To make matters worse, Kniesel's now claimed additional charges for wrapping expenses that were not initially discussed.
Throughout this ordeal, my car rental coverage, initially provided due to the delays caused by Kniesel's and Tesla, was unexpectedly withdrawn. The explanation given was reaching the maximum allowed days, but it's crucial to note that these delays were primarily caused by Kniesel's and Tesla's lack of efficiency. Adding to the frustration, communication channels were insufficient, leaving me with no way to express how unfair this decision was given the circumstances.
Efforts to communicate with Tesla about the delays and the incomplete repairs were futile. Their closed claim and lack of response added to the overall frustration.
As of February 2nd, 2024, my car remains in a state of disrepair, and I am uncertain about when it will be ready, whether a rental will be provided, or if any additional costs will be incurred.
I urge Kniesel's Collision Natomas and Tesla to honor their commitment to restoring my car to its original state without any additional charges, and to address the lack of communication regarding the sudden withdrawal of car rental coverage. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope for a swift resolution to this ongoing issue.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - L A.Downtown, Sacramento, CA07Jan 3, 2024
I hit a deer and had considerable damage to the front end of my car. I had my car repairs done at this location and was extremely disappointed with the customer service and the quality of work. When I went to pick up the vehicle the first time, they had neglected to replace some of the parts and the job was not complete. I had to bring my Jeep back three times because of issues of parts missing and things not working. I agree with other reviews that they do not take responsibility for their work or quality issues.
They were rude to me and made me feel like I was at fault when I complained about these issues. I only wanted my car back and to be fixed properly. I would not go back here or recommend this business.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eileen L.Irvine, CA0916Apr 25, 2023
This review is for Rudy, I would give him more stars if I could. He really helped me out and it was the second body shop I went to. I am so appreciative to him and his guys. He truly is the best car guy I've ever met. I am so thankful and grateful for him. He definitely went out of his way to be so amazing. I highly recommend Rudy and cannot say enough great things about him. Thank you so much for going above and beyond! I will never forget how you helped me so much.
If you need someone you can trust with your car, it is Rudy. Thank you again!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris T.Davis, CA268Aug 30, 2023
In an accident by another person who had Allstate Insurance. Went to Kniesel's Collision to get an evaluation. They got us in and processed everything with Allstate. We only had to send in pictures of accident and other driver's ID and proof of Insurance to Allstate. Kniesel's handled everything else and arranged a rental car for us. It was done when they stated. Not only did they do a fantastic job; they cleaned the car inside and out. If I need body work done I will use them again. We would highly recommend them.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the work done on my car. Would have rated it five stars but I had to wait 24 minutes just to drop off my car. When I arrive, there was no other customer there but me, shortly after, about four other customers arrived they were immediately attended to. I'm still waiting there just to drop off my car, I had an appointment to drop it off.
