I recently retained the services of Bryan Kishner to represent my elderly parent's interests when a large developer moved into the property next door to their home in Williamsburg/Bushwick Brooklyn.
Bryan quickly returned my phone call. He was patient while explaining the process to me and then again to my parents. He was able to help them obtain a License Agreement with Developer when that party initially was not interested in dealing with my parents beyond attempting to get them to sign a very basic agreement.
Bryan is extremely kind, very genuine, and above all professional. I never felt as if I were bothering him at all. And he always took the time to speak with us at length as his schedule allowed.
I would recommend Kishner Miller and Himes P.C. to any of my friends, family, or coworkers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff F.New York, NY111May 16, 2010First to Review
My real estate agent recommended Bryan Kishner to me. He was horrible. For a simple coop real estate closing, he charged me nearly $5,000 for inadequate legal representation. When I refused to pay, he placed his fees in the HUD statement, and refused to close unless all his fees were paid. Since the interest rate lock expired on the closing date, I was forced to pay these excessive fees. Afterwards, he was unresponsive until I informed him that I was submitting his name and my experience with him to the NYC Bar Association. He then returned a significant amount of his fees. I would avoid using him and find another lawyer.
Update: I would like to add my concern of the threats by this law firm about my review. I hired them years ago, purchased my apartment using them, and now am sharing my story. Instead of addressing the issue (and focus on providing better service to others), they are threatening to sue - see Ryan Miller's comments to my review. (If I was not a prior client, how could I have their check - see my uploaded picture.) Nonetheless, good luck with your real estate transaction whichever lawyer you decide to use. And beware, if you decide to write a review that they do not like.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

UPDATE 7/21/15: We are attempting to file with the courts (and eventually Yelp) to obtain the true identity of Jeff F. We encourage him to contact our offices as soon as possible.
MAY 2015: We have attempted to contact Jeff F. multiple times through the Yelp system so he can identify himself. Our offices contacted the only Jeff F. that we are aware that we have ever worked with and have a signed and notarized statement from that Jeff F stating that anything contained in the commentary is not from him nor true. (This documentation was submitted to Yelp). As such, we are directing this communication to Jeff F and have already officially submitted to Yelp a request for Jeff F's identity. We would like to pursue this matter with Jeff F, in a professional fashion but Jeff F has chosen to hide his identity. We strongly request Jeff F actually respond to us. Jeff F has the ability of communicating with us but has chosen not to. The door is still open to Jeff F to prove that he is real. After all, if Jeff F is telling the truth then Jeff F should have no reason to hide. One may only assume that Jeff F is a competitor or simply misrepresenting the facts.
PREVIOUS: We have contacted Yelp for removal as this has been proven legally as a fake. (As explained by Jeff F and his daughter who were on a transaction but that these actions never actually occurred. We have a signed document from them stating as such.)
ORIGINAL RESPONSE: The statements contained in this review are false and misleading. This Office is in the process of taking appropriate legal action against Jeff F. as we had not known the specific identity of this individual prior and are confident this review will be removed shortly. - John H.Toronto, Canada1265458May 26, 2013Updated review
My wife and I retained Bryan Kishner for our first real estate purchase (a co-op in Brooklyn).
He and his partner Ryan Miller were very quick to respond to emails, phone calls and our endless questions, and managed to bring us to a (relatively) pain free closing.
Bryan negotiated everything we wanted into the rider of our contract, and his fees were more than fair. Ryan was no-nonsense at closing and was a great guy. Hopefully when we sell our place for twice as much in a few years Bryan will be available on the other end of things.
Thanks Bryan!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0May 25, 2013Previous reviewMy wife and I retained Bryan W. Kishner for our first real estate purchase (a co-op in Brooklyn).

It is very clear to me, and hopefully to others who read the review below, that the person leaving this one star review is clearly biased and possibly even a competitor. If you have ever worked with Bryan Kishner, you would know that there is no way in the universe that he would ever behave that way. Also, question to yelp? What's up with filtering all of the 5 star reviews that he received? I have reviewed a number of people, unlike the one star guy who only reviewed this one person. I have to think that his review is suspicious, not my own!
Anyways, for the rest of you real yelpers out there... Bryan Kishner is an amazing lawyer with a fundamental understanding of the law. He has fought for my rights with properties, co-ops, and purchasing of a home, and I have been very happy with him.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 2, 2013Previous reviewI first retained Bryan Kishner over 8 years ago for the purchase of my first home, and I have used his services many times since then. He is the only real estate attorney I will use. Whether buying a house, transferring a business, or selling my co-op, Bryan Kishner has assisted me in every transaction and truly takes his time. Here is why he is at the top of my list for real estate attorneys in manhattan. He answers every phone call. He responds to every email. He doesn't let anyone on the "other" side, whether buyers/sellers intimidate me. He clearly develops a plan with me regarding every transaction and makes me aware of every possible outcome. He has saved me a lot of money and I am sure he has saved me a lot of headache!

Whoever rated these guys 1 star is spot on. This law firm is garbage tier. I have e-mailed them 3 times already and it's been a month later and I haven't received so much as an acknowledgement.

ORIGINAL: I attempted to contact Mr. Brady W. who is and was NEVER a client of my Firm. The following is what I wrote to him:
"Mr. Brady W.:
First, let me start by stating that I apologize if there was any lack of communication by my Office. I have reviewed my Office records and do not see that you are or ever were a client of this Office.
If you were ever a client of this Office, you would know that we are a 24/7 Law Firm (which is why you are receiving this message on a Holiday).
More importantly, I would be happy to assist you with whatever your ongoing matter is.
In this regard, I would welcome you to contact me on my personal email at: rmiller@kishnerlegal.com so that we may set up a time to speak regarding your matter. If easier, you can call my direct office line at 212-297-6268.
Again, I do sincerely apologize for any non-responsiveness and do look forward to hearing from you.
Ryan O. Miller, Esq." - Nicole S.Summit, NJ11213Apr 1, 2014
I retained Ryan Miller when my landlord was trying to kick me out of my rent stabilized apartment. He and his colleagues handled my issue with utmost professionalism. They were very informative throughout the entire process, providing all details and letting me know all my options.
I recommend Ryan Miller and his firm for any rent stabilization cases, as I was pleased with their handling and our outcome.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristen R.Brooklyn, NY093Jan 6, 2013
Bryan was recommended to me from a close friend. I had what I thought was a real estate nightmare and he fixed the situation instantly. He went above and beyond anything I could have expected. I would highly recommend Bryan for any legal issue you have!

We used K&M for our apartment closing, which was rather messy and confusing. I couldn't have felt we were in better hands working with Mr. Miller; he represented us perfectly, took the time to explain everything, and didn't let the opposing attorneys bully us like they were trying to. Would definitely recommend this firm.

I guess the first question I should ask is, why in the world is yelp filtering my review!!! This is upsetting to me and makes me wonder what the purpose of my writing any reviews is? Either way, for now I would like to reiterate that.... Mr. Kishner is VERY responsive! I originally hired Bryan for the sale of my Co-op, after speaking to a number of other attorneys, and I instantly felt comfortable with him. Every question I asked was answered quickly and clearly. The whole transaction went very smoothly and I would definitely use him again for any purchase or sale of real estate.
It wasn't until years later, that I was knee deep into a business deal with a not so great partner, that I called him again. My partner wanted to sell his share to me, but kept trying to find ways out of him getting stuck in a contract... He would delay signing, try to change things at the last minute, and was basically as inefficient in contract as he was as a partner....
Bryan's abilities were truly apparent in this particular situation. First of all, he seems to know most of the other real estate attorneys and has established relationships with them which is incredibly helpful. He was also able to word the contract in such a way that it was essentially contingent upon my loan to get the business, he negotiated with the landlord of the building on my behalf, and basically stood up for me as a human. It is not likely that I will ever look elsewhere for a real estate attorney again. This guy knows his business and helped me so that I could own my own business!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
