Pho Nation is where cultures and cuisines come together. This atypical restaurant brings the best of three cuisines--Vietnamese and Chinese-- and their most popular dishes to one locale. Pho Nation is the place for a healthy and delectable dining experience. Vietnamese and Chinese food, with its abundance of fresh ingredients and very little deep-fat frying, is naturally healthy and low-calorie. Specializing in these cuisines, Pho Nation emphasizes flavors and attention to detail. We use only top-quality ingredients in all our products and serve these products in an environment which reflects our high standards. The restaurant's name and logo takes on Vietnam's national signature dish, pho (pronounced fuh), a noodle soup with flavorful components customarily stocked with rice noodles, meats, and exotic herbs and spices. A dish that can be enjoyed at all times of the day, pho cleverly provides all the necessary nourishment in one convenient bowl. It is THE soup to eat.

Today I had lunch with my kiddos at Phonation. Upon arrival, there were few customers there, so we were greeted and seated promptly. The hostess/waitress was polite and courteous.
We ordered the pork fried dumplings as an appetizer, which came to the table approximately 10 minutes after we ordered them. The dumplings were crisp and had the right balance of pork and vegetables encased within the dumpling. Six dumplings come in at a price of $5.50. I highly recommend ordering this.
For entrees, we ordered the Bahn Mi grilled chicken sandwich ($5.95), Chicken fried rice, and the Spicy Beef soup ($6.50) *see photo.
The Ban Mi was excellent and filling.
The Spicy Beef soup was a bit oily for my taste, which is evidenced by the photo within this review (the oil is along the rim of the bowl and atop the broth). Unfortunately, the abundance of oil within the soup took away from the flavor of the soup. This is why the overall rating given for this restaurant is 4/5 as opposed to 5/5.
In general, this restaurant is worth the visit for many reasons to include the food, service and price. For everything listed above inculding two lemonades *which were made fresh, the total was 38.37 (not including tip)! This is not bad for 3 entrees, an appetizer, and 2 drinks. I will be back again. March 12, 2016: Was King Noodle, now Pho Nation. I don't notice any differences. Accommodating staff. Great food, same reasonable prices. I asked that the tv channel be changed to accommodate my new passion for Futbol and the manager was very gracious. Changed up my order with vegetable spring rolls and vegetarian pho (veg broth). Spring rolls had magnificent delicate flavor and the crunch that only comes from the freshest ingredients. The pho broth was so flavorful that I had to try twice to make sure it is really veg (it was). Delicious tofu and plenty of it. Only imperfection was ever-so-slightly over-cooked noodles that made chopsticks difficult. What do I expect at 2 PM on a slow Saturday lunch? I will be back. Definitely a fave.
I should put King Noodle on my faves list. I don't come here often enough, and every time I eat here, I recall how good it is. Excellent service, great food at the peak of freshness, and there is almost always soccer on the wide screen TVs. The menu is varied: sushi, Chinese, Vietnamese and a few Thai dishes. If that weren't enough, there are plenty of vegetarian options, they do a great job with tofu and the prices are very, very reasonable. What's not to love?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 12, 2015Previous reviewI should put King Noodle on my faves list. Aug 14, 2014Previous reviewFound King Noodle by complete accident while stumbling around looking for a vegetarian lunch better than - or at least different from - the usual boring veggie burger. TWO veggie options on the lunch special. Choice of fried or steamed rice, choice of steamed entree, an entire half page of vegetarian options. Most exciting for us vegans: they note pho with vegetable broth. Full disclosure: the broth was so delicious that I had to do all my special tests to reassure myself that it really was vegetable broth. Plenty of beautifully sautéed tofu, very fresh table salad. Note to omnivores: 6 page menu with plenty of excellent Chinese and Vietnamese choices. I'LL BE BACK! :-)

My husband and I dropped in for dinner last weekend. All was great. Ordered lunch today for myself and a few coworkers and they will never trust me to bring in lunch again.
Dry starchy rice. Chewy tough General Tso chicken. Burnt egg rolls. Nothing was redeemable.
I want to love this place. It's close to home and work. But I can't get around the crap-shoot consistency of the food.
With a 50-50 chance of getting an edible meal, I will drive the extra 2 miles to a spot that has never let me down.
I wish I had better luck here but after 2+years of thinking they'll find a way to bring a quality plate to my table -even most of the time! - I am done.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Aug 18, 2015Previous reviewI am torn about this place. My first visit, my meal was dry and almost inedible.
My seond visit, we had a shrimp special and sliced beef special...And everything was prepared to perfection! I thought I may have just found avhidden gem in Round Rock.
My third and forth visit was for takeout. My husband likes combo fried rice and since I haven't seen the two amazing specials they had before, I just order chicken and broccoli -which is good but nothing spectacular.
Try their specials when they have them. You may become a fan. Outside of that, overall, it's fusion typical and what you expect from Americanized fare. - 2292281105Mar 24, 2018
Food sucks! How do you mess up fried rice?! The egg rolls and thePho are the only decent food items.

I love Bun and have come here before and didn't have the best experience; but, today I thought I'd try again. I went in around 3PM and ordered Bun for take-out. It took only a few minutes, which is fine since the place was completely empty (normal considering it was 3PM). I got home, only 5 minutes later and opened the food and it was all cold. So..... guess they just threw old food in there which had been sitting for a bit. :-( Made me sad. Especially considering how awful a cold, stale egg roll tastes.
And, the chicken is grainy and gross. I would give 1 star, but the girl upfront was sweet.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yum Diddly D.Round Rock, TX310787Mar 14, 2017
There are plenty of noodle houses in the ATX area, what I have noticed about this little out of the way joint is that the food is really good. We will be going back every chance we get.
I have been here a few times, and have tried the Pho and the Bun along with a couple of the chicken dishes. It is nice to enjoy a meal without a huge crowd even on a Friday night.
Our waiter was very nice and attentive to our drinks and our needs. Our food was out quickly and seeing that we were there at 8:30pm on a Friday everyone seemed to be enjoying their evening working there.
If you like Vietnamese/Asian cuisine then come by and try Pho Nation - it is a hidden gem.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 21, 2016Updated review
We enjoyed this visit, our last visit was under a different name but the same people have it.....The service and the food seem to have improved. My wife had the Tso's chicken lunch special with wonton soup, the Tso's was very tasty but a little chewier than we're used to, the cup of wonton soup was full of flavor with good wontons, most places we eat this i'm adding salt, pepper, soy sauce and sirracha sauce, didn't need anything with this bad boy! I enjoyed the shaken beef plate, it had great sweet flavor, with a small bowl of a vinegary peppery sauce that really popped when I dipped my shaken beef in it, the sweet sauce cooked onto the beef really worked well with the dipping sauce, the beef had slices of cucumber and tomato and slivers of white onion...4 stars all the way...only topped by Pho Viet's shaken beef. The service was good and the food was too.

We both got the lunch special general tso's chicken and it wasn't as good this time. Our entrees came out before the soup, seemed to take a while for anything we asked for. We'll give them another try but it will probably be a while.
Oct 28, 2013Previous reviewThe lunch special beef with vegetables was very good along with the egg drop soup and an egg roll, my wife had this and of course she shared. I went with the beef bahn mi on a freshly made baguette, also very very good.....showed the manager and our waiter a short video of food pictures I put on youtube, type in king noodle healthy Asian cuisine...have a snack handy...you may get hungry...better yet, watch in the king's parking lot to alleviate any cravings that might arise. All this with two never-emptying teas for $19.89 is how I spell a great deal with great service.
Oct 18, 2013Previous reviewWe stopped in for a late dinner, A large bowl of wonton soup and a couple appetizers and very good plate of pad thai, the pad thai had some serious heat...especially the noodles...me likey! The fried eggrolls were nice and crispy and fresh, the pork stuffed fried wontons were excellent, the sauces that came with them were very good, stole some of the sauce from the fried pork wontons for my pad thai. A good time was had by all, posted a plethora of pictures.
Sep 3, 2013Previous reviewWe ordered two lunch specials, the chicken delight and general tso's chicken, the tso's had some nice heat to it and the delight lived up to it's name...5 stars. The fried rice was just average and the egg drop slightly above that. The service was friendly, prompt, couldn't be any nicer.
Aug 2, 2013Previous reviewWe finally came in and ate, tried the pho, beef noodle soup with lean meat and flank steak.....very good, comes in a #3 washtub disguised as a soup bowl. MY wife ordered and shared some crab Rangoon, excellent, some slightly burnt chicken wings, good, and a bowl of wonton soup, first time this came with noodles too, good. WE gave them 4 stars because the food was good and the service was too, took one star off for Cajun style chicken wings.
Jul 30, 2013Previous reviewPicked up a menu when we noticed they were now open, we'll update this in the next few days when we actually stop in to eat something. We just got through inhaling some splendiferous Annapurna Gardens Indian Food.

WOW! What a delightful surprise this new restaurant was! It's very rare that after I dine at a place, that I immediately post a review.
I've driven by this place, which is tucked in the corner of a strip mall, several times before I noticed it was finally open. We decided to order the crab rangoons as the appetizer. They came out stuffed with crab and cream cheese mixture and were piping hot. They served it with your typical sweet and sour sauce (nothing special)- Great start!
I ordered the usual Pho with brisket and round steak. #PO2, my co-worker ordered the frid pork sandwich. When the food arrived, I was surprised to see how large the bowl of Pho was! Fresh condiments, basil, bean sporuts, and jalapenos. Extra jalapenos of course! Co-worker's fried pork sandwich was amazing in his words. Just the right portion of meats and vegetables, fresh bread, and cilatro added for a special touch.
The service was excellent, and I will definitely be frequeting this place quite it bit, since it's so close!

Sorry, We gave it a chance since changing names. I had chicken vermecelli and the chicken was more like beef jerky. Other complaints from wife but she can post her own.
Staff was friendly.
Bummer! Was hoping it was a positive visit.
Sorry, can't recommend it and won't be coming back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 18, 2014Previous reviewI had to reduce the previous rating because things were not up to par. The service and atmosphere were fine. I'm hoping it was just an oversight by the kitchen and I hope the managers keep a closer eye on supplies to make sure things are rotated properly. Crab rangoons do not turn green because of hot oil, they turn green when fried because the cheese went bad and was moldy. Employees quickly fried up a fresh batch after there B.S. excuse. They didn't take it off the bill.
Feb 20, 2014Previous reviewVisited twice :). Still a keeper.
After training I can put down some food. The Pho soup filled me up. Wow!
Fast and friendly service, clean and good food. Music has been hip and enjoyable. - Anthony S.Market At Round Rock, Round Rock, TX74325Apr 15, 2018
The food here is great. Every time my family and I come the place is dead, good thing in my eyes as I don't have to wait at all ! The place is clean and as I said before the food is great and cheap ! P19 (beef spicy tender pho) is the best or some classic orange chicken w rice. So if you are looking to eat some pho I recommend pho nation !
