It has come to be a tradition anytime we go to the zoo to stop at King Kong because we are all starving afterwards. Great steak special on Sundays for $16.99 that includes steak, Greek salad and fries. Portions are huge! As a family of 4 we ate for $52 and have leftovers for lunch tomorrow too! Staff is super friendly and service is really quick. They have been around forever so they must be doing something right!

For a drive through King Kong offers some great options that include a Greek salad. It's absolutely enormous, with plenty of veggies and meat to make this a low carb dinner.
Offering several locations in the Omaha area this one is located just across from the Henry Doorly Zoo and convenient for jump off at the interstate exit. Daily lunch specials are offered for a little variety and a good deal.
If you need a taste of some Greek food and looking for a fast and inexpensive meal, this is your place! Suggest you drive on in or stop in the dining room for counter service option. All offer a very casual dining room, where you can order at the counter and eat in or drive-through.
We enjoyed a delicious Gyro salad and Gyro for dinner. Everything prepared very well, extra seasonings, provided as requested, and reasonably priced.
We ordered at the drive-through and service was spot on. The only challenge was a little bit of problem with the speaker at the drive-through but it did not stop us from getting our order correctly.
Highly recommend this location if you're looking for some Gyros, burgers, and other options. Specials are offered daily. - Pavan K.TX, TX11517Mar 26, 2023
My favorite place from back in the day is losing its charm. And I'm sadly ok with it because Freddy's, Five Guys et al have started replacing them.
I've stopped by here on purpose on my cross country drives. This time it wasn't memorable.
Burgers are okayish now. Condiments and mayo etc won't bring back the loaded juicy taste of biting in.
Hope they can reinvent themselves.
Service has kind of faded down too.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bev C.Omaha, NE637811Nov 8, 2022
Was missing my Gyro go to--so I drove through for a Gyro Platter with the salad on the side. It was almost as ordered but, rice was added which I didn't think I ordered as a side.
Anyway, it was memorably great, I enjoyed 3 meals from 1 platter!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jim J.Sacramento, CA67568May 5, 2023
Oh boy, where do I begin? Let's start with the burgers....these babies are really big. I hate to unhinge my jaw to get my mouth around it. I guess that's what they meant by kong sized
The onion rings were pretty good. Crispy and not too greasy . I would definitely order them again.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said of the overall ambience of the place. I am sorry to say it smelled like a sour mop. I'm not sure if that is a feature to make it an authentic burger joint, but it certainly isn't helping the flavors.
So, my advice if your brave enough to go, hold your nose and get it to go. That way you can enjoy the food without the funky odor. Who knows, maybe you'll get a laugh out of the whole experience. There's nothing quite like a burger joint that is equally tasty and stinky!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alex E.Southwest, Denver, CO01Jan 29, 2024
Way overpriced. Overseasoned fries. Cold, processed, burger. I've been there twice and been disappointed both times. I can't recommend and I won't go back. From what I've heard the quality used to be great years and years ago. Not even close today.

I always loved his food great steaks and great salads but the people that work in the drive-through don't speak English and screw up your order every time for the money that you spend. It's just not worth it anymore unless the owner is working there which always gives great service. The other service is killing this place.

I went there today which is Christmas. There is a link on their website in Google that is Christmas special. If you click on it it shows special for Christmas 10.00. The flyer on the window was 13.99. When I brought it to their attention they said they would look into it. I showed them the ad associated with their website. Was still charged 13.99 plus tax my total was 15.92. This is false advertising. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE!
