Came back for the first time since my 16th birthday and so much has changed. While the food choices in the buffet has changed, the quality of the food has not.

Food was delicious and filling. Went through five plates before calling it. Main Course, Sushi, Final Stretch, Fruit and Dessert.

Servers were kind and wonderful. Drinks and refills were very swift. And as for the overall environment. Not too noisy, but not super quiet. Just business as usual on a Friday Night. Was a little busy when my friends and I arrived, but it simmered down over the next two hours.

Will be coming back for more!

Something to keep in mind: the good "I'm getting an amazing deal in this economy for a buffet" prices are for lunch only. Dinner imo is just as pricey as many other non-buffet spots; which is, I'm sure, the reason you see most customers here chowing down on seafood, the priciest item ?I guess? which to be honest kind of grosses me out as it's so gluttonous but whatevs.

We went for dinner after the hubby had tried it and liked it for lunch. Regardless of pricing, this place has clearly been discovered and it was jam packed. If you are not used to crowds still after COVID, and I am not, then this place is going to make you claustrophobic. Not to mention that the tables are kind of close together and it's hard to pass each other - something you have to do WAY MORE frequently at a buffet than in a non-buffet restaurant.

I was not thrilled with the people loitering on the sidewalk outside that we had to pass in the dark and in the rain.

The food is perfectly okay despite negative representation. The almond cookies are particularly good as they are nice and soft - I don't know, honestly, if that's from sitting out, but I liked it; the apple pie is very bland; the chow mein noodles are a bit on the starchy side but okay with soy sauce; and the chicken wings are surprisingly tasty in spite of their orange color.

Is that a weird way of saying the food is fine? Probably. But no one I saw seemed to have any problem eating several plates so nuff said.

Food was AWFUL, terribly cooked, incorrectly cleaned and overall disgusting, and I can find something good almost everywhere I go, BUT NOT here!
The have beef ribs (bones with gristle and bbq sauce) whole fried fish (cooked evidently for hours in old oil) and hot shrimp (shells and heads on and cooked so throughly there is no separating shrimp from shell) and other "sounding" good offerings.

I assumed it would be cheap (as in quality) due to the buffet style but didn't expect it to be so completely inedible.

Ok so maybe since it's a Chinese Buffet I should stick with Chinese Food, WRONG! General Taos Chicken was overcooked pieces of breading with a gummy says on it, the Hunan Beef (Beef and Broccoli) was, BAD, not just in taste, but I swear the beef was "bad" as in turned as in not fit for consumption!

Please avoid this place at any opportunity! I'm just saying.....

very uncomfortable feeling being there! constantly felt like i was being watched and the people before me also said they felt they were discriminated against and accused of stealing when they weren't. Definitely keep that in mind if you're planning on visiting.

First time visit and probably my last! Food quality didn't seem all that great. Tried out the Sushi, the California Rolls and Tamago. But they didn't seem all that fresh or tasty. They were definitely missing something. Ate the Dumplings, Fried Chicken Wings, General Tso's Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, vegetable noodles, and Siomai.

Let's just say there are much better places with much better food elsewhere. They also had crawfish which my family had and they said it tasted like they were store bought and frozen! I can say is that the siomai were terrible, had some weird flavor to them, the Beef and Broccoli seemed a little bland and old, General Tso's Chicken was too sweet and overpowering with sauce when it was supposed to be spicy, the Sushi didn't taste fresh, the rice tasted old. Chicken wings were alright, Dumplings had no seasoning for the fillings and the noodles were very bland.

For $25 a person for Dinner prices, kinda expensive for the low quality and for the small amount of selection of food choices available.

Best to go somewhere else if you want to eat at a buffet...

      Updated review

Update : came for dinner and it was a 3/5. Less of a selection than lunch and the important dishes in a typical Chinese buffet aren't there. The food items I did have were delicious! And staff were attentive!

So I will still be coming back. Just for lunch though

Stopped by for lunch. Place was fairly busy but I was seated quickly. I found the choice of dishes to be adequate but nothing that I would classify as delicious.

I didn't see any sushi or a grill. There were two tables with heated dishes. Staff was friendly and brought me tea promptly.

Overall ok. Probably wouldn't return unless I happen to be in the neighborhood again and am hungry for lunch. .

I've been going to king buffet since I was 15:) Proud to say the flavor of their mains still wins my mom's opinion over the other popular buffets like Feast, mizuki, etc. please don't let their rating here on Yelp deter you from coming. Their selection is small but so tasty, consistent, and affordable!

      The Good/ Recs:

+ $25/pp (after tax) and this includes crab legs, sometimes lobster, whelk, crawfish, clams, fish, and other seafood items? Amazing and expertly seasoned.
+ short ribs, general tsao chicken and fried chicken wings are very good
+ hibachi grill for some stir fried noodles
+ sushi is flavorful and they have seaweed salad/ sashimi now!
+ love their tasty veggies.. broccoli, cabbage, and string beans cooked to perfection
+ get their sesame ball, fluffy sugar donut and crab Rangoons cuz why not lol
+ get some soft serve before you leave
+ big parking lot -- you'll have no trouble here
+ nice, attentive waiters that I remember from way back when... and they're still working as hard as they can.... Please tip these people as best as you can.

      The meh:
      - sometimes their counter can be messy (mostly from the messy, entitled patrons) but they get cleaned up fast by an attendant
      - the bathroom is sometimes messy (mostly from the messy patrons lol) but they get cleaned up

Summary: if you stick to my recommendation above, you'll find that $25/p is more than worth your money and stomach space. King buffet has been incredible over the years and deserves community support.. see y'all soon hehe!!
