Kens Dry Cleaners

The lovely couple who used to run this local dry cleaners on Portobello Road for ages are gone and the prices have doubled, it's only a matter of time before one of the few remaining shops of everyday things on Portobello will be replaced by a juice bar or fashion pop-up.

In the meantime, I will have to walk a bit further to drop off my dry cleaning - there's another just around the corner on Blenheim Crescent but I decided to go further north on Portobello (normal prices).

I had a dress dry cleaned and am really not impressed: the coffee stains are still very visible, which is not good for a £17.50 service.

Very good and reliable service. Dry cleaning was professional done and delivered on time, as promised. Very convenient location but prices are a bit high (understandable though because of the neighbourhood). I'll probably keep returning because of reliability and convenience.

This is my dry cleaner by virtue of its close proximity to my flat. I love the couple, who owns it. It's not the cheapest. But it's a relatively good price for pressing men's shirts--90 per cent of what I bring in here. Also, it's cash-only; there's a cash point across the street, if you forget. It's not fancy, but it works.
