Back in 1969, our founders decided to combine their passions for pizza and baseball, which led them to open Kelso's Pizza. When you walk through our doors, you will be greeted by the aroma of freshly baking pizza and see jerseys hanging on the wall in homage to some of our favorite teams. In all the years we've been here, we've stayed true to that original inspiration. We still use the original recipes we started with almost 50 years ago, and we'll be playing all your favorite local games on TV. We can't think of a better way to spend time with friends and family and look forward to sharing that experience with you.

We had a great experience at Kelso's! The service was quick, the pizza was good, and the prices weren't bad! We ordered the Dodger Pie in their MVP size, and had about two slices leftover. There was 4 of us, so it was only $5.25 per person to fill us up with pizza! The beer was also only $4 a glass, so a great meal for a good price! Many reviews say they had bad service, but our waitress was great! Would definitely recommend if you're wanting a dinner of pizza and beer!

Went last night after we couldn't get into the fried tenderloin place around the corner. I'm glad that place was too full. The special was a 10" double pepperoni pizza so we ordered 2 for leftovers and and order of heaters (buffalo chicken tenders). I see some people didn't like the Crust but we loved it. Crispy like a thin crust on the bottom but had "some" body to it but not completely like a traditional or pan. The bottom was also very flavorful, buttery tasting. The heaters were delicious only wish they had been served with the pizza so we didn't fill up on them. They were big tenders and just like their name, very tender. Buffalo sauce was traditional and covered the entire tender. Service was good and we left with entire double pepperoni pizza for the games today. We'll be back to try other menu items.

Haven't been here for years but have been a few times over the last month for a variety of reasons.
First time--great! Pizza baked quickly, delicious, hot and crust chewy, really flavorful! Fast service!
Second time--busiest I've ever seen it...a little wait but understandable considering it was literally packed...pizza good but not nearly as flavorful as the previous visit.
Third time--restaurant almost empty (think 1-2 other tables only at prime time 11:30-12:30 lunch hour)...service friendly but incredibly slow to receive food...over 30 minutes at least with a nearly empty restaurant!
Hit or miss!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We're glad you came in after so long, Tracy! It's a let-down that our pizza and service isn't five stars every time. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback, and we'll do better to stay consistent. We hope you'll give us another chance to impress you again.

My first visit to Kelso's was just annoying. For many different reasons. The pizza was awesome, but that's pretty much where I stop being positive.
So I walk in and the restaurant is empty. Great. I'm standing by the host stand that reads "Hostess Will Seat You" but there was no host to been found. Stood around for a few and then a woman comes up and seats me 'wherever I want'. Cool.
A woman walks up to my table and I wasn't sure what she was doing because she was talking on her phone. Turns out that she's my server...and she was talking on her cell phone while waiting on me. Cute.
That's the big thing that pushed me over the edge. That and Kelso's just has this weird vibe that I personally do not dig. It was relatively inexpensive for what I got, but I just can't see myself bringing anyone here for dinner just out of sheer embarrassment for the server. Completely unprofessional. Oh and you eat your pizza off of questionable metal saucers, not plates. Weird. Two stars goes to the pizza though.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 23, 2017
Great pizza and friendly neighborhood service! Have had one of their smaller speciality pizzas as well as ordered a couple large more traditional pizzas for moving day this weekend. Both styles very good! I'll warn you the more traditional pizzas are loaded with toppings so a little top heavy when you grab a slice. The guy who answered the phone even put a rush on my carry out order when I told him I was feeding all my moving day helpers. :)

Came in about 6:15 on a Saturday. The place was busy but not packed. I ordered a beer, my wife a tea. About 10 minutes later my beer came and my wife's tea never came. It was obvious our server was overwhelmed so I went to the bar and asked for our tab. I explained we had been waiting 20 minutes to order and had decided to go somewhere else. The bartender told me I would need to talk to our server (no apology).
I then told our server we needed our tab and gave her a $20 for a bud light. She then came back a couple minutes later and asked me if I had a dime as the change was off. I said I'm sorry I don't. She disgustingly said "I'll cover it". We said Merry Christmas and to keep the full $20.
If they can't figure out their service this place deserves to go out of business despite having very good food. Honestly the most unbelievable service experience ever. At least the hostess felt bad and offered an apology as we left.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Bill, we're very sorry that this was your experience here. That is certainly not the kind of customer service that we allow here and we're so disappointed you had this happen to you. What time and date did you visit -- we'd like to look into this further. Regardless, we will review this feedback as a team so that this does not continue. We're very sorry and truly hope you'll give us another opportunity in the future to impress you.

Tried Kelso's for the first time despite the low rating on here. It was great! The jalapeno cheddar tortilla chips that came with the artichoke dip appetizer were very delicious. They were homemade thick chips. I would order them every time. We got a specialty pizza and it was cooked perfectly and made great leftovers as well. We were in on a Saturday afternoon and it was a quiet crowd with football on every TV. The waitress we had was very friendly and helpful with suggestions and kept our drinks full. Will definitely be going back.

Stopped in for my first time on a Sunday early afternoon and the place was clean, server was friendly, and the baseball game was on TV which are all good signs... You would think! I ordered the wings (which are apparently famous) but as a wing extremist I can tell you I was sorely unimpressed. The wings were extremely small with more breading than chicken and the sauce was just slopped on them. The homemade ranch dressing was amazing and I was able to mask the taste of pure breading.
My friend ordered a personal pan pepperoni pizza and it was not completely cooked. It was doughy when she bit in but we were pressed for time, especially because it took so long to get our food, so she did not send it back.
I gave the place three stars only because at least the server was awesome! I however will not be back to eat there, maybe just to have drinks!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dale R.Little Rock, AR487391227Nov 13, 2018
The people here are really great, I was working a few blocks away and had three coworkers traveling with me. We got a couple to go orders, the food wasn't bad but not great. We decided to eat in on a Friday before we all travel back home. The meal was a disaster. Both our dishes were so awful the waiter comped us our meals. We culdn't eat them anyway, but a nice gesture anyway.

Dale, although we're glad you had a good meal with us, we're sorry to hear it wasn't the most impressive this time around. We take a lot of pride in the quality food we prepare, and we hope you'll give us another shot someday.

So the late Bill Kelso played pro ball and at least one of his sons was an outstanding football player. This is why Kelso's is now a sports bar/ grille, with all 4 televisions tuned to sports and memorabilia on every wall. The place was literally empty at 4 in the afternoon, which is O.K.. The acoustics are still awful, and the Sirius radio was tuned to music I hate. One woman was the hostess, bartender, and waitress, so the service was, by necessity, sketchy. The pizza was still not-bad, especially the crust, but they're called by baseball manager's names, -Tommy LaSorda, Billy Martin, and so on.
Seems like Kelso's may be in competition with Chappell's, a sports-themed restaurant practically across the street, whose food leaves everything to be desired. Some of us think sports is the opiate of the masses.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 25, 2007Previous reviewThe New Yorker pizza is pretty darned good. Place tends to get quite noisy Friday and Saturday nights, to where it's impossible to have a conversation. Some people like that.
