Q:
Does the pita contain dairy?
A:
There is no dairy in the pita. The majority of dishes at Kebaba are dairy free. The only sauce with dairy is Tzatziki. Their menu indicates vegan and dairy free options, and the knowledgeable staff will be happy to explain the menu to guests.

Delicious. Absolutely fantastic food, all around. I can happily say that I've tried every item on the menu after months of ordering from this place multiple times a week. I can't speak to the service, as I've never dined in due to COVID, but my order is always spot on, never missing any food items, utensils, or sauces.
If you're only in Bend for a visit, make this place a priority. It's a must while you're in town!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 5, 2021
The line at Spork kitty corner was very long so we opted for Kababa. A smart choice.
I did detect a bit of attitude from the male guy tending the counter, but I chalked it up to everyone has an off day. Unfortunately, someone in our party who ordered after me said she got MAJOR bad attitude from said employee.
We liked the cauliflower, it's not as charred as you might be used to. Falafel and hummus were standard, but the pizza-sized pita was a slight letdown.
End your meal with a very good Turkish coffee.
Prices are value, especially for drinks. Their outside seating makes it an appealing venue.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Aug 12, 2020
This was difficult, YELP please don't shy away from this awesome restaurant in a great location.
Well maybe this was a Covid kind of thing but ordered a take out last night, had to order online as the phone would just ring and ring.. that was annoying as I had questions. If you want everyone to order online please say so as I don't have the to waste.
Menu: very good descriptions and excellent selections.
Ordering process: was easy enough and I did get confirming texts that our meal would be ready in 15-30 minutes... pretty good system even ordering blind as I did have questions.
Ordered: a salad, a chicken entree, and kabob entree, all in all over $53.00 with a nice tip which is rather steep so sure set my bar higher for what I get.
Food: the Curried Chicken Salad was excellent and a generous portion for two. The Roasted Chicken was amazing but the portion was small, maybe enough for two if you light eaters... wishing more for my $15.00.
Then we come to the Lamb Kebob, opened the to-go box to find ten shriveled up chunks of dried meat on a stick, it looked terrible and was absolutely uneatable, dry and had gristle made it impossible chew. For my $17.00 an embarrassment as this is one of their special items. Okay everyone has a bad day or I got something leftover from an order placed a week ago... I am sorry I don't usually complain but who would I complaint to? Can't use the phone no one answers...
For sure we will give them another try as our dine-in experiences over the years have been positive.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2019
Cute, quaint, cozy restaurant with tasty Greek food.
Visited this restaurant w my bf and his parents for a late Sunday lunch.
This restaurant looks as if it was converted from a home. Green landscaping surrounds the building. There was a small parking lot out back with 2 spots dedicated for takeout. A small amount of tables and chairs were located inside. The main seating was outside. The vibe was relaxed, social, and fun.
The menu was a single sheet with items on both sides.
It contained items for everyone vegetarians, vegans, gf, carnivores). Vegetarian options included tempeh in a pita, vegetable plate, salads, soups, and flat bread.
We chose the Mediterranean flatbread, tomato soup, lamb gyros, Turkish Vegetable Plate, and chicken kebab plate. The food arrived promptly and was well plated and tasty. The food was seasoned well.
Service was friendly.
Prices were reasonable.
Worthy of another visit.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 1, 2019
Came here for lunch and got the wild salmon kebab.
Wild salmon tends to be dry, but they cooked it so that it wasn't dry and also not greasy. The rice pilaf was bland but the salad was refreshing. In terms of portion size, it's just enough to get you full without feeling stuffed.

Loved it! Twice in 4 days
Came 2 adults 2 kids and tried many dishes:
Maze sampler, babganush, cauliflower, burger+feta, French fries, lentil soup.
Kids dishes were great as well.
Cocktails: tied the whiskey haze (amazing) and the vodka one (wife enjoyed).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian D.Portland, OR2183861907Feb 26, 2020
Shama,Shama, ela mai Kebaba!
Kebaba is a Bend mainstay; a vegan oasis in a land of carnivores.
Situated in a charming Bungalow-style house; with creaky floors, quirky art, and nooks & crannies, making it immediately welcoming upon entering.
The location is favorable to me, as it's just far enough away from the downtown core and all it's activity. This stretch of Newport Avenue is more laid back and peaceful.
Other points of interest nearby:
Popular brunch spot, Chow (check out my review) is a block away.
Newport Avenue Market across the street, is an upscale grocery store, that makes this area a one stop shopping destination.
There was a health food store (Devore's Good Food) a few blocks away that had vegan food stuff/organic produce that was our favorite market. Devore's was awesome, RIP.
The staff at Kebaba give off New Agey/counterculture vibes. It feels more Eugene, than Bend.
We've ordered takeout, and dined in.
In summer we enjoy the casual patio/ garden setting.
Vegan stuff we order:
Hummus $5
This hummus tastes different then most.
Falafel sandwich $12
We usually order this for a lunch, while hiking. It hits the spot, very filling.
Don't forget to get some red and green hot sauce.
Mixed olives $6
Simple appetizer enjoyed while drinking a pre-dinner cocktail.
Baba ghanouj $6
Yum!
Zataar Fries $ 3
Great for dipping into tahini/hummus
Zataar flatbread $6
Same as above
Tabouli salad Lg $10
Hit or miss, but you have to get your greens somewhere.
Curried lentil soup $5 a bowl
Hearty and filling.
Green and red hot sauces are a must to spice up the food.
The food is fine, not outstanding, but It's good enough to keep us coming back.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Cheryl H.Iowa City, IA43811124Jun 25, 2021Updated review
Enjoyed the salmon kabob. The curry soup was a bit bland, and could use a bit of zing. Salads where fresh and the dressing just enough lemon. Staff sharp and kind. The outside seating in shade was comfy on a hot day.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 12, 2019Previous reviewLunched outside at shady table and loved the Salmon Lunch Plate...tandoori spiced salmon on kebob was excellent on rice. The salad was big, fresh, lots of kinds of greens, currants, carrots, tomatos and lemon vinaigrette, very refreshing. The lentil soup was a bit on the bland side, hummus excellent with lots of olive oil. My mate, a bread loving soul, found the bread rather bitter and was not fond of it. Mint iced tea went well with salty flavors.
Jul 13, 2017Previous reviewWe ordered the Mediterian salad and especially liked the sun dried tomatos, olives and pine nuts. The greens were very fresh, not a single tired piece of lettuce. the flalafal both light and delicate with Zaatar yogurt -based sauce is very nice addition. The staff was kind and friendly. We will be back.

While the food is delicious, the service is haphazard at best. It was difficult to get our order in and food came out of order. It was quite tasty - I recommend the mezze if you have two people. It's a lot of food, although the skewers are quite small.

We had a wonderful dinner here in late-May. Both the Salmon Gyro and Fattoush Salad were great. The pita bread was a little disappointing but not enough to take away from a 5-star rating.
I'd seen a couple of poor reviews indicating that the service was bad but this was not our experience. The wait staff was very friendly and the service was prompt. We'll be back the next time we're in Bend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
