Kathleen is highly knowledgeable and very responsive. She helped us put together and update our trust. She had great insight and advice on the best way to set up our trust, but also provided suggestions in an unbiased way. I have highly recommended her to friends.

I have serious regrets about hiring Kathleen. She sells and drops. Per the good reviews here, I hired her to draw up a simple estate plan and family trust. Her rate was reasonable, she seemed competent. Her style is very blunt. She does talk down to you if you don't understand some concepts. Regretfully we looked past that.

Drawing up an estate plan or trust is one thing. Delivering on it, when you really need someone to support you is where Kathleen's help disappears. I expect the people who wrote the good reviews here will experience it when the time comes. Take a look at the other reviews and you'll noticed that the support folks received post completion was terrible. She will not help you. You'll get short blunt 1 sentence replies to emails with no explanations and no suggestions for alternatives and a complete lack of empathy. Kind of feels like you're being told to go away.

Here are my key complaints.

- it started when she told us she wouldn't be able to send digital copies of our estate. she will only provide a paper version which you then have to scan and keep on file. This can be problematic if you move away and lose your copy. For an estate plan, who knows where you'll be when the time comes.

- The big issue I had is to do with support for trust related issues after the trust was complete. I had stock options listed under the trust but when I moved internationally, I didn't have a bank account tied to the trust when the stocks were exercised. So I needed her to write a simple "letter of intent" or "comfort letter" which is very common practice for an attorney. Kathleen said "No, I can't. I'm sorry" and refused to help us or which created real complications and headaches. I asked numerous times again and only got direct, blunt replies with no advice and or help at all. I have now had to hire another attorney to read the document she created and write a "comfort letter". Something they were happy to do.

Look elsewhere. It's worth spending a little more to know that you'll get the support when you most need it.

Kathleen handled the creation of a package of living trust, will and durable power of attorney for me. She was efficient, timely, and affordable. Her communication skills are excellent and she made the process as simple as could be. Very glad to have worked with her.

Kathleen is incredible. My husband and I procrastinated getting our living trust completed..in fact we were trying to do it on our own. Finally Covid hit and we said "enough is enough." We called Kathleen and in one interview she had nearly all the info she needed. She asked questions in a way that was easy to understand and not overwhelming. When we needed advice on specific issues like guardianship she did not force her opinion, she laid out options based on her experience. From there it was easy for us to make decisions.

Since completing our trust (yay), she has responded to all follow up questions in less than 24 hours (mostly about funding the trust). We've also asked for other legal info, and where possible she has given referrals. We can't recommend her enough. Kathleen, thank you for taking care of our family!

Kathleen Hunt has been my attorney for many years. I contacted her about revising one of my legal documents recently. I need it to send to my financial institution in order to complete a separate transaction. Time is of the essence, and I am out of town for a month trying to get the revision process started in order to sign the revised document as soon as I return home. This is an account of our communications:

12/23 Conversation to clarify needs. Kathleen requested payment in order to start the work and reminded me that she does not accept electronic payment. Since I do not have my checkbook with me, she asked me to have the bank issue a paper check on my behalf, but my bank does not offer that service.

1/8 After I had completed some document revision work, I assumed (incorrectly) that "not accepting electronic payments" meant personal payments forms such as PayPal, Venmo etc. I signed up to have my bank send a payment (bank-to-individual system). Kathleen reminded me that a bank-to-individual payment was not acceptable.

I asked if I could bring my paper check to my in-person appointment or drop off my paper check a day before we met. Kathleen said that she needs a check at least a week before the appointment so that the check has time to clear.

I said that I would ask a family member to drop-off a check. I re-iterated that I need the paperwork completed asap. Kathleen said that if I had the check dropped off the weekend prior to our meeting, it could work. We then scheduled an appointment based on that plan.

1/9/22 I arranged to have my relative dropped off their paper check and to reimburse them. After the check was dropped off Kathleen notified me that she could not accept a check written by someone else on my behalf lest the other person think she was representing their interests and not mine.

I said that I wished I had known that before sending my relative over with their check. Kathleen suggested I bring a cashier's check on the day of our appointment, but my bank is on the other side of the country so I'd need to go to another bank which would require a couple of days at the ATM withdrawing money, then finding a bank that would issue a cashier's check. I asked if she would accept a wire transfer (bank-to-bank) payment (note: the same kind of payments used for large financial transactions such as real estate sales).

Kathleen said no, that it would have to be a cashier's check or money order. If I have the energy to run around after my monthlong trip I will try to get a cashier's check or money order. If not, I am back to waiting a week after I return to complete and sign my papers.

Kathleen Hunt is experienced, efficient, knowledgeable, and very quick in the turn around of work requested. She was also available for questions after our trust was complete. I found her approach to be professional and extremely helpful in completing this arduous task of which we had procrastinated for years. Kathleen made it as painless as possible, asking the right questions and gently directing us to possible answers and solutions.
She is an expert and we would hire her again.

Super-duper! Kathleen's calm and reassuring approach was ideal for me in effectuating with ease what we're some delicate and awkward issues for me. Tremendously speedy and efficient, and then even more so when an urgency presented itself. Her "package plans" made my other considerations highly cost-effextive.
The whole process, from initial contact to culmination was concluded in a weeks despite the necessity of a preponderance of complicated paperwork that spanned a gamet of end-of-the-life planning.
I won't pretend that I have garnered a wide array of esquires in this realm, but it is difficult to imagine my selecting a better choice to meeting my documentary, educational and supportive needs.
Please note that the above, while laden with superlatives, was wholly unsolicited.
