I'm surprised to see that the guests who dine here don't shower it with more reviews. Give this restaurant a try!
Service is something I take very seriously, and all employees were all hands on deck to make sure we had the perfect dining experience.
When you get seated, your table has two fresh lemons for you to use on whichever dish you prefer throughout your dining. The Wild Salmon, and Whole Grilled Branzino, were delicious. The w h o l e Branzino, with no thorns... amazing! Everything we ordered (as pictured) was delicious. The cocktails had just the right amount of alcohol where you don't feel like you're being jipped on ratio, but it's also not too strong to enjoy drinking. Even the bread and butter was delicious, I had never seen butter like that before!
Now for Service - My mom was cold so they offered us a heater, they brought/offered us a blanket, and they (Danny) brought the cutest tea set for hot water/lemon/our own fresh jar of honey. On the way out, they gave us each a jar of granola for the morning (Alex). Alex was our server and he made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The manager, Steven, was very attentive to his guests; he saw me drop my mask (COVID times..) on the floor, and insisted that he bring us all brand new masks!
The first restaurant we saw had a 3 hour wait. We just happened to stumble across this beauty in the courtyard, and got seated very fast, with a full house. I'm not in Beverly Hills often, but I'll be coming here again. Cheers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - sabi b.Paramount, CA723Jan 8, 2010
I love Boe.
I found this place through a friend that used to work there..he used to bartend there.
I used to work right down the street from them, and oh man, I've spent a few nights there meeting all sorts of wonderful people.
The staff is friendly and spunky as fuck. LOVE them. Patrick is an amazing bartender (and ladies, you should see him shake a martini!!..no, really. You need to see it) Pat, if you're reading this..hope it's not making you blush ;)
Anyway, great food, great ambiance, great drinks. They have a nice selection of spirits and wines. Their signature fresh cocktails are delicious and their mini curry burgers are to die for!! No joke. Also, if you ever happen to catch their portabella risotto on their menu, GET IT!!! Thank me later.
The seating is nice with an nice roaring fire...incidentally, this same fire serves as the fire that services the inside loungers as well. Ingeniously designed.
Oh, about the seating..be warned, when/if you sit at the bar itself, there's one chair that sinks loooooow. It's the "dummy" chair. Sometimes it annoys me, but most times I don't care either way, haha.
So yeah, definitely swing by!!
oh oh oh..do try their oatmeal for breakfast. I've a picture of it in my profile..oh man, best oatmeal EVER!!! I mean, seriously, when's the last time you heard someone say that about Oatmeal??? try it ;)Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - barbara b.San Francisco, CA1107329Nov 4, 2009
Went here during restaurant week, which made it really affordable.
I made reservations only to find that there was NO ONE else in the restaurant. Usually not a good sign but we were there so we chose a table on the patio.
The ambiance was pleasant but you could hear/see traffic from Crescent Drive and Burton Way.
The service was good - as one would hope given that we were the only ppl there. The waiter even brought my dog a bowl of water.
The food was decent. The tuna tartare was traditional but tasty. The pulled pork sandwich was interesting - on French bread rather than the traditional burger bun. My friend had the pizza bread which was also a good appetizer.
Overall, worth it given the reduced price for restaurant week (and the fact that I got to take the decorative apple off the table for my horse).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cyrus G.Los Angeles, CA1325948Feb 20, 2014
We love our new town of Beverly Hills and its many fine restaurants and its high level of service. We went to the Terrace based on the rave reviews here expecting impeccable service. The first night, there was no valet in the front and no direct number to talk to the restaurant. I had first called the number posted here thinking I am speaking to the restaurant asking if they are fully booked and whether they can fit in 2 people the guy says they do but it is a very small space good for one person only and they cant allow 2 people. I said "what do you mean?" The guy says they have a room but it is so small they can only allow one person in there. I am thinking this restaurant has many rooms for customers and they are going to put us in a little chamber good for one person only, wtf? We are human beings not animals. LOL. Anyways, we figured we are talking to the front desk of the hotel and that we had just had a Seinfeld scene there.
We show up in the cold night, there is no valet. We wait and nobody shows up for 5 minutes and we finally get out looking for this 24-hour valet that is not around. We go inside and out and wait outside in the cold looking for the guy to show up. Btw, it turned out the "24 hour valet" is there till 10pm, so when we decided later that night to hop to another place for deserts, we had to valet it again!
Peeking into the hotel was another experience: instead of a nice big lobby, you enter into a 2x6 foot space where other people's feet, shoes and floor dust are at you face level. The hotel front desk is up a short flight of stairs at a split level where their floor is at your face. You don't get any attention from anyone and breathe in dust from people walking at that level. That is how grand this hotel is.
We finally entered the hotel and after going thru some dark hallways, found our way at a bar counter and 3 or 4 tables spread in various corners, where we were told that is the restaurant. I liked the color scheme as it almost seemed monochromatic at night. The food was ok but slow in coming. The hostess/ waitress was pleasant. The two appetizers and two entrees came in as four separate dishes, one at a time, 20 minutes apart or so. So no coursing. The actual terrace was too cold too hang out at. The deserts sounded uninteresting. The price and quality were good. We liked it as a somewhat quirky and different experience.
We were told they have live Jazz and since we have supported over a 100 jazz events in the past year, we were excited to come back for live jazz in Beverly Hills. This town does not have too many live music venues anymore and anything is better than nothing.
This 2nd visit was horrible and I doubt we will ever go back to this place. See update as I cannot fit more than so many characters in a review..Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Linh B.Alhambra, CA19Oct 13, 2009
This review is for the happy hour only. Like many others, this happy hour ends at 7pm (boo!). I wish happy hours were open longer but I can't complain, at least they have a HH.
The HH menu consists of a pretty good selection of food. My favorite is the mac n cheese. It never disappoints! The wine is also a good pour and delicious. During the summers, you can sit in the patio area, drinking wine, eating delicious appetizers at $7 a pop.
The servers are a hit or miss. We had a fabolous server earlier in the summer that was nice, friendly and attentive. This last time we went though, the server had a very snotty attitude. That made for a very bad experience. For a brief second, someone else did come by to see how we were doing...those seconds were great. Then she returned, and it was back to dealing with her pretentious, snobby attitude. She almost made you not want to order another glass of wine...but even she couldnt stop us.
All in all, I definitely recommend this place for after work HH drinks and food.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bethany H.Northridge, CA016Oct 17, 2015
Terrible experience. Beautiful location on the strand, shame that the place was so disappointing.

Nice design and outdoor space. It was a little chilly the night we went, so we ate inside. There are just a few indoor tables. Staff was friendly, service was great. Enjoyed the food. Started with the buffalo chicken app - wasn't fond of the spices - would skip it next time. Had the steak and frites for a main course - excellent - and quite large - could easily split with someone if you'd like. Nice wine list. Nothing really new and different, but comfortable, friendly and a relaxing dining experience.
