Ordered a couple slices to go for lunch. Quickly put the slices in the oven, came out in less than 5 minutes. Pizza was great NY style like I grew up with. Nice balance of acidity and sweetness, thin crust crispy enough to hold the "Brooklyn Fold" without dripping like softer crusts do. Service was friendly, restaurant seemed clean. Very satisfied with my visit and will go again!

We were craving kosher chicken but missed The Grove by 1 minute @ 8:01pm. Fortunately, Jon's Place was open until 9pm. We went with the falafel wrap which was a refreshing spin from the traditional pita. It was very earthy, hydrating and flavorful. The falafel wrap came with hummus, tahini and Israeli salad. The wrap kind of fell apart but went great with a fork and knife.
This is also a kosher pizza joint with Italian food and fish. I hadn't had Jons place since 10 years ago. They really are a neighborhood staple. I'll be back soon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Darrin T.Boca Raton, FL019111Oct 27, 2022Updated review
My second visit was not a pleasant one. Ordered their two slices & a soda special. Went to the beverage station with my cup only to find no ice and soda that was warm as pish. Went to the counter and was told the ice machine is not working. This is a possible health code violation as the beverage station itself has to remain refrigerated at all times to prevent bacteria from forming inside of the machine. They also do not allow refills as a sign reads, "One soda only!" LOL! You can keep your precious warm soda as I refuse to return.

While there was a bit of an aftertaste, it still fared better than Cannoli Kitchen across the way. Although the waiting time here was a bit too long.

Loved my tuna salad. Place looked clean and staff was friendly. Thanks for the hard work to provide a quality pizza joint.

Man was waiting an hour for his pie, when he asked for it he got yelled at and the worker caused an unnecessary scene and embarrassed the man terribly. I would not recommend coming here - not a great atmosphere.

I've lived here in boca for more than 6 years now and Jon's was the only place around for more than half of that time. They have never had good pizza but they had a monopoly in the kosher pizza area in boca.
I went in a couple of years ago and the staff were very very rude to me. Said nasty and insulting comments to me for absolutely no reason at all. Whenever I would enter I would be insulted for no good reason other than a seemingly bad attitude from employees. Finally, when a man behind the counter called me an inappropriate name I decided it was the last time I would enter Jon's. The pizza wasn't good enough to be constantly bombarded with hurtful comments. It ruined my day when I'd enter.
After three years of not entering Jon's, I finally decided to give them another shot last this week. I went with a group of friends and they ordered ahead of me. I was the order after them. After 15 minutes they got the pizza and started eating. After a few minutes I decided to ask the very friendly (she was actually very sweet and helpful) lady behind the desk what the ETA was as my friends were almost done eating. I ordered a simple pie to go. Not a difficult order, besides the fact that people after me already received their orders at this point. She told me it would be 5 minutes.
After waiting another 25 minutes, my friends were waiting to leave and I felt terrible. I went over to the register again and simply asked how long it would take. She was apologetic and went to ask Jon, the owner how much longer it would be, as I was already waiting for almost an HOUR! He said "8 minutes minimum"'. At this point I was frustrated but calmly asked her to cancel my order which she swiftly started to initiate the cancellation. Jon, overhearing me canceling quickly yells "why are you canceling your order??!". He then looks at my shirt which had my company name on it ( it's a prestigious Fortune 500 company which Jon recognized), and aggressively asks me "you work at THAT company?!" I replied "yes". He then yells " you're smart enough to work there but too dumb to realize I was talking about how long slices would take?!". He then frantically lunges for someone else's pie and hands it to me. Only when I was going to cancel was he ready to give me my pizza. Ridiculous.
I was shocked. Simply just shocked that the owner of the store just insulted me in front of the whole store. Many people including the woman behind the register had their mouths dropped. I was embarrassed. I can't believe this happened to me again. Maybe I'll be back in another 3 years to give them another chance. Until then I'm sticking to Rave pizza and Lenny's!
Jon, please take this review as a piece of advice to not be so rude to your customers, or you'll simply be driven out of business. You aren't the only game in town anymore. Be careful because your pizza won't keep you in business, especially with the attitude your store seems to serve its customers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shania D.Central LA, Los Angeles, CA069Jun 16, 2022
When I walked in their were no dine in customers. I placed an order to go. The young employee who took my order was practically half asleep while taking my order. after waiting 20 min for a pizza I asked him how much longer my order was going to take and he realizes he didn't send the order. No apology or sign of remorse. His boss constantly critiquing him out loud as if he knows any better how to be professional. Just a total disappointment. Got a refund and left.

The only thing worse than their stale, reheated pizza that looked like it was sitting on a back counter for half a day was their awful customer service. They are extremely rude and obnoxious to their customers. Not sure why anyone would go back here. There are other kosher pizza options in town that are much better than this garbage.

As a person with celiac who was happy to order a gluten free pizza, I was appalled to see the pizza baker take the gluten free pizza out of the same oven as the regular pizza. He also cut the gluten free pizza with the same pizza knife as the regular pie. customers who are celiac should be made aware that the pizza Ingredients may be gluten free but the pizza is technically not.
