I had heard about this restaurant long before I actually got to try it and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. A quaint little cafe situated in downtown bixby with a laid back ambiance and delicious food! The restaurant was packed when we arrived (so I knew it was gonna be delicious) but the waitresses were kind and we got a table quickly. We sat, perused the menu and both got the chicken strip dinner. Service was fast and the food was 10/10. If you're in the area you HAVE to try.

I'm so picky about beans! As most of us country folk are, these are great!
Chicken strip dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, & fried okra. This picture makes me hungry still! So good!

We found this local cafe because of crowd going in the door. I glad we did. I had a delicious classic club sandwich which was delicious. Todd ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. You know they can cook when you get excellent onion rings. Great food quickly and super friendly service makes this a great choice. I hope to order from the breakfast

Want really good prices?? Like you got inside a Time Machine and went back to the 1980's prices?? This place is for you! The prices were almost shocking! Really good food! This is a small neighborhood cafe, that is dated and not as clean as a lot of places, but gives off "back in the days vibes". Even tho it's dated and needs shuffle Ramsey to come in and make it beautiful lol, the food, staff and prices are a win. They make homemade chicken and dumplings, I had the BLT and it was yum! It's $5.39 and comes with chips. YES you read that correctly.... Super affordable. I chose to add in- house made onion rings for an additional $2.99 and they reminded me of the kind my dad use to make. Very pleased with my lunch. I will say they add a $1 fee for a thingy of ranch (ranch was not that good tbh). I didn't know that and probably wouldn't of gotten it. My friend had a hamburger and chose to opt out of the chips that do come with it - instead she got the fries. I tasted her burger and it was very good! BIG sodas. BIG sodaaaaa...
They also sale homemade desserts and also peanut brittle. I didn't get any because I was about to POP.
Cute little downtown Bixby with a couple cute shops you can walk to as well. Just a tip.... I didn't care for the Copper Key Coffeeshop I went into. I have a separate review on that.

An outstanding café. Friendly attentive service and excellent food, a good variety of diner menu offerings, at bargain prices.

I just knew that my wife would order the Indian Taco. I just knew it! Wrong, she went with the Fish Basket, one of today's specials. I followed her lead. A $10.99 value packed basket of food. Crispy coated fries, a school of fresh crusty hot moist catfish filets, great coleslaw, an odd looking, but delicious version of a hush puppy and a cup of perfect tartar sauce. Generous portions. You probably can't eat it all.

The ladies serving were constantly checking on customer needs, always greeting with big personable smiles. You will feel like you are a local and a regular customer here.

The café is small, still packed with customers at 2:30 when we entered.
The Stepping Stone Café knows how to fry fish.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! It was absolutely fantastic. The service is courteous and instant. When the building and every single table inside is filled with a constant turn over, you know everything thereafter is gonna be great. The burger had an incredible flavor, juicy and savory like a burger should be! The chicken fried steak is fried to order, as well as the onion rings and fries. Everything was fantastic and well seasoned without over doing it. I would consider this place to be an instant classic. Did I mention it's native owned? I absolutely will be back and will continue recommending this to all of my friends.

Better than most hamburger joints and prices as gone up as like everything else. Wait staff are friendly and quick to get your order. Burger comes with chips, fries are an up charge place is small and very popular so get there before 5:30pm or you could be waiting on a table. They do offer counter seating as well.

Steak fingers were delicious, dipped into the white gravy. Okra was okay, as well as mashed potatoes. Wife had Indian taco. A bit dissatisfied with the fried bread. Special of the day and a lot of people were eating them. Wasn't what she'd order again.
Service is always spot-on. Can't say enough about staff. Very nice.

Steak fingers! Mash potatoes w/gravy and fried okra.
