Wow! So good....and I've never been here? How is this possible?! I want you to pay attention when I say this........BEST MEAL ever. From the crab cakes to the perfectly cooked steak to the Carmel sauce on my brownie. Everything was just perfect.
If you are in The Muk you MUST try this restaurant , oh and I used their yelp deal with no problem, in fact they also gave my husband a free dessert for his bday. -

Sort of a high end Cheers with good grub and white tablecloths, the kind of place regulars will be remembered, probably by their second visit.
Good start to the meal, nice local artisan herb bread and hubby's Tanqueray martini intact with the perfect amount of fine ice chips.
My pork medallions succulently swam in a wipe-the-plate clean delicioso vermouth-based demi-glace sauce with artichokes elephant garlic, capers, and artichoke yumminess. The rest of the plate didn't hold a candle to it, but that's ok.
Hubby's beef stroganoff was good, not special, suspect if he'd had the signature steak he's be a happier camper as stroganoff is not his usual fare for a reason.
Key lime pie... ok but probably not worth the calories.
Living Social got made the meal affordable, a little pricey otherwise though that seems par for the course here, still suffering sticker shop compared to Portland area prices. If John's was as close as the slightly higher priced Anthonys, would consider it a reasonable stop for a nicer meal, especially for out of town guests. Nicer interior, doesn't have Anthony's marina view, though a much more intimate, attentive dining experience. -

Very good and well prepared food. The restaurant is very small and servers multi-task, so if it is busy be patient.
It aint cheap, but the quality is worth the price. -

Mukilteo, WA
This is the place to go in Mukilteo for excellent steak and seafood. The service is great and the food is of the highest quality. Happy hour is great with the best martini in town. A favorite!

Mukilteo, WA
The food was really good! We had the seasonal fish and a pasta dish and both were perfect. I have not found a better place in Mukilteo.
The only downside that the can run out of your favorite dish so get in early. -

Update - Ellen the bartender hostess is gone. I'm not sure this place is the same without her.

"Ooo, we should go there." "That place looks cool." "I hear they have an interesting menu." "Are we EVER going there?!"
Last night, after finding a jam-packed Diamond Knot (dang you, "Tight Wad Tuesdays"!!), we decided to FINALLY make a stop up the hill in Old Town Mukilteo at John's Grill.
The location is new and the space is certainly cool, posh, and chill. I liked the art they had hung. For some reason I kept diving into the painting of a 70's muscle car.
After a rough day (backed up sewer, drive over Scary Snoqualmie, and not eating the whole day), I was ready to get my eat on. They only had two brews on tap, so I had the Diamond Knot IPA (bro had the Manny's & my future sister had the house red).
For an appetizer we had Polenta sticks. I didn't know what polenta was, but it was seasoned well and the it tasted good with the Roquefort sauce.
For the entree, I was torn between several (somewhat pricey) dishes. I ended up going with the most expensive (deserved it after the wacked day I had AND since my bro was payin!): Filet Mignon cooked with peppercorn.
I loved my meal. The meat was succulent (I had it cooked medium well, instead of the "burnt to a crisp" I usually go for), and head-spinningly good. It was served with asparagus & small potatoes. I snuck bites from my bro's NY Steak (yum), and sister's Pork Tenderloin (SNAP! The sauce was good on this one! {this was one of my other choices}).
Our server was nice and we were digging the atmosphere, even if it did feel a bit hawty tawty (I was dressed for a pub!). John's Grill did not disappoint! -

My parents really love this place. I mean REEAlly love it. After they discovered it last Christmas I swear they were talking about the steak with roquefort cheese for over a month.
The quality of food here is excellent - the corn chowder is *Amazing*. So is the crab cake and the steaks are all consistently delish.
John's is in a quiet little out-of-the way spot that gives you a good excuse to drive down to pretty Mukilteo. It doesn't have the view that Ivar's has but it won't have a crowd either and you're guaranteed awesome service and food. -

Awesome Steaks!! The pepper topping was a bit much but the steak was great. My wife had the Garlic Chicken and it was Fabulous! Some friends had the Seafood Linguini and they loved that as well. Will be visiting this place many more times!

Wonderful food. Not the BEST service in the world, but I've seen worse. The food more than made up for it.

This is such a cute place. Although you don't have a view of the water, it makes up for it by its ambiance and small intimate dining room. There are only 10 or so tables and there is a full bar with some seating too, which makes for a nice quite romantic atmosphere. My husband and I went here a few days before valentines day, even though the restaurant lost our reservation, they were able to find a seat right away. The food was to die for and good portions too. We had the calimari which was amazing with its jalepeno dipping sauce, and I barely like calimari. I ordered the pork tenderloin, which came with fetticcini (most favorful fettuccini I've ever had), and asparagus. It was so delicious I couldn't leave anything on my plate....I had to eat it all....and I did. My husband ordered the steak, which I guess is what John's Grill is known for. He had the peppered steak, which was perfectly seasoned and the coloring for medium steak was perfect. The Whole meal was wonderful, service was very attentive and made a perfect romantic evening.
