Good selection, fun area to chill across from Armstrong Park. Very helpful helpful staff, Dave knows his stuff and kept the vibe upbeat. Must go!

For a unique and absolutely creative Halloween decor bar, this place was amazing. Old football helmets lining the walls are really cool. Nostalgic pinball machine is very entertaining.
The best bar tender ever so friendly accommodating and great at making drink suggestions. Had a great time here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lindsey R.Forest Hills, NY7111118Oct 1, 2019
When New Yorkers stumble into a bar in New Orleans and love it...you know it's a great bar.
Marsha the bartender made the best homemade hurricanes. We will be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Brandi H.Sacramento, CA8109191381May 9, 2019
Highly recommended place on bourbon street.
We stopped by for a quick shot of tequila and use of the facilities.
Kevin was our bartender and he was awesome he had a fabulous personality that radiated from him.
SIDE NOTE: The women's bathroom is incredibly awkwardHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 10, 2015
If you need to get off Bourbon for a bit and wind down from the craziness, come to Johnny White's. There's beer, mixed drinks, seating, and an upstairs balcony all waiting for you!
The bartender working the day we visited was very nice and welcoming. There seemed to be a bunch of regulars stopping by. The prices are decent. It seems kind of divey but not filthy like some other dive bars in the area. Definitely a solid place to check out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rai Rai A.San Diego, CA9191Feb 5, 2020
I dont remember a whole lot but I know they serve food upstairs. And this is the best Jumbalaya ever.

Found this Redskins bar on Bourbon Street Thanksgiving Day for the Redskins Cowboys debacle. A treat to root for my hometown team in New Orleans and fun to HTTR-it up. It's a small place with limited seated at the bar and we'll everywhere. It's clean and bar service was good. Overall nothing special except the Redskins theme.

Was heading to the Boondock from Saints & Sinners back on 2/23/13 but Johnny's sits right next to it...The Boondock looked a bit too crowded and loud for my taste so I backtracked about 5 steps and grabbed a stool at the bar...
Can't speak for other nights and times but on this night this place was a drinkers bar!! Crowd was pretty thin pre-midnight and it was perfect if you wanted a dark, dingy, quiet joint to just sit in, get tight and conversate...
Credit cards are accepted but you gotta run a minimum $10 tab to use it...no big cause that's 2 mixed drinks or 2-3 beers to clear the limit...and let's face it you ain't stopping in here just to grab a drink to go!
I loved this place and the bartendress mixed a stiff $5 Dewars & water...I gotta create a list just to put this place on it...Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Joseph H.Fullerton, CA26971Oct 18, 2019
We ate upstairs and I think it was the worst service I've ever had. We felt uncomfortable the whole time and it was almost laughable towards the end. Skip this place!
