John O.Marion, AL013Oct 28, 2023We have eaten here many times. Today was terrible I ordered a chili burger with bacon cooked medium. The bacon was burned black. The burger was beyond well done burned too. And it took almost and hour to get it. Then I made the mistake of getting wings as a substitute. They to were over cooked to where the chicken was crunchy not the coating the chicken meat.
After years it has degraded to the point I will no longer eat here or recommend it.

The food is freshly cooked when you order, and they have so many choices. Pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. They have an outside area, or inside area complete with a little arcade too. The servers are friendly and make you feel welcomed!

Gary G.Suches, GA2252118Nov 19, 2022Updated reviewCome on now. We used to like this place but there's something wrong. Since our four-star rating, we have returned a few times. There were problems with the food and service each time.
This evening we made the mistake of assuming they couldn't mess up a pizza to go. Well, they did. We received a thin crust. We didn't order a thin crust. No slices, just bite size pieces stuck to the cardboard because Chef Goober Ramsey forgot or didn't care to place wax paper under the pizza to keep it from sticking to the cardboard. The middle was not edible unless you don't mind eating cardboard.

The employees are always friendly. IMHO it's bar food. If you want something fancy there's other restaurants down the road. Dahlonega is a college town so you'll find the restaurant/bar busier on the weekends. The outdoor patio is pet friendly.

I have to add that we sat in the bar area and had the bartender as our server. He was the absolute best guy there could have been. He was constantly checking on us and his service was impeccable. I wish I got his name as his attitude is what servers and bartenders should use as gospel. Food was good, beer was cold (and cheap) and we had a great time.

There was an odor I couldn't identify and the AC system barely kept the place from being steamy. Time to put some money into this place or it will just be a college hang out.
Dec 27, 2012Previous reviewWe have been through Dahlonega hundreds of times, (our son went to school at NGCSU) and had seen the sign and it looked JUST like the Johnny B's sign that used to be in Cumming. Well we finally stopped in about a month ago on a rainy Monday afternoon. We sat in the bar area and the locals were congregating. Staff was super friendly. I had a Gold Rush Burger which was SO GOOD!!!! My wife had a Gyro which she thoroughly enjoyed. That day she wasn't in the mood to try their pizza, but 3 days later we did! Great Chicago style thin crust and cut into squares just as I remember growing up there. A week later brought our son and his wife there. They enjoyed the pizza and he has a Gold Rush Burger too which he said was excellent. Beer was cold and cheap and he was driving so I had a few! This is our new Dahlonega place!

Definitely not the old Johnny B's from Cumming with Vienna Chicago hotdogs , good pizza and Italian beef sandwiches.
