Joe knows good food. Eat at Joe's! We used to go to nearby Spitz on the reg. My brother started a job next door to Spitz and said he eats there often but when he has the energy he walks up to Joe's because the food is better. When I heard something was better than Spitz I knew I better try it. Brother was correct. This our new favorite spot.

Joe introduced himself and when we told him it was our first time he really gave us the deluxe intro that included free falafel samples.

The beef lamb gyro meat was my favorite part of the meal. My wife is crazy about the salads. And we both thought the falafel was best we have had in the US.

Looking forward to going back soon.

This is my favorite falafel spot in Los Angeles. Fresh pita, wonderful, garlic sauce, fresh falafel, great service, incredible ambience, great place to go with your date. Enjoy!

It was my first time at this establishment. I heard good things about this place and read all the great Yelp! reviews, so I thought I'd finally check it out myself.

Much to my delight, everything from the initial telephone ordering experience to the in-person customer service exhibited during pickup--not the least of which, the truly high quality of food--greatly exceeded my expectations.

The employees were friendly and professional, and William, in particular, was exceptional in the quality customer care that he provided. While he confessed to not being the restaurant owner, William's pride of employment was evident, and he went out of his way to make me feel welcomed and specially cared for. Furthermore, to ensure the positivity of my first-time experience, William gave me a free sampling of Joe's famous falafels, as well as some additional complimentary "extras", such as freshly baked laffa bread, radishes, and extra dipping sauces. Needless to say, I was blown away by the delicious falafel (honestly, the best I've ever had); but even more so, by the excellent customer service that I received! William is unequivocally an exemplary ambassador and representative of the business, treating it as if it were his own!

In the final analysis, the food and service were excellent. The location is also very convenient--in the heart of Universal City/Hollywood Hills--just 5 mins from my property and freeway (101) close. The parking was plentiful and easy too. I highly recommend Joe's Falafel. I definitely intend to come back, and will be sure to spread the good word about this culinary gem to family and friends!

      They're #1 for a reason!
Eat in or take out. Not much ambiance inside, but better to eat the food when it is fresh and delicious
Falafel are green, so they have excellent flavor. Hummus is the real deal. Cabbage salad is excellent - green and red - I like red the best.
Pitas are a little tough, but they help hold the falafel together without falling apart in your lap.
Look at their catering menu. It's a great deal.
They have a parking lot to make things very easy.

I'm a new customer here and the food is fantastic.

A couple of things that bothers me about this place is I have to ask for the garlic sauce and salad dressing. This happens when the owner is not there.

First visit, the owner hooked me up with all the condiments and he knew I was a new customer.

On my second visit to the restaurant for take-out, I assumed salad dressing and the garlic sauce was in the bag. Got home and it wasn't there. I figured it was a honest mistake.

On the third visit for take-out, I realized the worker doesn't include the dressing nor the garlic sauce unless you ask.

The second thing that bothers me is the same worker who hands out the sauces helps make the large sandwich wrap. He flips the wrap to heat it up, but he doesn't wash his hands prior to touching the wrap.

      3 check-ins

I was craving some gyro and I had the gyro in pita bread. I enjoyed it so much that I had it again a few days later. I had the gyro lafa. I enjoyed both of these so much. I don't know if I had cravings, but this place is so good. They have options for plates and bowls (both have rice), but I think the sandwiches are my thing. I have to try their other meats in sandwich form. The falafels here are so good and a must each visit.

Food and service here were amazing! If you're ever in the area stop by and get your Mediterranean fix! The grilled chicken was so fresh! I was so hungry and forgot to take a pic of my plate.

We ordered the vegetarian plates. The food came out very quickly and it's amazing.
Very, very fresh and delicious. The falafel are incredibly filling: crunchy outside, moist inside.
Baba ganoush and hummus are on point. Thick, hot pita bread. And all the freshness from tomatoes, cucumbers, slaws, and tabouli are on point. Service was so sweet.
Stop by this place for a fast, fresh meal.

Pepsi on tap but they do have coca cola products in a mini fridge up front
