Marshalls

I like this Marshall's - it's a big store and they have a lot of great items that are priced well. The store is clean, well kept, and organized nicely (even during the Christmas madness). Employees are friendly and try to keep the check out line moving along quickly.

Another Marshall's I visited! Not much different from the other one I visited across town on my first day to Huntsville, Alabama!

We have Marshall's Department Stores in Dallas, I believe each location carries attire that is particular to that area. The store was extremely organized and clean! Yes, I said organized and clean!! What's up with that! That was a really nice surprise!

I was able to locate several tops at a great price! The clothes I found were brand name, some had designer labels, and several were just one-of-a-kind gems. I was really happy with the selections. The prices were even better!

First impression on grand opening day for their new location... Sweet! Every department was quite organized from shoes, toiletries, clothing, and did I say shoes?! ;D


LOCATION & PARKING 4/5

This new location is conveniently located off Hwy 72 near Wall Triana Hwy. Parking on the first day seemed like a nightmare for some, but we scored fine. I'd imagine it would be crazy busy the first few weeks, so plan accordingly. Mornings may not have the same problem.


ATMOSPHERE & AMBIANCE 4/5

What does one expect when rolling into a Marshalls?! Lots of space and great deals! Not sure if this location is any bigger than the one they moved from off University or the one in Jones Valley. I'm thinking it's slightly smaller in comparison, just a tad. Nevertheless, this store is quite organized, well lighted, lots of space to walk between departments and isles. Even the toiletries were spaced out and organized by brand.


CUSTOMER SERVICE 4/5

One of the things that stood out is the customer service. Upon entering expect a greeting from one of the employees followed by a pitch on their TJMaxx credit card. Don't be surprised if you get approached by different employees w the same pitch throughout your visit. I believe there's a gift you would get if you took the time to sign up. I probably turned down 5 employees on our first visit, but they were still kind when I told them "no thank you, already have it." Check out line was minimal to none as there were a handful of employees already waiting to assist the next person who stepped into the line. I can only hope that the genuine kindness and hospitality we experienced on their 1st week will last beyond that and through every future visit.


PURSE LOVAS 4/5

For those of us that like purses, bags, and the sort will like the selection here. To my delight, the name brands actually had their charms attached as well as their long sling straps and sleeves to store them in when not in use. This is a big plus! Majority of the time when buying top name brands at such stores, the bags/purses are missing these accessories. I wondered at times if that's the reason why they're sold here or if it's because either patrons or employees themselves remove them for themselves. Sad thought. Anywho, the purses so far in this store, at least on its grand opening day, had the additional accessories normally found w purses bought at big department stores such as Macy's or Nordstrom.


VERDICT & RETURN 4/5

Overall experience so far has been good. Prices are reasonable and consistent w their other locations. I'll definitely be returning.

I recently made several purchases. At the register the employee was ringing my purchases and instead of keeping them on the counter in front of us he was putting them on the counter behind him with limited visibility. Immediately it felt odd to me. I made a mental note to make sure I received all my products. I got caught up in checking out and didn't pay attention. Once home I realized I was missing $20 worth of product. I immediately called the store manager and gave him all the identifiable information from my receipt. Jig told me he'd call me in a couple days after getting with loss prevention. I never received a call back. I filled out an online complaint and have heard nothing back. This store does not take serious customer service or employee theft.

I love love love this store and especially around the holidays. I cannot believe how good the prices are and what a selection they have. There is always someone walking around eager to help you too.
