Been a client since I moved to Hudson. Amazing cut! Amazing experience!

If you are looking for an NYC caliber haircut, style, or coloring, this is the place.

Once you have had your hair done here, you understand why Jim has had clients for over 20+ years, with some of them traveling to him from as far as Virginia, Connecticut, or Georgia.

I wish I could review Jim Wach. But all I can say is: if you're curious about this salon, get ready to wait. I waited two months for an appointment, and there was a severe snowstorm on the big day. Jim promised to reschedule before I left the country in 10 days. Not even a call back, except at one point to say "Jim is going to try." Really? Well, I got my hair cut in Mombasa. Months later, I made one more try and encountered the same attitude and again, a lengthy wait. Hudson is only two hours from NYC so why bother? Top salons in NY, LA, and San Francisco have been far more pleasant.

Holy expensive haircut, batman! I went here based on the good reviews and while I got a decent haircut, I can't afford another one (anywhere) for a couple of months. Oy! These other reviewers must be from NY where a $65 haircut seems cheap. Jim was a really nice guy and very good at what he does, but only come here if you don't mind spending a lot of cash on a haircut. I will say this for him, Jim is the kind of guy where you could sit in his chair and let him do what HE thinks is best and you'd be in really good hands. I just can't afford those hands.

It is such a pleasure to walk into Jim's salon -- the crazy world just melts away and I know that I am in good hands. Jim has a wonderful, caring way about him and is a wizard who creates a flattering cut that looks great even as it grows out. The best!

Jim has been cutting my hair for about 15 years. From Greenwich, CT to Charlottesville, VA to Hudson, NY....I will follow Jim any where! He is the only person I allow to cut my hair....end of story! From cuts to color he is the best. Jim also uses high end organic products in his salon which is not only great for my hair but it's great on my noes (yes that is right, his salon never smells like chemicals). If I could give 10 starts I would!

Jim is the best! I live in Saratoga Springs ... no shortage of high-end salons here ... but I happily travel to Hudson every month to get great color and a flattering, easy-to-care-for cut in a relaxing Zen-like atmosphere. Stress does just fade away. Jim is exceptionally interesting as well as talented and I look forward to our conversations. Saw the salon a couple of summers ago while going into DaBa for dinner. I peeked in the window and it looked so cool! I said to my friend, "I need to come here for a haircut." Later that summer I was talking to a chef I knew who was looking for a new space. I suggested he check out Hudson. He replied, "That's funny. My friend Jim Wach has a great hair salon there and he's been encouraging me to come down and take a look." I knew right away... synchronicity was at work!
