Could this accomodate a party of 11 or is this too cramped?

      A:

Probably call ahead and see if management can accomodate. There's a room off to the left or if weather cooperates, you and your group could take all the outdoor seating.

Drinks - the drink selection was good and I really liked the blended chai boba I got. My partner got the normal milk tea and liked it as well. The boba was well done here - not too squishy or chewy. The chai was really tasty!

Service - very speedy and efficient! When I asked for a recommendation of boba or chai they recommended a blended chai with boba. That was perfect!

Ambiance - it's kind of a cute and interesting little spot. Not a ton of seating but it has a fire place, books, and a few board games you can take over to the booths and tables.

I've visited Jewel Cafe a few times, hoping for an improvement, but unfortunately, my recent visit left much to be desired. I ordered a couple of drinks, which were disappointingly cold. Additionally, while the customer service initially seemed suave, it has not been consistent over my visits.

Each time, I hoped for a better experience, but it seems the quality has not improved. The ambiance is inviting, but the service and drink quality need significant attention. I hope they can address these issues, as the cafe has potential. Until then, I can't recommend it based on my experiences.

      Updated review

I wish I could update my review with more stars, but the staff makes it hard.

Their food/drinks are delicious and I've ordered via delivery a few times the past few years. Was out and about doing errands and ordered some drinks to pick up and wasn't even acknowledged. I said "oh, I think these are mine" and the woman standing directly across the counter glanced up and said nothing and looked away again.

I don't know if it's because I didn't tip in app (I never do when I pick up, I'd rather leave cash. Or maybe she was having a bad day, but not one person behind the counter made an ounce of effort to be welcoming.

      I'll take my business elsewhere.

This place is so cute! I had a honey latte and the breakfast crepe and they were both so delicious! The crepe was really filling too.

I ordered a chicken bacon sandwich about an hr prior to closing and it arguably was the worst sandwich experience I've ever had. I'm not sure if they was gearing to close or what but the bread on my sandwich was hard as a rock and shriveled as if it had been reheated. It was so hard that when I bit into it pieces of the bread would break off like crackers. Very little content was on the inside of the sandwich. I definitely will be interested to see how they handle this. There is no way whomever packages this thought that this would be ok to serve someone.

Bread hard and broken off as I bit into the sandwich.

Their seasoned grilled cheese panini is one of the best sandwiches I have had in Seattle. I was grilled to perfection with loads of excess crispy cheese and yummy pesto and tomatoes.

The food was a little slow to come out but the servers were obviously working as quickly as they could. It was *busy*.

The cafe has a fun sudo victorian aesthetic.

It's an okay coffee shop. Pretty much everything is average. Or slightly above. Cappuccinos, hot chocolates, cookies, crepes, etc., all are "okay." A huge collection of crepes, and pretty much all are good. You won't be sorry you sat down. But it's by no means an unforgettable memory. The service is very nice and people are pleasant. That's true pretty much everywhere in the city. It's not crowded at all on a late Sunday afternoon. Maybe it gets busier at night. Or on weekend nights. The high tables are not so comfy, everything else is very nice. A bit dark inside, but it adds a vintage character. The music is nice as well. But too loud at his time of the day. Maybe to drown out the noise when it gets busy at night? I come often, when I'm walking around the area.

This has been a favorite place since they opened but our visit today will be our last. She seemed bothered by us coming to the counter and tried to close the order before my husband had a chance to say what he wanted. When he asked if they had beer, the answer was no, but they had wine. When he asked for white wine they said there was no white wine ( interested in your profit margin?) I pointed out there were cans of beer on the display counter. She pulled out some odd varieties of beer, saying nothing.

We ordered ham crêpes. The crêpes were soggy and severely undercooked. The pico de gallo salsa inside (what?) was not fresh. There was no spinach. The mushrooms were uncooked, The cheese was a tasteless cheddar and the Dijon sauce tasted terrible.

If you have no interest in interacting with people, take your taciturn attitude to some other field and stay out of restaurants .

I was in the mood for a hot beverage to warm me up with this chilly weather. Strolled into this hidden gem. Great little find. But, I was not greeted upon arrival or thanked for my business when leaving. That's why I knocked a star off. Otherwise, all in all seems like a nice place to do business with.

The Jewel Box Cafe is an amazing and cozy place to go to for breakfast or really any time. I've been going there for 4 years now. Everyone that works there are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's my go to place when I'm feeling down and need my favorite Sugar and spice crepe with EXTRA whip cream.
