Heading down this past Halloween I head into the city with a partially completed look. Driving down Clark over and over again, you never really pay attention to the stores you pass by at 9 or 10 pm. But there's always that one time where you think to yourself, "OH! There's a western store there! I should keep that in mind next time I need anything like that"
Honestly, who really thinks like that? Like, yeah, one day, I'm going to need to go to a Western Store? Well me apparently. And Halloween weekend. This is one of those times.
"There's got to be a store where I can pick up a cowboy hat."
And since I have an abnormally large head, none of those fly by night Halloween superstores wasn't going to cut it. It's too late to ebay me a hat, too far to drive to some random google location, so what the hooyah, drive down Clark until I find my aforementioned western store.
And just my luck, I happen to make the right turn onto the right street, at the right time. So what do I see out of the corner of my eye? A giant mural that says something to the affect "Jessica's Western Wear"
"Yo Nick - you think they have cowboy hats there?"
"I dunno, I'd seriously question the integrity of any western wear store that doesn't sell cowboy hats. If there's anywhere that would sell it, we might as well take a chance at a place with a 15 foot mural that says "Jessica's Western Wear"
So we park. It is open? Has my quest for the finished costumer been in vain? Will this be some sick ruse that the gods have played on me the eve of a fanstastic weekend?
No. This quest does not end in vain. Jessica's is open for business. As I walk in, what do me eyes behold? Aside from a whole array of Quinceañera dresses. Boots, shirts, and Cowboy hats. Nick was right. Integrity saved.
I find the perfect hat - it's black, size HUGE, and it's in my dollar range. Win. Win. And Win.
Halloween weekend too? Mega-Win.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian E.Washington, DC3629815Feb 21, 2009
Not the widest selection in the world, but I found some black cowboy boots there that I like for only $80. I got my foot stuck in about 8 pairs of boots. Pretty embarrassing.

This is a great store for western wear, as you could probably guess from the title! They've got everything you could need from suede jackets with fringe, to chaps to bandanas! Check it out, if nothing else, for Halloween!

Friendly staff. Lots of hip button down shirts for men. Kind of sleazy cheap stuff for women, but I find great clothes for my comedy band that I'm in. That should give you an idea of what's available in women's clothing. I shop here for my hubby though and he always loves the shirts. Boots are expensive but authentic and beautiful.
