We order from this food counter in the Jax building a lot if it's after 2pm and Wasabi stops delivering. The prices are great and the quality is mid-high. I do like Wasabi better, but I've eaten here a dozen times and always been satisfied. I wish they delivered. I highly recommend the snow crab salad.

Delicious fresh sushi. The lady there can make some dang good rolls! On top of all that, it's affordable. There are some items not on the menu but if you voice what you want to the chef, she will happily oblige. Great service as well. I'd highly recommend if you are in/around New Orleans!

This restaurant really surprised me. I ordered the Fried Oyster Roll, the Nola roll, Noodle Salad, Edamame and Shrimp Tempura. The prices were absolutely unbeatable! They offer 10 piece rolls for INCREDIBLY cheap, INCLUDING the special rolls, under $10! But their food is anything BUT cheap! The tempura was fresh and crispy, and I loved the little sauce it came with, much different than the sauce it usually comes with at other places. Their noodle salad is definitely different than other places too, it was kind of a noodle seaweed salad, but I really enjoyed it. Edamame was good. But the star of the show was their rolls! I PERSONALLY didn't end up caring for fried oysters in a roll, but despite that, I didn't NOT like that roll. Very unique and different. The Nola roll? ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Omg, all the flavors were there in every dish, you could tell they even prepare the rice the right way, as opposed to a lot of places where the rice is basically flavorless. Such generous portions on everything. I think I've found my new favorite sushi restaurant!

This is a tiny hole in the wall upstairs in the Jax brewery building, but it's a great little spot. The sushi is very good and you can't beat the prices. Service is not bad. And if you sit out in the food court area, you can watch ships glide past on the Mississippi River. There's a lot to be said for that view when it comes with air conditioning and tasty sushi. The eel rolls are a go-to for me, and I love the Alaska rolls. It's tiny but they know what they're doing.

I was very disappointed. I eat sushi a lot and this place was rated well so I tried it. This place was no better than King Soopers or Safeway sushi back home. I really felt like I was eating grocery store sushi at an extremely high price. Very sad. I didn't even finish my sushi because it wasn't worth it. The maker of the sushi was very friendly though.

Oh. My. Goodness.
Don't let the fact that this secret sushi spot is in a mall food court. We got the poke bowls and we can barely move now we are so full. Big portions, fresh fish, and Mew was a master at his craft. When ever we are back in town we will be popping in for super yummy casual dining with a good view of the river.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jaci G.LA, LA0125Jun 25, 2023
This is the best sushi I've ever had!!! 10/10 I ordered from door dash and I was still impressed.

We stopped by here by a whim and I am super glad we did. The creative fusion of New Orleans style food with sushi is amazing. I highly suggest the fried oyster roll. Friendly staff who are amazing. Easy to get to place in the mall in the French quarter. Please give this place love.

Is it strange to give a solid five to a place in a mall? Perhaps, yet Jazz Sushi earns every star. There wasn't a thing to dislike, except, perhaps, for its out-of-the-way location (top of the stairs, to the right, and through the food court) which makes it rather difficult to find if you're following a GPS.
They offer some nifty lunch combos, which are served all day apparently. I tried the roll special--choice of two full sushi rolls plus miso soup, and, with Yelp check in, a free and seriously delicious cold noodle salad with a pleasant sesame flavor.
I asked for spicy sauce and crunch on my rolls, and was obliged at no extra charge. My meal cost only $9, and there was enough to take home.
The folks on staff were friendly and accommodating, and chatted with me while I ate at the bar.
It seems they also deliver, which I'll be sure to take advantage of in the future.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information
