I went for check engine light and they did good service.
Issue: My car had issue with Fuel Cap which was leaking fuel fumes.
Total Cost: $197.58
**Check Engine Light: $146
**Parts Cost: 49.50
Total TimeTaken: 8 Hr
Pros: they are best in service and they are responsive

I have learned to do research on auto repair shops before I have any work done on my vehicles due to past faulty botched auto repair work. I took my vehicle in to Japanese Automotive based on their positive customer reviews. I am thankful to them for the excellant repair work completed on my vehicle which was done over 2 years ago on my Nissan Pathfinder. They replaced the fan assembly. So glad I chose them over the dealership. Will definitely recommend them to anyone in need of auto repairs.

I own two Japanese cars and have been using Japanese Auto for the majority of maintenance. They are always able to get me in within a few days. They're always very respectful of my time. So if something is going to take more than an hour they let me know so that I can decide whether to have the car dropped off or if I want to wait.
If you do decide to wait, they do have a small waiting room with a TV and a little area for kids to play and a little restroom, which is convenient.
They offer the ability for you to drop your car off at night and have a safe way for you to get the keys to them which is super helpful if you can't get there in the morning when they open.
If you're tired of paying the dealer high prices just to do routine maintenance or simple repairs, I recommend giving Japanese Auto a try.Helpful 23Thanks 0Love this 25Oh no 0Business owner information

Japanese Automotive replaced the starter in our daughter's 2008 Honda Accord. After the starter was replaced, the starter cranked fine but the engine would not start. It turned out to be an unusual circumstance of coincidence. At the time the starter failed, other issues developed. Japanese Automotive misdiagnosed the no-start problem. They said we had a bad connecting rod and needed a new engine. I knew enough to know that wasn't true and had the car towed out of there after paying the bill for the starter replacement. Later Honda Carland's mechanic properly diagnosed the problem. The VTC actuator was defective, the chain tensioner was bad, and the timing chain was stretched and skipped some teeth. It cost us far less to have all that replaced/repaired than it would have cost to replace the engine at Japanese Automotive. Our experience with Japanese Automotive was; they were very nice and polite with their words while doing nothing in our case to achieve customer satisfaction. They wanted to charge us for every little thing they did while Honda Carland worked with us on the cost of the repair. Each make and model of Japanese cars have their own peculiarities and complexities. In my view, find an excellent mechanic who works on your specific make and model regularly. In many makes and models certain symptoms can have recurring causes.
In addition to all this, the mechanic who did the diagnostic showed me the intake manifold gasket that Japanese Automotive charged us for. It had road grime on the edges and appeared to not have been replaced.
In a very polite email, I contacted Jody at Japanese Automotive Repair letting him know what was really wrong with the Honda, and here is his reply:
"That is great news. I am certainly glad you were able to get the car fixed without having to replace the engine. That was definitely an unusual set of circumstances."

We always appreciate any feedback. This situation was abnormal in that the car was towed in with a bad starter. We replaced the starter and the engine would then crank over but would not start. There was a substantial knocking from the engine when attempting to start. We called and advised the customer as to was happening. The knocking was internal in the engine. We advised the noise could be a rod knock which would require replacing the engine. The customer came to see for themselves and declined us doing any further diagnosois and towed the car elsewhere. We were happy the customer was able to get the car fixed without replacing the engine, however we feel we have done nothing wrong as we were denied the opportunity to diagnose the car further.

I just needed a quick oil change and they were able to get me in and out within no time at all. It was a very straightforward appointment with professional employees who obviously knew their stuff. Will come again for my next maintenance!

The reviews don't lie! I came here for a simple oil change and had an appointment. They got me in and out and explained to me everything, gave me a report on my car, and did not try to upsell me on anything. They used OEM parts and the staff is extremely friendly, not like other car repair places.
They have a bench outside to wait at or a nice "living room" feeling waiting area. I actually experienced both because it started raining when I was on the bench so I went inside. Car troubles are never fun especially when they come at bad times but this company made it as painless as possible. Tim and the staff are very understanding and take the time to
explain what is actually going on with the car and give very reasonable prices for the repairs that they do! They also really worked with me to get my car since i couldnt take off work! 10/10 recommend this shop! My van broke down and we got it towed to the shop. This was my first experience with Japanese Auto Professionals and they have certainly earned my business for the long haul. They gave me an honest assessment letting me know what really needed repair vs. what could wait. They didn't take advantage of the situation, but instead understood the value in building a long term relationship with a customer. They called twice the week after to make sure my car was running to my satisfaction. We'll be back!
