Had a good, but not great, lunch at Jana's on a Monday. The place isn't huge, but it was at least halfway full and didn't feel crowded. I was approached immediately by my server, who I discovered later was Jana. I went with the chicken parm and a side of meatballs, because when I am in an Italian joint for the first time I have to try the meatballs.

I waited around 10 minutes when my food came out. The serving of chicken parm is good sized, it's not enormous, but it certainly was enough for lunch. It's clearly hand breaded and was thicker than typical chicken parm. The dish it was served in was HOT, it clearly sat under the salamander for several minutes to melt the cheese. It was so hot I had to wait a few minutes to begin eating. The chicken was cooked a bit long, but the breading was flavorful and adhered well to the meat. I could have used more sauce, the entire dish was a little dry. If the chicken weren't a tad dry and it had more sauce, I probably would have given Jana's 4 stars. If I were to order this dish again, I'd get additional marinara on the side.

The meatballs were disappointing. They didn't have a lot going on in the flavor department, and they were a little dense in the center, like they were overworked.

I have heard from more than one Normanite that I need to get the Thai here, so perhaps this is my fault for getting the wrong cuisine at Jana's. But, they advertise Italian, so I would presume they are proud of what they're putting out. I'll definitely return for some Thai. I was pleased with the service.

I love Jana's Restaurant! Not only is the food delicious, but Jana and her staff are amazing! I love finding family owned restaurants in Norman to support! Her artichoke pizza is one of my favorite pizzas my family has ever had. We also love her pad thai, beef massaman and she has the most delicious mango and sticky rice. Highly recommended!!!!

I have been going to Jana's since 1997. Their Thai food is very good, and though I have only had their Italian twice (Thai is too good to pass up!), I'll have to agree the Italian is marginal.

I agree that the decor needs to be updated, but who is looking at the walls when a hot steaming plate of Pad Thai is sitting in front of you? You can order any dish from 0-100 in terms of heat, but 0-10 is sufficient for most. I usually get an 8 or 9 depending on my mood.

I recommend Chicken Stir Fry, Pad Thai or Pad Se Euw - all very good.

Our 'go to' for take out when we didn't want to cook. Jana was always welcoming and food was great. Ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu #3 for 20 years.

Jana - you will be missed by our family. Thank you to you and your family.

Love Jana's. We've been coming here for years. They've recently been closed for a few weeks and I've tried to find comparable food and have been disappointed each time. I need them to open back up soon!

Jana's Italian/Thai restaurant has been around for a long time and I was hoping that the small place would be a lot better and more charming than it was but... no.

It has so much potential to be cute but instead the decor seems like an afterthought- random Thai and Italian items hung haphazardly on the walls which are covered in a very 80s pastel wallpaper. Service seemed well-intentioned but the waitress either wasn't paying attention at all or didn't speak English well since my grandfather's shrimp coconut soup came out with chicken and my grandmother's cheesecake came out as cheese sticks. Two out of three orders coming out wrong isn't a good sign.

My grandfather's soup looked very greasy- way oilier than I've ever seen a coconut soup before. My grandmother's cheese sticks looked like standard restaurant cheese sticks. My mango sticky rice was acceptable- the mango was perfectly ripe and the rice had a nice consistency.

Parking is at least easy to find since it's located in a strip mall.

It's probably about as good as Olive Garden and you're supporting a small, (I believe) locally owned business by dining there but I doubt I'll be back for a while.

Kiddo and I really enjoyed this place. We got some fried dumplings as an app, but both chose Italian fare for our entrees. Everything was tasty. I need to go back to try other things.

Jana's serve Italian and Thai dishes.
Would pick 5 star but the prices has gone up and the meal has shrunk. It is is still good but not worth the price you pay for.

Pad Thai is very good it is not authentic Pad Thai.

Would return if I had a gift card and/or really craving for Jana's.

My favorite restaurant. Located in a strip mall and small with about 8 tables or so, inside is not fancy but it's clean food is great. The owner Jana is usually the waitress. I have eaten at many Thai restaurants all over the US and this has always been the best. Pad Thais is amazing, and not too greasy. Fried Tofu and Pad-Krapow is great too. As for the Italian food, I have not tried it but I hear the pizza is good.
