Should I buy a switch as a PC gamer?
Wish I saw this post when I needed it.
(I play League of Legends, death by daylight, they are Billions, WWZ, and many more).
Ash and Ed convinced me to finally buy a Nintendo Switch from GameStop. Until seeing the graphics with your own eyes, know that it's better and way more fun than you think! Plays super smooth, some games don't teach you everything though and you may have to look things up but nothing too big.
Purchased for Nintendo specific games, horror games I won't double buy on PC, to play when waiting in lobbies, and cozy gaming (didn't know that existed until now). Ash was correct because I did get addicted to Animal Crossing...
The Nintendo Eshop on your switch has a ton of GREAT DEALS (even 75% off) or buy pre owned physical copies if you're lucky enough to find them in stores.
You WILL need to purchase a Micro SD card to get more storage, 100% recommended.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Liza C.Fort Lauderdale, FL41177232Aug 26, 2018
Have been shopping at this store FOREVER!!!! Can't tell you how much money I've given GameStop... every time I come into this location - it's always the same crap!!!!!
Chris needs to go!!! He's not helpful, discouraged customers during trade-ins which I witnessed... rude and short. There are so many ways to le customers know their trade in will be of more value if they sold on their own... I'm so disgusted with this place.
EVERY SINGLE TIME I come in here there's always an issue redeeming my coupons... and NO ONE IS EVER WILLING TO HELP...every single time.
I just go out of my way and go to other locations when I live down the street.
Chris - don't bother getting additional training...you won't need it... hopefully you'll be fired soon for horrible customer service.
Jason - who is the only knowledgeable and helpful person in this store today is the only reason I spent money today!!!
Btw - Jason - start looking for a new job. GS won't be around for long.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rufus D.Hollywood, FL03Feb 14, 2018
I have been going to this GameStop for quite awhile and haven't had any problems. The guys that work there have always been very helpful. That was until today when I encountered employee Deandre Pearson. My son was attempting to buy a 60.00 dollar game when the phone rang. I watched Deandre Pearson ignore the sale to discuss a 6.00 T-shirt with the person on the phone. He told the caller that he was helping a customer, but still keep up with the phone call, ignoring the sale in front of him. When I asked if he was going to help us he became very agitated and rude. He told me he was busy with the phone and we would have to wait. He then refused to sell my son the Game and threaten to call the police.
HE SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!! Worst GameStop employee ever!!!!
I had to leave the GameStop and headed to another one a few miles away, and guess what? The guy working there got a phone call during my son's purchase and he to the caller they would have to wait until he was finished with the sale..... I am pretty sure that is how the GameStop employees are trained to handle phone calls in the middle of a face to face sale.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jairo A.Hollywood, FL20172Mar 9, 2018
No return policy in accessories, so if I get a cable that doesn't work I'm stuck with it. Very bad policy. Don't shop here, I support local businesses but this is the reason why it's better to shop online.

Every weekend I would go to this game stop to get a new game to maybe a gift card, it's only like a 10 minute walk from where I live and now there closing and it's really sad. Everyone that works basically knows us and it's going to be hard to drive 20 minutes just to get a gift card.

Literally, the absolute worst experience at a GameStop ever. The two guys that were working there today were no help at all. I stood at the counter waiting for them to help me. I had to engage them to be helped. Then they were completely useless with anything we needed. I will never ever go to this GameStop again. I would rather walk backwards through a cornfield.

Every time I go in with my son, the staff is knowledgeable and respectful. They are very patient and answer all questions asked, no matter how ridiculous.

We're a gaming family and have been to several Gamestops in the area. This location had the friendliest and most knowledgeable customer service. Michael, the Assistant Manager on duty was very helpful in our game selection tonight. He was very informative and knew a lot about each game we picked up - new and old!

If you are related to a teenage boy, you will eventually come in contact with a GameStop.
Selling back games is a bit ridiculous... If you are lucky, maybe you'll get $0.20 for that copy of Cooking Mama you never really used. The staff at this location is pretty knowledgeable and friendly.
Overall nice to have one close-by in the neighborhood - it's in the same shopping center as Target, so if they are sold out of a game there, try here, and vice versa. If it's a new game it will pretty much be the same price everywhere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mary Jane C.Fort Lauderdale, FL120224Sep 13, 2014
The website says they open at 10:00am. I drove all the way over there to purchase a few things and the sign says they open at 11. There was an employee in the store who was very rude when I tried to express my frustration about the wrong information. I just went to Target across the street and made my purchases there. I will never shop there again. I will just get my games and gaming systems from Target or Walmart from now on. That is not a good way to handle business especially when you have competition right across the street.
