For those who don't know, J. Crew has been around foreverrr! If you're looking for the latest trends...go elsewhere. However, if your taste in fashion is classy and classic, look no further than this brick and mortar.

Hands down, this is my all-time favorite location. Merchandise presentation is on point. Clothing racks and display cases are immaculate. Strangely enough, I always pick up a few fashion tips from the well dressed mannequins. Bottom line: This store knows how to show off the goods!

Expect to find high-quality clothing. The majority of the inventory centers on casual wear. Yeah, the garb here is pricey, but worth it. FYI: Back in 2016, I purchased a winter coat from J. Crew...four seasons later, it's still in pristine condition.

Special mention: Customer service is top-notch. Honestly, I've never had a bad shopping experience. It's nice to hear "Hello" and "Are you finding everything ok?" from the accommodating sales associates.

Pro tip: It's not all about the ladies. J. Crew has a fab collection of clothing for men and kids, too!

Nice basic items but nothing that stands out for me. This looks more like work attire or simply basic clothing. Overall not very impressed

I am a loyal J.Crew customer. I love the cool, clean, preppy look. So naturally I would expect the whole customer service experience to be on par with that. This summer I stopped by to purchase some clothes I needed for work since our office was slowly opening up again. Some young sales rep chick helped me get my size and rang me up at the cashier's desk. There were a couple clothing items that were not in stock at the store, so she said they would need to special order it so it can be shipped to me. At least that is how I understood it. I checked my bank account and it clearly shows that there were charges made for the two clothing items that I was waiting on. A couple months pass by, and I am still waiting for my order to be delivered to my home. I checked my USPS account, FedEx account. No evidence of anything being shipped by J.Crew. So I call up J.Crew customer service online and they confirmed to me there is a charge was made on my card for two items. I explain to them I never received it so asked why was I charged. The J.Crew customer service rep explained that because the purchase was made on my debit card that I have to personally go into the store to resolve the issue. By this time, I am growing very impatient. Why was I charged for something I never received? I call up the store and ask to speak first with the woman that actually rang up my order at the initial encounter. I explain my issue. She was not at the least helpful at all. She thought maybe my purchased items were sitting in the back of the store waiting to be picked up, which was not the case. I then asked to speak with the manager, I think his name was Brandon. He couldn't figure out what happened either. He said they can do a refund on my card and I can re-purchase the items. As I am talking to the manager on the phone, I realize that the person I spoke to on the phone is the same woman that rang up my purchase! I then ask the manager, was that her that I just spoke to? He then acted like he didn't hear my question, so I asked again, and he ignored my question again and started rambling on. I then said firmly, "excuse me! I just asked you a question and I'd like for you to answer it. Was that her?" He then made some lame excuse about her being new and still in training. He admitted that she did not process my transaction correctly and therefore the information was not sent to J.Crew for the items to be shipped to me. I don't recall that the manager even apologized to me for the error. I finally did end up going to the store and got a refund on my card. This manager had no decency to even apologize to me in person and came across as being more supportive of the sales chick. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be going by there anytime soon, if ever again.

This location was clean and very well maintained. My review is in regard to the poor customer service I received. Upon entering the store I was not greeted by any of the associates. I initially thought it was because the sales associates did not see me. However, when other customers who did not look like me entered the store, the sales associates when out of their way to greet those incoming customers. I continued to move about the store. I was in there for 20-30 mins and was never greeted or acknowledged. I left and decided to purchase my selections online.

My brother was visiting me from out of town so we decided to grab lunch and do a little shopping. He had the most amazing fashion sense and I knew he would help me find the best looks. We went into JCrew and was helped out by a stylist named, Annie. She checked out my measurements and was able to find the perfect pants in the color that I was looking for. I will definitely go back but make sure I ask for her help. She was thoughtful and helpful.

Like many dc'ers, a lot of my wardrobe is from J.Crew, especially my work wardrobe. The customer service or lack of that I have received recently from this store is strongly encouraging me to look for other alternatives.

Example one: I went to do a return. I greet the cashier and go to hand him the item and receipt. He stares me down until I put it on repeat counter. In the end, he slides the receipt on the counter rather than handing it to me. Um rude!

Example two: I was there prior to Christmas and the security guard blatantly followed me around the store. Seriously? The racial profiling is strong there.

I did comment to jcrew on Twitter and they reached out on email saying they were unhappy to hear about the security guard and would get in touch with the store. The store never responded. So I will say the company itself is responsive but not this store. Maybe stick to online.

      Dear Salesmen,

Thanks for attempting to get my boyfriend into a fitting room. The chances of this happening are about the equivalent of Satan stopping by for a sweater, but I appreciate your effort. Thanks for taking the time to discreetly notify me concerning sizing issues on some of the shirts. Even though he says he will try everything on as soon as we get home, the reality is that they may disappear into the closet only to re-appear long after the return date has passed. Thanks for also trying to point out some new colors. You guys rock!

P.S.- The women's area was also nice, although neon yellows and corals really aren't my thing. I'll try back again later in the season.

This is my favorite location of J.Crew. Well-stocked and organized, I almost always find what I'm looking for here...including flipflops for $6 (on my most recent stop).

Also - if you show your student ID you get a discount...10 or 15%...I can't remember which.

This location of J.Crew is a bit different from the other ones in the DC area as it is split in two floors: mens downstairs and womens upstairs. The layout is nice but not my first choice when it comes to J.Crew locations. However, something really great is that it's right next to the Friendship Heights metro station so if I miss a bus then I can use the 20 minutes (usually becomes an hour as I miss another bus, oops!) to do a quick (well, not so quick) run around the store.

This place is what I would want my perfect closet to be like, except with friendly people to help me pick out what to wear.

My husband needed to return a shirt he got as a present that was a little too big on him, but it was back in Christmas and this was mid February. Just the tag, no gift receipt so we couldn't do a store credit. The kind young man then tried his best to find a store nearby that still carried the shirt in the size we needed. Call after call, no luck.

So we ended up keeping the shirt, and buying another one, since there was additional 30% off sale items special going on.

This location is great because it is also very well stocked, two stories of amazing things, close to metro and in the middle of Friendship Heights!
