they came out for an estimate on Tuesday, Job was finished by Friday. prompt service and cleaned everything up. definitely will be calling back in the fall for more trees.

After hurricane Ida took half of a tree that fell we contacted Dylan and he got right on it. He was here within the week with a crane and his crew. Everyone was polite, professional, and did an excellent job. I'd you want the job done right, I highly recommend these guys.

I had used Scarpone tree service for several years having them cut about 20 trees total on my two properties. I was satisfied with the jobs done so I hired him again.
For this last job they were to cut a clump of four trees together behind the house which were very tall oak trees. He came on May 2nd 2022 to give me an estimate for the job and I hired him.

I was told that they will get to them within 2 weeks. On June 6th he sent a text saying that they will be there tomorrow to do the job June 7th. I reminded him that 36 days ago he said he would do it within two weeks.

I said, Do You need to come today to mark the trees like you usually do. He said, no, explain to me which four they are, which I did. It was a clump of four tall trees together close to the house. His workers that day cut three of those four trees together in a square and then cut a maple tree that was about 30 ft to the right of those trees on the neighboring property which is also owned by me. When I got home from work and they were cleaning up I told his workers that they cut the wrong tree. I contacted Dylan Scarpone to tell him and he said I'm on the way there to discuss it with you. He came to the house and I told him I'll pay you after you cut the correct tree. An argument ensued. He apparently thought I was trying to stiff him on payment and I reminded him that I always paid him promptly for the last several years for all the jobs that he's done for me cutting about 20 trees in total. The argument went on until I got fed up and I eventually decided to pay him and then never hire him again. Later he called me to apologize and promised to cut the correct tree possibly tomorrow June 8th. On June 8th he sent a text saying it doesn't look good to be able to get there today. I said okay just let me know when you'll get to it. He said he will absolutely do that. June 8th 2022 was the last time he ever contacted me. Today is March 25th 2023. I have been waiting ever since for him to cut the correct tree.

Now 10 days ago March 15th 2023 I sent him a text message saying I'm still waiting patiently for you to cut the correct tree and to tell him that the consequence of cutting the wrong tree caused my garden to get burned in the summer heat for lack of shade from the maple tree. I received no reply so I sent him another text today March 25th 2023 telling him that this is why I was hesitant to pay him because I see now that he's ignoring me.

So beware that this company will not take responsibility when they make mistakes and will ignore you when you try to get them to correct their mistake. That is not an honorable way to do business.

I have text messages and photos to prove all of this. I thought about taking this case to court but then I thought it will probably make him more accountable if I just give his business reviews online and just hire another company to cut the fourth tree. Seeing this review will be his last chance to come clean. Once I hire someone else to cut that fourth tree he will have lost any chance to win me back as a customer and protect the reputation of his business. It has been 9 months Dylan. It's your move now so what will you do?
