My dress fitting with Sabrina at Ivory Atelier for a bridal fitting, was an absolutely stellar experience. The boutique itself is a GORGEOUS - elegant and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for finding a dream wedding dress.
Sabrina's passion and expertise is unparalleled! She guided me through the fitting process, taking great care to understand my style and what would look best on my frame.. Sabrina has an exceptional talent for making a bride look and feel like a queen. She fitted and styled each dress, ensuring that it perfectly accentuated my figure and showcased my personal style.
The selection of dresses at Ivory Atelier is incredible! Every gown I tried on was even more stunning than the last. Although I ultimately decided to go with another vendor due to budget constraints, I cannot stress enough - Ivory Atelier is a bridal boutique not to be missed! Thank you, Sabrina, for a stellar bridal fitting experience!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cara M.Bryan, TX01Feb 5, 2024
I had Shelby help me with finding my dream dress! She was so helpful and full of energy, her excitement and kindness was contagious and I couldn't have asked for a more helpful consultant. I can't wait for my dress to come in so I can come back! Thank you Shelby!!

I was wary about visiting Ivory Atelier because of the alarming experiences shared in the critical reviews but made an appointment anyway. At the time, they said they would charge $25 if I did not show up to my appointment. No issue there. Laura answered some of my questions via phone and Shelby helped me on the day of the appointment. I arrived early, came alone and enjoyed their process of giving you clips to place on desired gowns. Shelby then brought the dresses and the fun of trying them on started. I found one by Ines Di Santo that was very close to the vision I had. There was some customization available, so I requested a quote to take with me and think over. This is where things got weird. Laura, who I believe is a manager of some sort, was standing over Shelby as she was putting together the quote. Shelby then started to try and do a hard sell.
I would never stand over an employee of mine like that, and it felt strange that Laura felt the need to do that while Shelby was finalizing our visit. I continued to text with Shelby afterward to request information about customization. She provided inconsistent information and then proceeded to charge me the $25 no show appointment fee when I did not place the order for the dress. I had to call the shop to have it refunded, and when I did, they acted as if they were doing me a favor. They were correcting their own mistake.
I am very glad I did not purchase anything at Ivory because of the dearth of professionalism they displayed. I feel for the brides who were deceived by them and am glad I was not one of them.
I ultimately found my perfect bespoke dress elsewhere, and more than a year later, I still receive compliments about it after my spectacular wedding day! I hope that great joy for every bride-to-be reading this, and in my experience, Ivory is not the place to find high quality service from start to finish. Better to look elsewhere. You deserve the best for your sacred wedding day!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katie C.Greater South River City, Austin, TX01826Nov 8, 2022
I had a terrible experience here and would just like to warn others. I tried on several dresses and had a hard time finding anything that my natural 28F's looked good in. I finally found (what I thought) was the perfect gown at Ivory.
I was encouraged to order the day that I went in, as I was short on time to get the dress in. I was hesitant but convinced/pressured by the sales assistant that it needed to be done. I was recommended to go up several unnecessary sizes due to my breasts and was recommended to their tailor of choosing. I did not want to do this and even had to sign a waiver saying so. But I still followed their recommendation as I believed they knew what they were doing.
When the actual gown came in that I ordered, it was nothing like the sample that I tried on in the store. It was a different color, a different fit, a different neckline- that my chest no longer looked good in. I tried to call before my wedding and see if I could buy the sample instead because I was so unhappy with how it all turned out. I never got a hold of anyone and had to wear this dress to my wedding. It pooched at the butt, had a giant cummerbund, and was see-through- none of which was the case in the store. I would not recommend going here as this all seemed very misleading and I would have never bought the 10k gown to begin with if I had known. Buyers beware!!! Pictures included on the sample dress compared to the dress that I received- I even told them in store when I picked it up that it was totally different and that I did not like it. They did nothing to help.
I could not wind up using a lot of my wedding photos because I didn't like how I looked in my dress. Some camouflaged the issues with careful posing, flowers, and lighting and I am grateful to have those. I have included the ones here that I will not be including on any photos or albums anywhere else because I am so embarrassed.
I hope to save the rest of you any future issues like this. Good luck hunting and I hope you find your dream gown!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Sheila J.Memorial, TX, TX011May 3, 2023
I would find it hard to trust them. We had an appointment during a trunk show for a designer my daughter really loved. See informed our salesperson of our budget, date of the wedding etc. Nine and a half months later we ended up a few thousand dollars over budget because the dress which was ordered way too large and needed so many modifications and came in so late the alterations person ( whom we were referred to by the store) charged a "rush" fee. Never any apology from the store much less the owners.
In the end , the wedding was magical, the bride radiant and happiness the predominant emotion.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kayla B.San Marcos, TX21312Aug 28, 2021Updated review
I'm posting a follow up review after the absolute heartbreak I've experienced from receiving my ceremony dress a few days ago.
Prior to purchasing my ceremony dress, I had spoken with Laura about all the customizations I wanted in order to make my dream dress a reality. She informed me that this was definitely possible as Galia does customizations like these for brides all the time. It seems the elements that were customized correctly were the things that are common for most wedding gowns based on my size and height - hem length, break line, back height. The two design element customizations that turned out exactly as I envisioned were the back shoulder sleeves and the hem lace bordering the entire dress, which I am incredibly happy with.
Unfortunately, the sharp back V on the lower part of the dress I requested as a customization did not change from the original design except removing a small piece of fabric. I mentioned during the first try on with the dress that in my opinion, the back was not very flattering with the scooped bottom; not just on me, but in most photos I had found online of the dress. I researched extensively for photos of others who had worn the dress, and even found a girl who had completely changed and customized this particular Galia dress, too. I was recommended to go to Laura's Alterations where Karime showed me in person what an actual sharp V would look like and said if I still wanted that, the cost would be $1,600 and would require total reconstruction of the back and waistline. Since the sharp V wasn't done correctly, Karime is working to add material to the back of the dress to give me a more flattering look. Not only is this an additional cost, but is ultimately a compromise to what I had envisioned.
Laura offered that the dress could be sent back to Galia, and they could correct it. Unfortunately, I don't believe this is a realistic solution, as I would not have time to complete the other "normal" alterations to fit the dress to my body measurements. My wedding is only 55 days away.
Instead, I have been told $600 could be refunded since the sharp V down the back of the dress was not customized correctly. Even with that refunded portion from Ivory Bridal and if I were to put that expense into new alterations, it would still cost me an additional $1,000 to get the sharp V shape I had originally wanted at Laura's Alterations.
In regards to the customizations I desired for the train, I expressed wanting the detailing on the front and sides of the dress down the back of the dress, too. I believe my expectations should have been better managed by your team rather than selling me $2,000 of material that wouldn't fulfill my desired changes. I was very specific regarding wanting the detailing replicated to have the same design on my train as on the front and sides of the dress. I was not told of the "much more expensive cost" for the chantilly lace and/or the 3D appliqués, nor was I notified I would be receiving exclusively the hem lace instead of all required materials. Otherwise, I would not have ordered 20 units of only one material. I have gone through and reread all of mine and Laura's text and there is no specification regarding the type of lace I would be receiving. In order for the seamstress at Laura's Alterations to rework the hem lace and attempt to create the design I envisioned for the train, the quote is
an additional $2,000. Again, this is another compromise since the design will never match the other detailing on the dress.
These $3,600 in customizations do not include the necessary $2,300 I'm spending on typical alterations for the dress. I was told by Laura that alterations cost usually around $1,200. For the perfect fit, I could be at peace with going over the budget I planned for, even if that's a frustration of it's own.
In retrospect, I wish Laura would have been more transparent and said, "Unfortunately Kayla, I don't think that change or customization is realistic or possible for the train....The only thing that can be sent is the hem lace but it will not match the chantilly panels or design on the front and sides of the dress."
There really are no words to describe the feeling that I now have knowing that my dream dress is not going to happen the way I have been imagining it for the past 8 months while it was in production. I'm confident I was as clear as possible in voicing all of my requests, customizations, questions and concerns for the Emma dress. I spent a significant amount of time looking for examples, so I could provide photos to ensure my wants could be met. The Emma dress was a significant investment, and I was willing to continue looking for a different dress elsewhere if needed for me to wear my dream gown at my dream wedding. However, I trusted that was not necessary as I was reassured Galia dresses could be customized for their brides.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 7, 2021Previous reviewIt was such a lovely experience working with Laura from Ivory Bridal. During these challenging COVID-19 times and as one future bride can imagine, it has been a very difficult time to find the perfect wedding dress due to all the current restrictions in place. I was on the hunt for a Galia dress and after receiving a call from Laura, I set an appointment to come try on some dresses from one of Galia's trunk shows they were having at the store. Even though only 2 guests were allowed with me and masks were required (only removed my mask for a quick photo), we all made the best of it! I am so thankful to Laura for seeing me so many times - twice with my best friends, another with my mother and future mother-in-law, and again to get my measurements taken one on one. She was patient, sweet, funny, and very understanding. She helped me get some dresses (that they did not have in the trunk show) shipped in from California and has been so patient and helpful through the entire process. She's gone back and forth with the designer to help me get the dress of my DREAMS (many customizations later...) and I am beyond grateful for her exceptional customer service and excitement through it all. Thank you Laura and your team at Ivory Bridal for making this experience so flawless!

This shop has the most amazing quality dresses! I went to 3 shops total and none compared to Ivory's selection. Said "yes" to my dress here and the best experience with Shelby!

Ivory Bridal created such a magical dress shopping experience. These ladies definitely know what they are doing. Your very own team of wedding gown curators will help you find your DREAM dress. Laura was so sweet and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. We were greeted with champagne and given a tour around the store. She also helped me stick to my budget. The dressing rooms are large and give a perfect amount of privacy from other parties.
Note: The store is located on the 2nd floor across from the escalators. You can park in the parking garage on the 2nd floor for easy access.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashley A.College Station, TX01May 18, 2023
I had the absolute best experience at Ivory Bridal and felt so confident throughout the entire process! I fell in love with the back and silhouette of an Ines di Santo gown, but wanted to completely change the neckline, so they helped me work with the designer to create the most beautiful, custom gown for my big day! They were extremely transparent and supportive throughout the process, making sure that my needs and wishes were heard and executed upon. I also purchased a cathedral veil from the boutique and it was just the cherry on top of the entire look! I am infinitely grateful for the Ivory Bridal team and would highly recommend them to all of my friends and family. It's fun to try on dresses at different places to help you figure out what you like, but when you are ready to make the BIG decision, go to Ivory Bridal and you will not be disappointed!! Thank you Ivory Bridal and team from the bottom of my heart!
