Italian Food Center

I've been coming here since I was a kid !! This is hands down the best Italian Food Center in all of New York !! check out the picture of that Italian Special hero !! It's always Amazing !! Wether you want anything from a hero to just picking up some cold cuts , chicken cutlets or need some catering , this place is hands down the best place to get it at !!!

I stopped by here this past Monday for lunch with my wife and twins. The Italian Food Center had been recommended to us by my wife's Uncle. The shop sells a bunch of Italian goods with everything from olive oil to cookies and frozen pastas as well. Then the reason we were there was the prepared food which was spread out across a number of different display cases. After looking at it all my wife and I decided to split an eggplant stack, eggplant Stromboli, 2 prosciutto balls and a potato croquette. It clearly wasn't the healthiest of meals since almost everything had a fried component but oh well. Once we got home we popped everything into the oven to warm it up and a little bit later were ready to eat it. I first ate some of the eggplant stacks which were fried/cooked nicely and had a nice and flavorful tomato sauce on top. Up next was the prosciutto ball which we had cooked too long and had the filling oozing out. I don't know what I expected it to taste like but I thought it was pretty good. The outside was obviously fried golden brown and then the inside consisted of cheese with little bits of prosciutto which gave nice pops of flavor. Then the potato croquette had the same nice golden brown on the outside with a creamy potato filling with ham in it as well. It was tasty and filling and with everything else we had, we ended up throwing a little bit of it out. Last but certainly not least was the Stromboli which was delicious. The inside was absolutely stuffed with fried eggplant. So every bite you got a ton of it and a ton of cheese which I throughly enjoyed.

The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. We enjoyed the food that we had here and I would certainly be interested in eating some of their frozen pasta.

Excellent Italian food and service! I have eaten their sandwiches on a couple of occasions but not at the time I've ordered it since it was flown down to me. This time I added the toppings and wow! This is quality! I had the imported Italian and it was nothing short of amazing. The weather was nice enough to drive to Central Park and savor it. The cold cuts are superior to what you get at your local deli! They also have pre made soups and entrees you can order to enjoy for dinner. I would definitely recommend their Italian cookies, too!

If you are ever in the Haverstraw, NY area, you have to stop by the Italian Food Center Their selection of foods + is top notch. I've gotten the Italian combo hero 4-5 times & it is delicious !! You won't be disappointed Star

Rockland counties best Italian deli by far. The sandwiches are the best. The homemade salads the best. The chicken cutlets the best. And as always, the service is impeccable.

I attended a work function with food catered from Italian Food Center. One of my colleagues was in charge of choosing the food, and since I had never even heard of this place before I was looking forward to trying someplace new.

My colleague chose items that appealed to the masses, so that made it easy for me to compare to other eateries I've tried. The spread included chicken francese, penne vodka, eggplant parm, garden salad, and some rolls. The food was good - the chicken was a little too thick for francese style, but it was pretty tender and had nice flavor. For being catered, the pasta was good - slightly saucy and overdone but I can't knock them for that. The flavor was good which is all I can ask for. I bypassed the eggplant, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rolls were nice and soft - perfect for sopping up all that sauce mmmm. The salad was a...salad, containing a number of dressings to choose from which I appreciated.

Overall, IFC put out a solid offering. If I lived in Rockland I would definitely check this place out more often. Judging by the rarity of good food options the further north you go, I presume this is a bright spot in the county.

Came here today after the gym and you can't go wrong coming here. Anthony, Shaun and Andre are down to earth guys, they are super friendly and kind. I wish I had a deli like this back in Westchester, and the price is very reasonable. I ended up ordering two breakfast sandwiches egg whites sliced turkey and cheese on a spinach wrap, and I ordered two lbs of chicken cutlets for the week. The food here is awesome it's like I went to heaven and never left. Also shout out to Anthony for letting me try panchetta from Italy ( awesome) and freshly made baked ham( delicious). One thing I noticed about these guys is that, every customer that comes in they know everyone by first name basis, you really can't beat that. Overall great experience will definitely come back here again, to the guys who work here, awesome job fellas and will see each other again cheers.

We are obsessed with The Italian Food Center and we come here for ingredients anytime that we are craving Italian and have time to cook! When not doing take out we love to make pan lasanga and we only want to use the highest quality ingredients each and every time. We are teaching our kids the love of cooking and the love of quality ingredients and this store helps us achieve our gourmet cooking goals! I can't wait to try their prepared foods as well!

I don't come here often but when I do, their service and the quality of their products both stand out. It's THE go-to Italian deli in North Rockland area (possibly all of Rockland!). Their Italian heroes are super fresh and fully-loaded. They make party and individual sized sandwiches. There's good variety so if you prefer turkey, eggplant, etc., they've got you covered. Come with mayo, mustard, coleslaw, and macaroni salad (I don't care for the latter, but that's personal preference). There's also an assortment of fresh sides sold by the pound, try the rice balls or the tortellini salad, my faves. They have fresh mozzarella (yum!) and a full selection of deli meats/cheeses. The place is always clean and with a constant (but manageable) flow of people, so you the products are fresh.

Good variety of Italian products, delicious prepared foods, friendly staff & owner. A local gem.
