      Definitely worth the experience!

I have never tried any VR simulation so this was an awesome experience. I tried the plank game as it's recommended for noobs to get a feel for it. I'm afraid of heights and this was a heart racing experience!

When I fell from the plank I could swear I was falling in real life for a about a second until I realized it's just a game.

The staff was great to work with and friendly. They showed us the basics and gave us a short instruction speech but it made the experience that much better because we literally had no idea what to expect.

We showed up for the last session and they allowed us to wrap up a few minutes after the experience was technically over.

I want to return now with a group and do the group experiences. They have multiple games to choose from. There's street metered parking or you can use their garage for $8. We ended up finding street parking and only paid $10 for the game which lasted about 15 minutes.

Probably the most fun you can have in Los Angeles for $10.00.

My friend came all the way across the country to go to IMAX VR (and do other things in Southern California).

She played "Knockout League" and knocked out a fighter named "Tri-Tip" (a cut of beef) which was very appropriate since she is Vegan.

Everyone there was having a very good time. We went around 1:00pm on a weekday, which is a good time to go. It wasn't very crowded and we didn't have to wait long after my friend filled out the (digital) paperwork.

Not sure what the age range is. There were little kids having a good time and there were old folks having a good time.

My friend filling out the (digital) paperwork before playing "Knockout League".

This was an awesome experience. My cousin has been telling me about VR for awhile now. I can't believe we had as much fun as we did. We did the "Deadwood mansion" game. The whole vibe was crazy! I wear glass so unfortunately I couldn't wear them with the headset on however the head gear didn't mess with my vision too much. We had a ton of fun and it wasn't expensive.

The games are short but the interaction and the game play are really good.

      Top picks:
      - Eagle Flight for multiple players.
      - Paranormal Activity for the inmerse experience.
      - Star Wars for the kids.

Everything is very well done and the staff is really helpful.

      Things to better:
      - sign up process is slow, the web app sucks.
      - they need to explain the game dynamic to newbies.

      I recommend it for groups.

I visited this weekend with a group around 7:45pm and were able to try out a bunch of experiences. Between the 4 of us we did Raw Data, Eagles Flight and John Wick. We wanted to try Start Wars but it was sold out. We should have booked online but the other games were very immersive and fun. Raw Data is like a 360 degree Time Crisis for those that that remember the arcade game. You get to dual wield guns and kill robots, reload and shoot some more. Extremely fun.
The staff were really helpful and helping us purchase tickets and get set up with the VR equipment.
I have no idea why some reviewers had trouble filling out their name and birthday on a simple form. It takes 1 minute to complete, hell a 2 year old could do it.
They VR center still in the soft launch phase and working out some links, but the technology is awesome and a lot of fun.

      A rotation of VR experiences.

The future is fun. But the website and ordering/timing/process is HORRIBLE.

I lost money trying to book multiple games for me and my friends. Once you start the process is hard to figure out. The people are really great at guiding you through the process.

Once they can figure out what they're doing this will be GREAT.

Came here today for the first time with my family. We grabbed a bunch of open time slots and ended up paying $80 for 7 tickets. We played Star Wars, the Ruckus one, and Raw Data.

The management was a little lacking, as we found ourselves sitting/standing around with no one to helps us several times. You are set up in little pods, sort of like cubicles, so we can see and hear other people around you. This was cool at times and also a bummer when someone playing the Eagle one was legitimately SCREAMING and SHOUTING for 20 minutes. You could hear him even with your headphones on.

The Ruckus one was cute, would be better for children and families. Star Wars was awesome, but pretty short. Raw Data was cool as we got to play against each other.

Overall it was pretty expensive for just an okay time. Could benefit from better organization as well.

What an amazing experience. I started with Star Wars. It was really calm and I wish it was longer BUT walking on Tatooine was something I can't explain. Next was the Eagle Adventure. We played 3 players against the computer. This one made me a little more dizzy but once we played against the other pod, that's when things got really fun! I had to sit down to take a second to recalibrate myself once we played our second round! The last one I was able to squeeze in one more called #RawData. I HIGHLY recommend this game. You can choose from a couple weapons (I chose the double pistols). It's like they just dropped you in the middle of a Halo game. Using my Tomb Raider crouching stance I was able to walk out with a score of a little over 12,000. Can't wait to see you on Wednesday ! Thanks IMAX.

Seriously these guys need to stop suggesting garbage games. It completely ruins the experience. They keep recommending the game where it's 10$ for 8 mins because it's noob friendly, but we ended up declining and getting another recommended game which was an eagle wings game. It was boring as shit and hey didn't mention that the teams would be 1v2 with three people and it was no fun since teams were stacked. I felt like they did not give a flying fuck about our experience. As an avid gamer pointing people in this direction when it's their first time at IMAXVR is like getting a giant nutsack in your face.

The biggest problem I have with this place is that this eagle wings game was advertised as 20 mins, we did literally a 2 minute tutorial and then played two rounds of 5 min games. It was NOWHERE near 20 mins. Also it used Xbox controllers instead of the regular VR controllers. The instructions verbally lasted 5 mins max. I want my goddamn 5 extra minutes.

When we exited we saw a guy using VR controllers and doing all this Kung fu and shit with the controllers and screaming and killing robots in a different game. I don't know why these dipshits recommended grown ass men to play the Life of evolution or whatever and some dumbass eagle game where you pick up dead rabbits off the ground.

If the employees working would just recommend the better games and just completely avoid the shitcake titles we would have enjoyed it more and have returned. No like seriously, straight up tell people not to play the retarded games or delete them from the game list.

This place is great as an introduction to VR experiences, but there are a few issues that I encountered when visiting.

My first time going, I purchased a ticket for Beat Saber and then waited to be brought to the game. The attendant for the game told me that I couldn't wear glasses when using the headset. That would have been nice to know before hand. So I played around 6 songs with blurred vision.

After visiting, I looked on the website, which specifically mentions that glasses are fine to wear. So I came back a second time, and saw that on their screen, it also said it was fine to wear glasses. So I purchased another ticket and tried again. This time, I was able to wear my glasses and see everything clearly. However, the attendant took a long time to show up, so I was only able to play 2 songs.

I think the experience here could be improved by being more upfront with possible issues that users might encounter (glasses), as well as being more consistent with timing. A longer experience time would be more enjoyable for everyone.

Overall, IMAX VR is good for people who have never experienced VR before. However, for people with previous VR experience or those who want long gameplay sessions, it's worth it to find another place or just save up for a VR headset.
