We love Il Viccino. We have been going to this friendly, fast and fabulous wood oven pizzeria for years.

Their pizza is old school and delicious.
Order it just the way you like it - or choose one of their specialty pies.

      You can't go wrong!

Someone else describe this is CPK clone. I echo their comment that it is very similar to California pizza kitchen without the variety of choices on the menu. That said, the pizzas are good.

The crust is delicious and I thought the best part of the pizza. I got the number eight Angeli. It has Roasted chicken (which was pretty dry), sweet balsamic marinara sauce (very little sauce but that also means it wasn't overbearing), mozzarella, gorgonzola (if there was Gorgonzola I sure didn't taste it), portobello mushrooms, artichoke hearts, fresh rosemary (a flavor I did not notice when eating my pizza).

I would eat here again, but I would try something else next time. I also think that for the price, and knowing I could get a pizza for half the price to feed both of us with left overs with equally fresh ingredients at Papa Murphy's, I thought Papa Murphy's would have been a better option.

If I could describe this place in 2 words, they would be "CPK clone" -- though the menu is a lot less imaginative. If you go in expecting that kind of food, then it'll be somewhat decent, I guess. Don't go in expecting NY-style pizza, which is something I've been told. I ordered a Margherita pizza and got whatever that thing in the picture is. The other review about how the dough was dead on arrival is incredibly accurate. I've never had such a flavorless, lifeless crust. I mean, Domino's has more flavor than this pizza at half the cost.

Also, when I went, there was a cook haphazardly tossing order slips on the sandwiches and salads. I also noticed the wait staff quizzing a new guy on what the sandwich they were holding was. Personally, I don't like some stranger breathing all over my food, but I guess cleanliness doesn't fit the casual vibe they're going for.

I'm a fan. The pizza was delicious. Service was fantastic. And the restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere.

If you're in the area and looking for a good pie be sure to check this place out.

I got the Angeli (I think that's how it's spelled?) pizza and enjoyed it very much. It comes with roast chicken, a sweet sauce, some artichoke hearts, mushrooms, cheese, all baked in a wood fire oven. Because of that the pizza came out really fast and had a really great texture to it.

I usually prefer my pies to have more of a scratchy crunchy bottom crust but it's really just my preference and not a gripe. The flavor was excellent and what really took it to another level is the spicy oil they had on the table.

I'm a big fan of hot oil any time I get Chinese or Vietnamese food but never saw spicy oil at a pizza place. That stuff was awesome. I'm guessing it's a red pepper infused olive oil. Really good thing to add to the pizza.

Definitely glad we picked this place for dinner. Will be back next time we're in town.

Great food and service. We had pizza and a calzone. Both out of this world and priced right.

A different approach to the pizza business. The location is downtown Tejon street. Very popular area with local bars and clubs. While this area does have a great night life on the weekends...the other attraction is the restaurant's down here. Walking in, you find a counter and a large menu where you can create your masterpiece. The flavors are not the typical Domino's pizza delivery style. This place incorporates a lot of italian-esque flavors and atmosphere. Definitely try this place at least once. It was a great afternoon meal for the wife and I.

      The atmosphere is absolutely pleasant.

Wow! I came here with my in laws who didn't stop making kids after 3 and hence we were with them and 9 grandkids. The food was fantastic and on Monday's wine is half off so I would give this review a 6 but yelp won't let me. We ordered a lot of food and the server was more than pleasant and helped make sure that we got everyone's orders. They also have their own bottled wine which was really good. The truffle mushroom pizza was amazing and we can't wait to go back again!!

Good, solid pizza. The crust is the best part - chewy but crispy. Nothing really puts it over the top (hence the 4 stars) but it's good.
