Can't say I was even remotely full after this meal but thanks, IKEA for thinking of the vegans lol
I did get a veggie dog and the cinnamon rolls on the way out of the store, which I was surprised that the fresh baked cinnamon rolls are 'accidentally' vegan! I like how the nutritional information is available for each item and the prices are pretty reasonable but even as a small woman, I needed more to eat. My son was r hungry so I just got some cookies and pop for him. My mom got the Cod dish that comes with your choice of two sides and also said the same thing after eating, that she definitely was not full. The food is fairly healthy so at least there's that. The lunch-line concept is also different and it makes ordering pretty quick. I did feel pretty rushed, but at least I didn't have much to choose from.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kevin N.Pompano Beach, FL16171Apr 4, 2023
The food service is filthy. This place has gone from
Bad to worse in the past couple of years. The supervisors at the cashiers are extremely rude, disrespectful and inexperienced. I was there with my wife 8 months pregnant and there was no place for her to sit. We needed to print out a simple form for purchase and they send us away telling us that their management does not allow them to do anything for their customers anymore.
The products are mainly made in China now. You get way better quality and prices at your local rooms to go and bed bath and beyond. Very sad that this store turned out this once thriving store turned out to be a customer service nightmare.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 7, 2018
The restaurant in Ikea has gone down a lot in the past few years. It is cafeteria style which I like, but lately the food has tasted like cafeteria food.
It's saving grace is the coffee is exceptional in my opinion. And their breakfast is decent.
On Tuesday morning they had a breakfast special for $0.99. Not sure if they still have it. Also, if you have a membership with Ikea, you can get a free coffee on your visit.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - G M.Hollywood, FL0447Mar 2, 2023
Love to eat at IKEA, for what it is a gem. The Swedish meatballs are always great now different quantities available. The new vegetable balls are very tasty. They always have smoked salmon plates and salads. Very generous chicken tenders for the kids or for you. Nice choice of sides with all plates. Very simple offerings but always fresh and tasty. Parking never a problem.

Tip #1: with the orange family card, all coffee is free all the time.
Tip#2: sign up with your birthdate and they send you an email on your birthday for a free meatball meal & a coupon for $15 off your next in store purchase.
Review: breakfast is a great deal. Under $1 for basic scrambled eggs, potatoes and 2 sausage links. Also free coffee and tea during breakfast.
The bistro opens before the regular store hours.
The staff is friendly and they have more that just the basic breakfast. They have lox and bagels, croissants and swedish pancakes. The lingonberry is authentic to the Swedish diet and it is a nice and quiet meal most of the time. There is a kids dining/play area with a video cartoon to keep kids entertained and there are all the kid dining accessories to heat bottles and keep kids at the table. Plenty of out of towners visit as a tourist destination...(not sure why) but they are very family friendly.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Peter H.Clifton Park, NY49175319Feb 20, 2019
I have been told never to go shopping on an empty stomach. Since we do not have an IKEA near us in NY we decided to drive to this one in Florida. Ok not entirely true as this is the closest one to my in-laws in Plantation.
I had dental surgery recently so I stuck with the meatballs and the potato broccoli. The potato broccoli was surprisingly good. The meatballs were as expected. Now that the stomachs are full let the shopping begin.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Leila D.Boston, MA6106698May 12, 2018
IKEA has the BEST chicken tenders ever!!! They are so lightly breaded and the chicken meat is juicy and delicious. The food in general is always delicious and they have great prices. I don't think anything costs more than $7. The restaurant is probably my favorite part about coming to IKEA.
I also love that they have chicken meatballs now because I don't eat pork so I can't have their regular meatballs.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 8, 2015
I guess the Yelp marketing worked! We must have had IKEA on our minds after the BPB Yelp games! Today we were deciding between our usual array of diners for brunch and my 10 year old junior Yelper exclaimed, "Why not go to IKEA?" Always up for a change of pace, we agreed.
The only challenge about IKEA, especially on a weekend, can be parking, but luckily we we able to grab a spot close to the entrance. At just past noon, the cafeteria was busy, but not packed. My husband and I shared a smoked salmon plate for an appetizer. It had some shaved veggies and dressing on top which complemented the salmon really well. For less than $5.00, this's was a bargain.
I guess everything at IKEA Restaurant is pretty cheap though! All four of us went for Swedish Meatballs. For $7.99 you can get them with a side, a drink, and a soup or salad. The meatballs are good. They do taste a little like the frozen meatballs I buy for my kids at Costco, but the sauce elevates them a bit. For my side I had veggies. Again, they tasted frozen. The rest of my family got either mashed potatoes or mac & cheese, which they liked. The soup of the day was Carrot Ginger. I did not like this soup at all. It tasted like hot puréed carrots without anything else added...not for me. I tasted the cornbread which was soft, sweet, moist, and delicious.
There is not a huge variety but there are other cold items offered, as well as other hot meals such as ribs and chicken tenders.
IKEA Restaurant is a great place to stop for sustenance if one is shopping at IKEA. I don't know if we will return on a regular basis when we are not shopping, but I can see coming back once in a blue moon when we tire of our regular diner routine and want a fast, reasonable meal.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Nov 3, 2019
I love love love this place so much. I enjoy bringing my toddler here to get him EXHAUSTED. I not only do some shopping but he knocks out by 8pm when I bring him by. PRO TIP: Don't leave your kid in the front and bring a stroller for when he gets tired.

I went here for lunch for the first time and was very disappointed. Everyone keeps telling me how their Swedish meatballs are amazing so I decided to finally try them out. They were chewy and tasted like frozen microwaved meatballs. The gravy was bland as well. The mixed vegetables were close to dehydrated. The entire meal made me feel sick afterwards. My mom got the salmon and it has a strong fish smell/taste. Plane steamed/microwaved salmon. She didn't even finish it. I would definitely not recommend it. The restaurant looked clean and polished but the food was horrible
