Yeah I tried Alices, but not as good as I57.
Food has always been the best around, yes they are slow, but worth the wait.
One bad experience doesn't count for everything. If you haven't tried this place yet, I suggest you go for it! The one on 97th and Halsted may be even better

I have been looking for some good rib tips for awhile and I'm so happy my daughter happened upon this place a few weeks ago.

It can get really crowded and if you are in a hurry I wouldn't say this is the place that you would just pop into but the wait was worth it for us in the end(about 20 mins) We tried to call in our order the second time we went but couldn't get through.

I even liked their fries with the sauce on it and I'm not a big fan of sauce on my fries...the only thing I would say is that I didn't like the coleslaw it was flavorless.

They do take credit/debit cards on orders that I believe are over $10 dollars.

I will be back to try some the other items on their menu very soon!

If I had a suggestion for them I would say get a better sign maybe even one that lights up because we passed up the place the first time because it kind of blended in with the surrounding.

      Enjoy!!!

Chicken old and fried in dirty burnt grease. I don't even want to give it 1 star. Completely horrible. I'm not sure what happened to this place.

Just ordered bucket of turkey tips and they were "Tough n Dry" Matter of fact that should be the name of this restaurant. I also order chicken wings and they had weird aftertaste, might be the grease it was cooked. Either way, just, kinda "Ok". Fries the same. Paid $40 on nothing.

      Soul food? Yes, please!

A bunch of us at the office decided to order carry-out one day and we opted for I-57 Rib House. Barbecue rib tips, sausage links, chicken wings, fried gizzards, fried catfish.....the list goes on. You know the deal.

I had the lunch special with fried catfish nuggets, French fries, bread, hushpuppies, and pop. All for just $6! The food arrived lukewarm so I had to toss it in the microwave for a minute. Surprisingly, the four chunks of catfish remained intact and crispy! Couldn't complain much! The bed of fries, on the other hand, under performed. It was soft and bland. Fortunately, my order also came with salt. But where was the pepper?! The bread was simply two slices of whites placed on top like a hat. Nothing to bring home about.

Note: Their hot sauce isn't weak. Beware!

They are good .But you have to check when you purchase a bucket of tips.they will give you hard, burnt tips in the bottom of the bucket. They got me for Christmas like that .Every since then, I just dont really like them no more. putting fresh tips on the top of my bucket then all those tuff burnt ass bones on the bottom..My order 25.00. I dont got time to play with them and Ion eat scraps with bar b que sauce

First of all, when I called to place my order they informed me 45 mins to an hour. Yes for ribs. So since I thought that since it took that long then these ribs will be the best in town. That was wrong. When I got to the place it took another 20 mins to get my order. I got home and found that the ribs were tough and dry. The fries tasted old. The hot links were lack luster at best. Needless to say that I'm never going back to that place.

Albeit the most "hood" location, their food is the best. They have raised the prices recently but I was not disappointed by their timeliness or the quality of the food. I had to text my friends to tell them how delicious the rib tips were!

A buddy and I would've given I57 a higher ranking, but the young lady who took our order had a very funky attitude - for no apparent reason. I told her that this was our first time eating at I57! Sauce is Boss. All I wanted was a sample of their three different barbecue sauces, but she told us "we don have anythin to give out fo you to sample are sauces in." Pssssss...she should not be your front line if she can't service customers with a smile. Good food plus bad customer service do not necessarily bring customers back. Attention Owner/Manager.......please fix this problem because your reputation and brand should be and is important. There are hundreds of rib joints shacks throughout the greater Chicagoland. Your customers deserve better service when they are spending their hard earned money.

I ordered the lunch portion mini rib tips for about 6 or 7 dollars and it came with 5 rib tips, 15 french fries, 2 slices of cheap white bread, cole slaw and a diabetic red "Vess" pop. I will admit that the meat was actually cooked well and it was tender too....so they know how to Q. I just wished that I had a chance to try their other types of barbecue sauces.

I will give I57 another chance, but it will not be at the one on Western.
