Hyatt Place Cincinnati/Sharonville is by far the worst stay at a Hyatt we've ever had.

They required a $15 incidental charge upon check in that they have you "acknowledge". You supposedly won't be charge for it so long as you don't charge things to the room. Our bathroom toilet paper roll was broken in our room and the room wasn't throughly cleaned. I found random hair bands and shampoo in odd places.

The staff cleaned up breakfast before closing time. Also, 15 mins before closing, they were complaining to each other that they "wouldn't be restocking anything" because "guests were told breakfast closed at 9am". It's not nice to NOT keep coffee, hot water and tea bags stocked before breakfast closes. Some people don't even taken advantage of breakfast, but just need the BASIC amenities like hot coffee and tea. All other Hyatts at least keep these items out for people can enjoy a cup before their journey.

As a Hyatt regular and driving cross country, this is by far the worst experience we've had. Usually we are greeted and thanked for being a loyal Hyatt member. The staff disappeared after closing breakfast so guests couldn't ask them for items like hot water and coffee. So disappointing and I would not recommend this Hyatt if you are looking to stay in the area.

I stayed here last night and checked out this morning 3/1/2022.

Let me tell you, FAITH COUZENS is an AMAZING manager. She took care of us with such great grace. She was very knowledgeable of the hotel and was able to answer all of my questions. She ensured that we (my husband and I) would have a great stay and indeed we did.

No complaints. Great job Faith Couzens.

I really like the beds here - super comfortable- which is my one thing I look for in a hotel. Reasonable price point and great customer service. Nice amenities such as free parking and indoor pool. Convenient location to many Cincinnati attractions and things to do.

      Comfy bed

I'd give it zero stars if I could. Set up a reservation by phone for the weekend of a youth hockey tournament Feb 18-21. Tournament was canceled months in advance. Called to cancel the reservation and they told us that there were no cancellations. Was never told that there were no cancellations over the phone when the room was booked. Will be advising everyone in our tournament group to not book Hyatt hotels in the future. If you want to keep the $600 you stole from us, fine. It's going to cost you a lot more to not make this right.

Beware of this chain. I now see where it says no cancellations when booked online, but when you book on the phone and they don't tell you that is pretty shady.

got locked out of my room for 1 hour at 11pm at night, was given a new room, hotel staff expected me to have my old room cleaned out at 8am the next morning. they do not understand what a do not disturb sign is. knocked and called me several times after stonewalling because its 8 fucking am and im tired from being locked out of my room the night before. said I needed to be out in 15 minutes because another guest needed the room even tho there were plenty of other rooms available because over half of the parking lot was empty.
apparently this staff does not know how to put themselves in someone elses shoes because holy shit im annoyed

I might be being a little generous.

The good: 1. The room was immaculate.
      2. The breakfast was different from a typical hotel breakfast. 3. It was quiet. 4. The shower was the most wonderful shower ever. I'd like one like it at home. 5. Served my purpose.

The bad: 1. The parking. There might as not be handicapped parking as it's across the street. In fact all the parking is across the street which wouldn't be bad except people have luggage & not a luggage rack in sight.

      2. I asked if the bar was open. The desk clerk said yes. When I went into the bar everything was covered with white sheets. The desk clerk said that didn't matter she could still make whatever. I ordered Door Dash.

      3. Every question I asked any of the desk clerks, the answer was I don't know. Hey at least they're honest.

      4. When I got back at 8:00 last night, it was dark out, the doors to the hotel unlocked & not a staff member including desk clerk in sight.

      5. No book in the room listing nearby restaurants, businesses, etc....

Would I stay at Hyatt Place again? Yes. Just not this one.

Not too much around this hotel late night for food. The bar closed pretty early. But the room was perfectly fine for a work trip. Bed was comfortable and parking was easy.

The Sharonville Convention Center is a nice location for conventions. There's a lot of parking, and multiple rooms to employ for events. Facilities are definitely adequate, but obviously not as nice as a newly built or renovated place.
My one suggestion would be that the parking area be policed a bit more for scammers. Some kids were charging folks for parking in a free lot. A pretty decent scam for them, really. But there were police officers working traffic in the area who took no action to address.
The Hyatt Place is nicer than the convention facilities. No issues there.

The room, the staff and the facility were excellent! Everyone was friendly, helpful and our stay was enjoyable. The only issue was breakfast.

We chose the Hyatt brand because they have a great breakfast and with four kids it is important to fill them up before heading out on an adventure.

Day one there was no breakfast meat or fruit. I have never been to a Hyatt where I cannot grab a banana with breakfast (my go to). There was no yogurt and the cereal selection was thin. We ended up feeding the kids a big lunch out due to the quality of breakfast.

Day two was better. They had sausage and a bowl of highly processed (not very fresh) fruit. They had yogurt and cottage cheese. This was much closer to what we expect from a Hyatt brand.
