I did not buy a car from this dealership, and I never will. I purchased a console vault safe from Ford's Accessory website, and purchased the installation and for some reason chose Avis Ford to install it. I called them to set up an appointment to have the part installed once I figured out that the part had been delivered to them (but not contacted by them) and was told to come in the next day at 9:30 to 10:00am, thusly I did.
Upon my arrival, I was met with a long line of vehicles waiting to be processed, with two staff members checking people in. I was told that I did not have an appointment, when one should have been made for this installation. I was told to drop my keys off and they will get to it when they could. Luckily, I only had one other vehicle ahead of mine in line to get done. That being said, from the time I parked my car at service, until the time that I was checked in, it was 30 minutes of standing around. The employees seemed to be dragging their feet and did not want to be there and made me feel like I was an inconvenience for being there.
That being said, they did finish the installation and did a good job from what I can see. It only took them two hours (was estimated 2-2.5 hours) and am satisfied so far.
As for the dealership, I have been to several Ford dealerships and bought from several Ford Dealerships. Their Dealership sales floor is dirtier and older than most Used Car Lots. Friendly staff greeted me as I pondered the sales floor, but their facilities were older, dirty and seemingly very different from other dealerships in the area. I used the service department for an oil change and they forgot to put the cover back on properly. Took a ride to Chicago after and the cover was dangling by one screw almost causing a big accident on 94. I will not go back to them again and I highly don't recommend them at all. Very careless and they don't pay attention to details.

Went in for "service" and you would have thought I should have figured out my own issue, and borrowed some tools to fix it. Horrible attitude for service rep. Lazy, and lax barely a greeting, and no call when service was complete! Yikes the management here is weak, and customers are not the focus.

As a Ford vehicle owner for many years and as a salesperson for many years I want to explain my experience with one of the few times I have brought my car in for service.
I set an appointment the previous week for 12/12/23 with Jean Miller and dropped off the car that morning fully expecting to have it ready later that day. I did not hear from anyone so at 3:30p I called to ask the status. I was told they were looking at it. I received no further follow up to let me know the car would need to stay overnight. The next day 12/13, I called again at around 11am and Jean had not come in yet. I was frustrated that no one gave me a courtesy call to advise me of the status so I assumed nothing was done. I came back to the dealership and asked to release the car to me so I could take it somewhere else. Another service person checked and discovered the car was being worked on and did not know when it would be done. I went home and the next call I received was from Jean at ~4:00P advising the car was ready. I asked that Avis send a car to pick me up which he confirmed. Then I received another call from a driver who was delivering the car to my home. That was totally unexpected.
While I appreciate the door to door delivery service the communication from beginning to end was poor at best.

They aren't friendly at all. The people on the operator/phone end are rude and either hang up on you or put you on hold for a ridiculous amount of time only to forward you onward. The service techs are also not friendly and appear to be miserable. They never greet you and act like you're out of place for being there. Like what?
It's ironic that they put customer service is their goal on your receipt because it truly seems like the opposite. Even when they respond to honest reviews others have left they act condescending and rude instead of actually taking a step back and realizing they need to do better. Super unprofessional of them. It takes them multiple days to do a simple service check, they said they checked the fluids but it was clear they did not. You have to call and bug them for status updates because they don't communicate with you or give you false promises saying it'll be done this day or that day.
I asked them to check my brakes and the technician began arguing with me and telling me "the car is newer it doesn't need them, they probably aren't making any noise, etc" and it was 100% probably because I'm a woman and he assumed I know nothing about cars. I've changed the brakes on my own vehicles myself so it was extremely sexist, rude, and out of line. Come to find out he ends up telling me my rotors were warped and then they didn't even replace them and only ground them down. I'll get them replaced elsewhere.
They seem to be lazy and just overall not a good place to go if you want things taken care of in a reasonable manner. No reason for them to be so rude to people. The most friendly person I encountered here was one of the guys in the Quick Lane when I got my oil changed.
I'm not coming back here and when they respond to my review I'll just laugh. You'll see what I mean based on how they respond to any type of criticism. My friend needed a car so her and I went after finding a good deal on their website. We had an appointment with Jason and he was incredibly helpful. He was very patient with the both of us and answered our seemingly endless questions kindly. I highly recommend meeting with him and visiting the dealership.

Avis Ford service department is unprofessional, distant, don't care about the customer service or problems. I went to the service department to look for my vehicle that was dropped off by another car company and was acquiring about it for pick up. I was direct to a gentleman name Jean in service. When telling him problem he tells me I am on the phone while leaning his sweaty body back in the chair with his hands behind his head. Once he got the phone he never acknowledge me at all. Start talking to someone else. When my voice got higher because of the disrespect he started talking. I told him my problem and he said what do you want me to do. How do I know you bought that car. I showed him my registration and car sales and said look see. He never looked he brushed me off. If this is what I am to look forward to well fuck it. I am tired of the disrespect this dealership gives. I been buying cars her since 1989 and I be DAMMMMM if I left a racist human being treat me like trash.

Hi Stephanie, After reviewing your experience closely with all members of our staff we understand your dissatisfaction. However, other than being short-staffed, hence the delay in one of our only Service Advisors being unable to help you immediately, we cannot agree that you were treated with disrespect. In fact, our staff followed all of the correct protocols in order to release a vehicle to someone whose name is not on the repair order. As Glassman brought the vehicle to us for a repair and communicated with us regarding the status of the repair, your information needed to be verified by our staff to be released. Also, the vehicle was not finished being repaired, which is why the staff was not expecting anyone to come and pick it up. All of this was explained to you by the Service Advisor (we reviewed our desk monitoring system and security cameras) and when our Service Manager attempted to assist, you waved him away. We try very hard to meet the high standards we set for customer service and we feel confident that the attempt was certainly made in your case. If you would like to discuss the details of your visit further, we invite you to contact our Management team. Feb 23, 2020Previous reviewAvis Ford service department is unprofessional, liars, cheaters and have uneducated. They do work on your vehicle without telling you and getting approval for work to be done. I had a service member name Terrance Meyers do a diagnostic on my vehicle without my approval. Never was told it had to have a electrical diagnostic done for my horn to see why it's not honking. My car was brought in for recalls. I explain to him my horn is not working. He explained to me I will have them look at it. No price was discuss of a diagnostic to be done. He called me back a day we did a diagnostic and it's 125.00 dollars. For fucking what and why did you do a diagnostic without my approval first if the price it would cost. Plus I did not sign for any diagnostic to be done of that amount. I have been informed diagnostic don't cost that amount. I will be refusing to pay 125.00 without being told it cost that and a diagnostic had to be done. Someone at that dam dealership better tell me what he did not tell me that car had to have a diagnostic done. I have extended warranty on my vehicle and he is trying to charge me 100.00 dollars for a deductible which no work was done on the vehicle only recalls which are free!!! Mad as fuck !!!!! Will be talking to someone when I pick up my car. Because s sister is not pay that shit.

I purchased a used car from this dealer. Tim was a great salesman and helped me out. Made everything really easy. Seems like a old fashion dealer. Only issue I had was they were going to mail my new tabs and I never got them? No idea why not? But I went to secretary state and then they printed one off for free.

Yeap one star. The service department is the worse. I ask them if I could wait for my car. They say no you need a driver or a rental, they never have cars for you. So they drive me to Hertz. I forgot my garage opener in my car, so I go back and I see my car sitting there. I asked Alan why is my car sitting there, he said it was finished. It wasn't but one hour. Remember I asked if I could wait They said they didn't know how long it would be. Then I had to go back to Hertz to get a refund they wouldn't give me back my $38.00 for rental for half an hour. Avis lube is no better. Don't come here.
