I am not sure what is more painful, buying a new car or hitting your head on a brick wall several times. The good news was we had done our homework before visiting any automobile dealerships.
We decided that we were impressed with the new GV80 Genesis. Therefore, we decided to visit Hyundai in Florida, and we were quite impressed with the Genesis GV80. Unfortunately, we were unhappy with the price presented and the overconfident salesperson's personality. So, we chose to move on.
Once returned to New York, I googled the Genesis website and built a GV80 automobile and shortly afterwards I received a call from the Huntington Hyundai dealer.
When we entered, a young salesperson was assigned to assist us. Th salesperson was knowledgeable and quite pleasant. After an hour or so and with the assistance of the salesperson manager, we bought a new car. The delivery experience was exceptionally smooth, and our salesperson was helpful with absorbing the knowledge of the vehicle.
Overall, our buying a car experience was unusually pleasing, the dealership is unassuming, and it can be difficult to maneuver in the dealership parking facility, but that should not deter anyone from buying automobile Huntington Hyundai.Helpful 45Thanks 4Love this 40Oh no 1 - Mike M.San Francisco, CA01Mar 29, 2024
Had a horrible experience trying to lease a 2024 Ioniq 6 from this dealership. I had reserved one of the few remaining on LI and was driving there to sign all the papers when the salesmen called me while I was enroute to tell me the car had been sold. He promised (as car salesmen do) that he would do his best to find another, and he never called. After reading further reviews about their services I decided to lease a Tesla Model Y and I'm very happy with it.

My wife bought a Sante Fe 3 years ago. We received 2 recall notices and went to get them fixed. The car was not ready the first day so we had to go back. asked about a noise and after being told we had to pay 189 dollars we found out the car part was under warrantee.
We set a date to have the car fixed, dropped off the car at 7:30 am and returned at 5pm (the time we were told to come back) to get the car. First they could not find the car or the paperwork. After 30 minutes we were told te car was not ready. We asked for a loaner (we work) and was told no because we are not customers there.....even though we bought the car there 3 years ago. We got the car and will never go back there- for service or to buy another car.
We called Hyndai 112 and they said they will take care of us. Thank goodness some places still know about customer service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christine Y.Hicksville, NY01Mar 6, 2024
I had a terrible experience at this service center. I brought my car into the service center in December for a recall. When I turned the car on, the airbag indicator light was on. Prior to service, the airbag indicator light was never on. I initially thought it would resolve on its own, but the issue persisted. When I contacted the dealership to address my safety concerns, the receptionist was dismissive, rude, and extremely, unhelpful, stating that the problem was unrelated to the recall. The earliest appointment available was not until March, more than a month and a half away. Despite reaching out via email to express my concerns, I received no response from the dealership. When I called a week before my scheduled appointment to inquire about moving it up due to safety worries, the receptionist was rude, unprofessional, obnoxious, and eventually hung up on me. On the day of the appointment, I was informed that I would be charged for the inspection of my vehicle and an additional fee for addressing the airbag issue. The employee claimed it was merely a coincidence that the airbag indicator light appeared on the same day as the recall service, despite no prior or subsequent incidents involving my car. I would not recommend this location, as it seems that customer concerns are not taken seriously. I am extremely upset and disappointed by the lack of accountability that this dealership has for their customers.

Spoke with sales man in re purchase of an older used car. Assured car was Certified Warrantee. Loved car. While inspecting car discovered the Warrantee Certification. Put it in my pocket. Sat with salesman and his mgr. Both confirmed to me I was mistaken and there wasnt any Cert/War on the car. I would be wiser to opt for a 72 month lease on a NEW car at the same monthly payment. I asked each sales rep; are you certain there isnt any Cert/War on the used car ? Reply: of course not, wouldnt make any sense, cars too old. I presented them with the Cert/War signed by the mechanic AND the Manager. They quite simply just lied to me so I would take the lease.
So once again...let the buyer beware.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Todd B.NY, NY01Oct 2, 2023
DISHONEST LENDING PRACTICES. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP
I was literally one signature away from purchasing my second vehicle in three months from Huntington Hyundai. But the finance manager attempted to conceal the fact that my finance rate had been jacked up to 6.29% from the 6.19% I agreed to with my salesman (and someone who claimed to be the manager but who I later found out was not). I started by asking the finance manager why my monthly payments were $10 higher per month. She told me it was due to DMV charges. Really? A $150 DMV charge boosts my total by $720 over the life of the loan?!? Then, I had to ask multiple times about the rate. Each time, she claimed there was no change, and I didn't know what I was talking about. She finally admitted that the rate was changed when I decided to go with 72 payments instead of 60. I walked out on the sale. To add insult to injury, the sales manager (Miss M.) proceeded to tell me she didn't want my business.
The salesman asked, "What can we do to resolve this?" I told him, "Have the two ladies apologize." They refused, and so they lost the sale.
When I asked for the documents I signed to be voided, the manager handed only one back and claimed she couldn't give me the others.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian A.Locust Valley, NY01Sep 18, 2023
I usually do not write bad reviews but I feel like others should know. This weekend I went to their showroom to purchase a Genesis GV80. I called my salesperson to let them know I was coming, as they requested the day before. When I got there I waited almost 15 minutes as he was not available. He then gave me the keys for a test drive and when I got back he was gone and I waited another 15-20 minutes. I asked him if he had a car on the lot with the advanced package as the one he had me drive was the prestige. He said no. His manager came over as I have a Volvo lease that he was interested in buying. There was some back and forth about the Volvo. When it seemed like there could be a purchase then the original salesperson all of a sudden said he did have the car with the advanced package on the lot and he would get the key. So he lied to me. Eventually we got down to quotes and I showed him a competitors price. His manager said he can't meet that price but didn't even try to negotiate with me. It was basically a no and see you later. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated and I was going to purchase the car that day if we could agree on price. It was a lost sale for them and I highly recommend going to a different Genesis dealer if you are looking for one.

My wife and I just purchased a new 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Hybrid from Bob Awn. In all the years of buying new cars I never met anyone like Bob. From the minute we walked into the showroom, we were treated with kindness and professionalism. Not only did he give us a great deal, and I know great deal being a retired sales manager at a GM dealership, he treated us like family. When we picked the car up, the delivery was flawless. Then to top it off, before we left he presented my wife with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I highly recommend Bob to anyone looking for a Hyundai or Genesis.

I regret purchasing my car here, the purchase itself was quick and easy. However, it has been nothing but issues since then. If you need an appointment for service be ready to wait a few months, no matter what you need, even a recall.
