Hummel Eye Associates

You only get two eyes and it is a big decision to trust someone with your eyes. I put my trust in Dr. Chris Hummel at Hummel Eye Associates when I found out I had cataracts. My optometrist, Dr. Bryce Mayes at Premier Eyecare in Edmond told me Dr. Chris was his referral for eye surgery. The office staff is amazing. Friendly, happy and caring, I always felt at home in the office. The support staff is so professional and Dr. Hummel has a wonderful bedside manner. He always made me feel comfortable and I trusted him all the way. I had some problems and he never missed a beat. He knew exactly what to do and how to continue until I had perfect vision. He is definitely a perfectionist and won't take less than perfection in his work. I am so glad I was referred to Hummel Eye Associates and Dr. Chris Hummel. Exceeded my expectations every step of the way!

I am so glad my eye doctor referred me to Hummel Eye Associates. for the past six months I have been under Dr. Chris Hummel's care and he is an excellent doctor. from the beginning, I had issues. it started with cataract surgery. one eye was completed and then the other. my eyesight was not perfect but Dr. Hummel was determined to make it perfect. He used LASIK to sharpen my eyes after the cataract and yag surgery. I always felt so well taken care of. The staff in the office is so compassionate and so sweet. They were all kind and listened when I had concerns or questions. after today, I have been released and I couldn't be happier! I have perfect vision and I would never go to any other surgeon for my eyes.

I want to say I am a rare case 42year who had a cataract in the middle of my right eye that progressed fast . The staff always was respectful, professional and very knowledgeable. I believe I got top of the line patient care from beginning to end. My eye sight has improved significantly and I am forever great full. The Dr. Hummel was honest with his assessment and I feel he did excellent work. I would recommend him!

This is the worst eye care in town. From the first visit, they asked me for my medical insurance info in addition to my vision plan, in despite I only requested and appointment for a routine visit. In more than one ocassion, I realized they submitted charges for services they did not provide, to different members of my family. In addition their staff is useless and Linda, the person in charge of the eye glasses is the most inept person I ever met. She has continuously made mistakes on all orders including applying the wrong prescription to lenses I purchased for an existing frame and also not responding to Eyeconic (insurance website to buy eyecare) requests to validate prescription when the purchase of contacts is not done thru her office.

My 86yo mother had cataract surgery 5 years ago. Ever since that time, she has experienced double vision. This double vision has cause issues with walking, balance and ultimately, has cause several falls. Many eye doctors have attempted to correct this through prisms in her glasses Rx. She has dementia that has impacted her ability to verbalize improvements during an eye exam, ultimately leading to a failure in correction. As one could imagine, this makes it very challenging for a doctor to figure out the needed correction for double vision and the repeated attempts by the lab to grind the right Rx.
Enter Dr. Sherri Eakins, with Hummel Eye Associates. Dr. Eakins took the extra time to figure out how to effectively communicate with my mother to get clear signals of "good" or "worse" during the eye exam. It probably took twice as long to complete the exam, but the payoff was a beautiful thing to behold. At the moment that Dr. Eakins figured out the correct prism combination, my mother sang out the word "STOP!". Dr Eakins had done what no other Dr was able to accomplish. My mother started crying tears of joy. I can't imagine a better example of why anyone should consider Hummel Eye Associates as their choice for eye care. Although I live out of state, I'm scheduling my next Eye appointment with Dr. Eakins.
Lastly, the support staff and technicians were polite, professional and pleasant.
