I found this park near our hotel when we stayed in Streetsboro for some author events. This place is huge with a big parking lot. There's several play structures and tables, as well as plenty of open space.
In the summer you can rent a canoe to paddle around the small lake. In the winter there's hills for sledding.
There is also a big Frisbee golf course, and a nature trail around the lake. People ride their bikes as well.
You can even relax in a porch swing by the lake.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jennifer S.Cleveland, OH7743104Jan 26, 2022
As a photographer, I am always looking for new locations to shoot portraits, and Hudson Springs Park is one of my new favorite locations. It features a beautiful lake and walking trail, many small bridges, a large forested area, and lots of activities for the family such as disc golf and canoeing. Highly recommend! This is one of my favorite parks! I love the trail around the lake for running or for walking while talking to a friend. I have also gone hammocking here a few times, and it's a great place for that! The picnic areas have held many family gatherings and even Bible studies with my old high school friends! I have brought kids I have babysat here to play on the playground, and they love it! The bathrooms are generally very clean. You can't swim in the lake, but you can go fishing and kayaking! I will continually be coming here :)

The sign on the roadside is easy to miss, but once you turn on the curvy road to the park it takes you to a lovely area. This is a beautiful park with a path that's great for walking and jogging. The path goes around a nice lake for two miles. The beginning of the path is paved. On the far side of the lake the path is stone and easy to walk. Part of the path is shaded by trees. Benches are scattered around. The area is clean and neat. Restrooms are there. The large paved parking lot is easy to get in and out.

For walkers: This is a 2 mile walking trail. The first half mile is good for beginners. As you progress, the trail has more hills and the trail becomes more demanding. The beautiful Lake is very picturesque and the sound of birdsong will fill the air.
The trail is well kept, and there are lookout points and some benches, for those who want to soak up the beautiful scenery and rest.
What I love most about the trail, is the wildlife, the chance to see the Blue Heron, Mallards and Canadian Geese.
On afternoons in the Summer, the trail can become crowded.
There are a couple of Pavilions for those having picnics.
The only down side is the traffic noise. You can hear the traffic noise from 480 here. So if you want perfect silence, you won't find it. But the views can be very inspiring.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Roger W.Valley View, TX171Feb 10, 2022
Didn't have much luck here while Ice fishing, but if you know the right shanties you can still have a happy ending. Ask for candy cane, highly recommend!

This is a great park for trail running, kayaking, fishing and I guess frisbee golf if I knew how to play. There's also a playground and spots for picnics.
The trail surrounds the lake through the woods and it's perfect for a walk (very dog friendly), a run and probably cross country skiing. There aren't many rocks and the hills aren't too steep.
The lake is pretty large and can accommodate quite a few small fishing boats, canoes and kayaks. There are even places to store kayaks and canoes for an annual fee of $65 I believe.
Overall it's such a beautiful setting.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Cat K.Ann Arbor, MI2912339Aug 3, 2019
Been here twice and will continue! Nice family park with fun things to do: fishing, canoe, walks, simple hikes, bike routes, playground, and designated area for pets. Personally, I enjoy the walks - about 2 miles round trip. Very easy to do and many do double or more laps.

Most gorgeous park in the City of Hudson! If you want to get a flavor of what Hudson is all about, this is one of those places you will want to visit...and hike and picnic and play Frisbee Golf and volleyball and Cornhole and...The Hudson Park & Recreation Dept has done a great job of designing this park to meet the recreational needs and interests of all generations. Two pavilions provide plenty of space for family and group picnics. Park benches along the hiking trails invite hikers to sit and enjoy nature. The boys' and girls' track and cross country teams make use of the park to train. The park encourages wildlife (not the party kind) with a Martin House, bluebird boxes and butterfly gardens. Playground equipment invites kids of all ages to come and play. The main trail has enough elevation changes and twists and turns to keep things interesting. A stocked lake makes fishing enjoyable. Kayaks can be rented so you can enjoy some quiet time on the water! I challenge you to find as divine a parkas Hudson Springs in any other community!
