This is a Southern breakfast and lunch chain restaurant attached to a Mobil gas station. Many locals as the manager greeted most people by name. Seats are at
booth or counter.
Fast friendly service with very low prices. Not a destination restaurant but good for quick meal if in area scouting estate sales!
Note: if ordering breakfast for $3.99 plus - bacon or sausage is only $1 more.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Leon K.SC, SC219429Jun 17, 2015Updated review
Unbelievably slow uncaring cooks in this place! 8 people here. Two cooks. The one cook looked like he was mad at the world. And not one of the people here had any food yet!!! Then he burns the hash browns. Burns the bacon...man, just too much to take today. One lady sat at the counter for 15 minutes waiting on two to go breakfasts and by the time they got around to giving it to her they were already cold. Bad day i guess for these guys...now I'm looking at my food sit on their counter and they don't have my toast in yet!!!

And this place has it all. It is a pleasure to walk into a restaurant and be greeted sincerely. The servers are super, they actually Smile (which you don't see much in that other waffle place). They are constantly cleaning and smiling and even singing along sometimes to the canned music. I think that's great! But the best of all is that guy cooking. He knows how to time the food prep and cooking so when it comes to your seat it is still steaming! And he didn't wait around for servers to come get the food. If it's ready and they are busy instead of letting it sit there he serves it to you, than asks you how are you doing every 5 minutes or so. Fantastic! And even though the place was packed I had my food in minutes. But I didn't care because if I wanted fast food id go to McDonalds. This has become my new favorite place. I also asked them to burn my toast which my German grandfather used to love and he scrua

My husband and I ate here today. It was an awful experience! It took forever to be waited on, although we were the only ones there and there were six staff members just standing in the kitchen looking at us. After we ordered I was looking around and noticed how dirty the place was. When our order came out it wasnt right but we didnt send it back due to being in a hurry. Food was cold, could be because they had the air on although it was in the 20's today! We use to love this place but we won't be back!!!

We went to this restaurant a couple weeks ago for breakfast. Huddle House has become a favorite chain of ours, in many times over that other restaurant chain with similar format.
We were able to get seated right away. When the we were ready to order, the waitress was prompt about coming to take our order. After my husband placed his order, the waitress was ready to walk off without taking my order.
The cook was so very disorganized. Granted he could have been new, but still it was pretty bad.
Between the 2 of us, we ordered raisin toast, grits, scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage and a waffle.
First problem was our food came in stages, that was drawn out too far. Whoever was manning the waffles and toasters, did not pay attention because both wound up with butter not melted on it, because it was cold by the time they caught it. The raisin toast was also very hard along the edges, and almost burnt on the surface of the slice.
I asked for my bacon to be NOT crispy...I like my bacon limp, but cooked.
The french toast was disgusting. It was burnt on the side that faces you. as for the otherside .... someone failed to inform the cook that both sides of french toast need to be cooked!!!
The strawberry lemonade didn't takes like it had any strawberry init. It looked like someone ha added some food coloring and called it strawberry.
Our waitress did her job, the cook just couldnt keep up or couldn't get that rhythm going that I see at other short order cook places.
When we went to check out, the one register open was being bogarted by a woman placing an order to go. Finally we got someone's attention who rang up our order at the other register.
The only thing we didn't eat was the french toast after I ate part of the first slice. it was that disgusting. when it snot cooked through it is gooey and raw eggy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kaylie G.Olive Branch, MS02Feb 21, 2016
