I was dropping some stuff off in the San Carlos area and decided to have a quick lunch at Hot Work Bistro Too. I had the Mongolian Beef with fried rice (5/5) and a coke. The server (maybe owner) was nice and got my food out fairly quickly. I'm not sure I would seek this restaurant out but I am happy to eat here if I was in the area because of the quality of food and quick service.

The food was delicious. I loved the soup, which was balanced and flavorful.

The szechuan chicken was good. The orange was fresh and had a good orange flavor to it. In both cases, the meat and food was delicious.

The service, Jenny in particular was really welcoming and great. Would recommend this place.

The Mongolian Beef had me by the neck! Really good!
Very friendly staff. Came at around 6:30pm Friday. Had a really good experience.

New Ownership. Not nearly as good as before. Will miss Joyce and the rest of the previous staff.

The service at hot wok bistro is nothing like any other Cantonese restaurant. The staff are friendly, welcoming and are consistent with creating an environment where you are taken care of.
The ambience of the restaurant is simultaneously calming and feels like home.
I highly recommend hot wok bistro at either of their locations to anyone and everyone in the Bay Area. Definitely a must try!

I wasn't super hungry so just got a light meal here. the appetizer prawns were very delicious. my mom got a chicken dish which was flavorful and good portions. the prices are pretty reasonable. service was friendly and it was easy access parking wise so not much more you can ask for. I'd go again to try more.
