The service I received here was excellent. I can't remember her name but she is the new owner and she is awesome! I loved our bachelorette cake. And she gave me suggestions to personalize it. She was a joy to work with!

The owner helped me personalize this cake for my friend who is marrying a French guy.

Given the naughtiness of the business they are in, I don't think the couple that owns this place would ever qualify for sainthood. But they clearly have the patience of saints.

Hot Chocolate is located in the French Quarter and has *a ton* of bachelorette stuff (which is how I ended up there). As you can imagine, the WGPSF (woo girls per square foot) ratio has the potential to reach dangerously high levels. So kudos to the owners for putting up with that crap so bachelorette parties throughout New Orleans can be graced with a plethora of penis products.

And let me tell you, they have penis products galore. The biggest hit of the party we threw was Mr Pecker, a 6 foot tall inflatable penis. You can fill the base of Mr Pecker with water so that he always stays erect. And that we did. Mr Pecker graced a couple of Grand Isle's finest watering holes with his presence, was an animal on the dance floor, and became the object of affection for many ladies throughout the night. And he handled it all like a champ.

We also bought a variety of penis party favors and decorations to ensure the bachelorette party had a deluge of dicks. I really liked the penis light switch covers (which were actually repurposed erasers/peen-cil toppers. genius!). Every time you turn on/off the light, it's like giving a tiny hand job. They also make penis cakes here, but we didn't get one because someone else graciously volunteered to bake one.

In addition to the bachelorette wares, Hot Chocolate also has a variety of products for your sexytimes pleasure.

The customer service is excellent. They were a huge help as we selected our penis purchases and were extremely patient with our lack of decisiveness. Hot Chocolate will also order anything not in stock. Check them out, ya'll.

This is a zero star review. I placed a cake order three weeks in advance of my best friend's bachelorette's party went to pick it up and no cake. No explanation and no apology.

We were visiting New Orleans for my best friend's bachelorette party, and thought it would be fun to have a cute pull apart cake. We researched local bakeries and were put into contact with Hot Chocolate, which advertises itself as specializing in cakes. We contacted Hot Chocolate a month prior to our visit, and they seemed enthusiastic to contribute to our special weekend. We discussed what we were looking for, and the baker sent us a few examples of things she could do. She suggested a cute bridal gown-shaped pull apart cake, among other options. The night before the cake was due, we received an email asking us for another picture of what we were looking for (after the baker originally suggested the design). Hours before the cake was due, we received another email from the baker saying she was having difficulty with the fondant, but that she would make due with another design (which she had also sent us earlier in the month). We arrived in New Orleans, and what we received can only be described as the opposite of professional. I would describe the final work product as a PinterestFail, but unfortunately this was not an amateur attempt at a Pinterest product (or, perhaps it was, but what is disappointing is that Hot Chocolate holds itself out as a professional service). When we complained, we were met with attitude and excuses. Although each person is entitled to his or her own opinion, my opinion is that this was markedly unprofessional. I highly recommend against purchasing a cake from this store.

Hot Chocolate's attempt at replicating a cupcake wedding dress, which they originally suggested.

I ordered baileys cupcakes and a bunch of naughty gear for our joint bachelor/bachelorette party this past weekend in NOLA. We were out of state so to find a place in the french quarter in such a great location was perfect. This was such a great experience. Yes, the cupcakes were a bit late but the owner took off some of the price and had them delivered to the hotel. She was so professional.

Out on the town (Bourbon street) there were a bunch of bach parties but everyone, I mean EVERYONE was asking where we got our stuff. Even ppl not a part of bach parties wanted to buy what we had. It was soo much fun that we had naughty stuff and not the regular and corny bachelorette party princess gear!

I would highly recommend this place! If I ever want naughty stuff I am sooo coming here!

Do not buy from here. The cakes look nothing like the pictures online. The people there are so rude. Would not recommend at all!!! Regret going there

I bought a bunch of stuff including a 4 disc dvd from Hot Chocolate on a recent trip to the US. While the woman was ringing it up I was having a look at the shelf next to the register and not taking much notice. I left the next morning and didn't open the bag till I got back home....overseas! The dvd case was empty! She hadn't bothered to put the discs in while I wasn't looking so it pays to take notice. Sent them a message about it and received no reply. Wouldn't shop here again next time I'm in NO!

omg, the cake i ordered was a hit for my cousins bachelorette party! i found this place searching online for bachelorette party type cakes.

so, I'm from California and had to call in the order for "Mr. Average". The person that answered was super nice an patient and made sure the cake was customized exactly the way i wanted it. Since we were there during Mardi Gras, we were told that it would cost about 30-40 bucks extra to have it delivered to our hotel, but since the hotel was less than half a mile, one of my cousins and i decided to walk...it wouldn't have been worth it because the cake was about 30 bucks. We ordered a round, single layer vanilla cake with shots of Bailey's (which cost an extra 4 bucks to add the liquor). They could also add Cognac, Bourbon, and another one but i don't remember what it was.

The bride to be loved the cake! Since we didn't have forks and plates available at the hotel, we had to wait almost 2 days before digging in to the "naughty" cake, and it was still DELISH! They do sell plates and utensils there, but i figured we would've gotten some at the hotel, but i was wrong.

this place is a little shop that also sells bachelorette party favors and other good stuff. i suggest you check out their website! i would put up a pic of the cake, but i dont want to offend people =)
