Where to begin? The extremely limited hours? No. The 12 item menu? No. How about no hot tea at all. None whatsoever. Just iced tea? Hmm... How about the salt?! There's literally enough salt in their food to induce a high blood pressure event! I had the Mongolian beef and I thought that was bad until I tried my wife's Sesame Chicken. I almost gagged on the taste of her sauce! There was a serious overdose of salt in everything. Literally the only thing that tasted decent was the fortune cookie. The place was cluttered with junk on several tables and dirty. And $32 for two tiny portions? This place is a hard pass for me. The tasteless food would have been enough to drive me away let alone the saltiness. And there was zero spice in a dish advertised to be hot and spicy. I've had better tasting Top Ramen! Save your money, time and health and please look elsewhere.

It is certainly not the best but for such a remote location like Coffeyville, it is not bad. Do not expect anything fancy. The decor and ambiance is....well you know. Their Mongolian beef is a must try, probably the best thing on their menu.
一番美味しいとは言いませんが、こんな田舎のコフィービルにしてはいい方だと思います。内装や雰囲気はまあ、、、予想通りですがモンゴリアンビーフはメニューの中で一番美味しいと思います。Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jody G.Coffeyville, KS01Jan 4, 2018
I had the happy family lunch special. More than half way through my meal and I pick up a piece of broccoli and notice a worm, yes a WORM, on it. I was discussed. I showed it to the waitress/manager maybe idk. She asked if I'd like another meal and if course I declined. She did take my meal off my ticket as she should have, but still it was nasty. My husband couldn't even finish his meal after seeing the worm, cause he lost his appetite. This is my first and last time eating at this place

It was a surprise to find such excellent Chinese food in Coffeyville. I recommend it highly. The Mongolian beef is amazing (all beef & sauce, no vegetables), and we also tried Happy Family which was great (various meats & vegetables in brown sauce). Their sauces are very flavorful and portions are large. I think the owners have recently moved to this new location (our GPS sent us to their old location) so be sure the check the address before you go. Try it - you won't be disappointed!!
Update: I've tried to eat here a couple more times. They close at 7:30pm on weeknights (????). They were also not open at 5:00pm on Sunday and there are no hours posted, so I really have no idea when they are open. Doubt if I will make any more special trips over that way.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ginger M.Joplin, MO5712831012Sep 30, 2012
Excellent Chinese food served quickly in a clean, nicer casual environment. Not the cheapest you will find, but the quality is very good and makes it a decent value. We stopped due to positive Yelp reviews and are glad we did. I enjoyed my kung pao chicken immensely. You can tell they cook the vegetables fresh due to the excellent flavor! My boyfriend loved his shrimp curry. We would return in a heartbeat!

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. If I could give zero stars I would. Tasted old, not fresh, restaurant was very cluttered and dirty. How this place got 4/5 stars I have no idea. If you find yourself in Coffeyville you're better off going to El Pueblito. Don't waste your money.

Okay maybe not as good as it gets but def pretty good. Unlike the rest of the chinese food places in town. These are actually made to order. not nuked and put in a buffet pan. The owner/waitress is sue she is great. She always knows what we want. I get the pepper steak ... which is very very good. Hubby has gotten Chicken in hot sauce... which he says is very good and "makes ya snot a little".. not what i want when i eat but if you like spicy so be it! lol He also loves the lo mein which i agree is very good. Generals Tso is also very good there. Good crispy and hot with a touch of sweet. Egg drop soup is just okay. All in all its a good spot for a town of not much.

I do not understand where the good reviews came from, maybe friends and family. I have experienced good Chinese and decent to bad Chinese, but this is by far the worst food I have ever eaten. They give you plenty but I wouldn't even feed it to my dog! I know there's not a large variety in Coffeyville, KS so unless you are so desperate for Chinese, I'd drive anywhere but here. Go to the grocery store and buy some frozen Chinese and you will be much more pleased.

Since writing my first review, I've ordered lunch to-go a few times. The mongolian beef is ok, so is the hunan chicken. The portions seem smaller than what you get if you dine at the restaurant. Still the same super short hours for lunch and dinner, so not super convenient.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 7, 2013Previous reviewHong Kong Delight has pretty good chinese food for SEK, particularly the hunan chicken, mongolian beef and house special low mein. One drawback is they aren't always true to using the vegetables listed on an entree's description, particularly seasonal/pricey items like snow peas or straw mushrooms. Also, they do use MSG, so if you need it omitted you should speak up when ordering. Lunch is reasonably priced ($6), dinner not so much ($9 per entree) unless you stick to the pre-configured combination plates or family dinners. If you do order the family dinner or ala carte, they give you the typical chinese takeout boxes stuffed full of food for each.
Aside from being greeted at the door by an unsightly banquet table full of back-of-house work (menus, silverware, napkin sets, paperwork), the one oddity worth mentioning is the hours they keep. SUPER SHORT DINNER SERVICE!! As for lunch, I ordered takeout once and arrived around 1:10pm, and they said they were closed already...??...(they did have my order though, thank goodness)....
Here are the hours on the menu:
Tuesday-Saturday
Lunch: 11:00am - 1:30pm
Dinner: 4:00pm - 7:30pm
Sunday
11:00am - 3:00pm
Monday
Closed - Nate S.Tyler, TX01Nov 7, 2014
i went to dinner tonight (friday night) at 6:45pm and was greeted by the owner saying, "sorry we are closed, we ran out of food." haha. what? not gonna waste my time to try and go back.
