Good American food at great prices! Open for breakfast and lunch serving traditional American food. A true hometown experience. Daily Specials from Tuesdays through Sunday's. Note that on Sundays only the Specials are available but they are well worth it! : )

Located at 116 N. Main Sylvan Grove, KS 67481. I have been coming here for years and I have had a good meal every time.

Found out about this place on the internet while looking over Google maps. The web site seemed to be current, and they have a Facebook page. Their hours posted said they were open Sunday morning at 7:00, so I decided to give them a try.

I rolled into town right at 7:00 and the street in front of the cafe was empty, but the open sign was lit, so breakfast was on.

Upon entering I noticed the place was bright, clean and had a somewhat rustic feel to it. It has a rather large dining area with a nice mix of booths and tables.

When we were greeted, I mentioned how I found them on the internet, and I was promptly greeted with a, "that's not my site, and I don't maintain it", statement. To me it seemed a bit brash, as I was only trying to be friendly. I think someone probably needed another cup of Joe before dealing with the public.

Drinks came out quick, food a touch longer but nothing to whine about. Ordered a western omelet, which was hot and tasty and had a good mix of veggies. The bacon was perfect! The hash browns had more salt on them than I care for.

Overall it was a pleasant breakfast, though maybe we should have showed up a bit later than exactly at 7 when they opened.
