So after reading some reviews in reference to half off burger night we decided to give Home Team Grill a shot. We got there a little after 8p. Our waitress and other staff was really nice. The restaurant had a few patrons so it didn't take too long to get seated and place our orders. The table ordered the regular nachos which comes with a side of chili. The chili was good. I wished there was more though, a mound of tortilla chips and other toppings so the chili really didn't stretch. I ordered the onion, mushroom and Swiss burger medium well. When I received my dish I could tell it was past well done. It didn't have much flavor and the mushrooms weren't fresh as they were rubbery but because it was late I made of it and ate half. The fries were hot and tasty though. I may try again in the future.

Outstanding service from the entire staff. This is only my second time coming to Home Team Grill but they have consistently exceeded all my expectations with service and with the quality of their food.
If you have yet to try their hand-breaded chicken tenders you are truly missing out on something special. They really just melt in your mouth and fall a part too. They are the most tender chicken tenders you'll find on the east coast!
My wife enjoyed the pulled pork BBQ sliders and was really impressed! She was kind-of expecting for the pork to be some generic ground pork. This was clearly hand pulled and very well prepared; hats off to the chef!
I am certain my wife and I will be back time and time again now that we are close by. We would like to try out their trivia night on Wednesday. Keep it home team you guys are awesome.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 20, 2019
We came here on Kentucky derby Saturday and the bar was really busy but there was seating available. Took us a little bit to get seated but wasn't too bad of a wait. Service was spotty. Our waitress came and went and disappeared for times and I had to wait a little bit for my beer. I probably would have rated this a little lower but I have a food allergy and they were great about letting me know what I could and could not have. The food was really good. Beer selection is half decent too, just took a little while sometimes to get service but it was a busy day.

The food is fantastic. The kettle chips are our favorite. We've been here several times and the food is always good.
The service however....not so much. Half warm smiles, like your an inconvenience to them. Our waitress today was less than pleased to be waiting on us. She barely spoke to us and couldn't be bothered with extra questions.
The locals congregate at the bar and make you feel like you don't belong here, like your intruding on their turf.
So three stars for the fantastic food, but loss of two stats because of the service and atmosphere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Miranda S.Henrico, VA8762426Jan 21, 2018
My whole family loves this place. We always order the tuna because we love the spices. The kids enjoy the clam chowder and fish and chips. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches either.

We went here on a Friday evening and it was busy. We ordered the fish tacos (made with salmon) and pulled pork tacos. I really liked the salmon tacos with pineapple chunks but my husband's pork tacos were tough and dry. Better than average bar food. Lots of TVs on and a fun atmosphere.

What a great bar and grill to watch the NCAA tournament!!! The TV'S are properly monitored to show the top rated games. This location is truly a sports bar!The restaurant guests are truly into their games. The servers and bartenders are awesome! The menu items are crafted to satisfy your taste buds. The bar is fully stocked with your favorite alcoholic beverages. I definitely will be coming back! If you are into the tournament, this is the place to be!!!! Go Blue!

Been here several times for happy hour (nice and cheap). Food is good and service is quick and friendly. They have trivia on Wednesdays at 7pm, the same time that happy hour ends unfortunately. A solid restaurant that I can see people being regulars if you are a big fan of american food.
