I attended an event at this location. The ballroom is huge!
There was a very visable sign for extended parking.
It is easy to walk in check in. Then find ones table and attend event.
So many activities! Bar staff was friendly, raffle table had wonderful prizes and wait staff was attentive. The lights in the ballroom were incredible!
I had not been to Holiday Inn in years and I had a pleasant experience. Thanks!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christine M.Manhattan, NY07Dec 11, 2023
4The pros: clean room, clean carpet, comfortable bed, nice furnishings.
The cons: no free coffee til 6:30am, the room service was a lie (they have a restaurant and they don't have enough staff to make it room service, but they didn't tell me that they didn't have room service and I had to pick it up. I just went after 1.5 hours to cancel it and was told they don't have room service), the walls are thin and my neighbor played their tv on loud all night-&/ long so I couldn't sleep, and the tv is on the same wall as the head of the bed so it reverberated all night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Abeer K.San Francisco, CA1148Sep 13, 2022
Stayed here on our way out of Chicago for a night. And where to start. The place is a maze. A business motel style at best. No proper directions to where to park for which block. Definitely not an IHG standard hotel.
Then to add it all up, in addition to the run down walls, faucets, rooms there were weird noises coming from the fridge, ac, bathroom.
The internet was spotting all evening.
There was a huge spider in the bathroom () and dirty towels/rags laying outside rooms (YUCK!!!).
To top it all up, the bed sheets had dried blood stains on the sheets (OMGGGGGG!!!) and bed sheets are TORN and un ironed. I called the front desk to complain and she (I believe her name was Chelsea) not only sounded not interested at all but very unapologetic , rather didn't care.
Seems the people running this place are cutting corners and really don't care about the well being or experience of their customers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Becca H.Chicago, IL06Jan 3, 2024

I was so excited looking at the photo of this hotel they have no customers service upon arrival . I had to ask them questions they should had offered at check in. The room look like a motel room . Bathroom fixtures where rotting , mold on the walls and dirty cracked walls . Message the hotel
No answer . Party next door all night . So dissatisfied. I can't believe I paid to stay at such a horrible room. Holiday inn needs to take the name from
This place .Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laurice H.Rowland Heights, CA1431316Oct 15, 2022
I had stayed here a few years ago and had a good experience, so I decided to stay here again. Bad idea.
First of all, the room that they placed us in was DIRTY. The floor was not vacuumed. The counters/tabletops were not wiped down and was sticky (gross!). The bed was made, but after the first impression, I didn't want to touch it as the linens were probably not changed either.
We complained to the front desk and was moved to another room that was clean, but at this point. One of the lightbulbs from the lamp was out, so we asked for it to be replaced. We were checking out 3 days later, and they never changed the lightbulb.
Then on our last day, there we no one attending to the "breakfast buffet" even though we paid for this breakfast. There was no hot water, food trays were empty, etc.
If it wasn't for the front desk attendant named Tequila (?), who was absolutely wonderful, I would have given this place a 1 star.
Sorry to say, I'm not coming back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jackie M.Chicago, IL0181Oct 16, 2023
They charged me for 2 nights. I only booked one and stayed only one. The front desk was clear that I was staying for 1 night & I left the next day at 12:30pm after asking for a late checkout. So they knew I'd be there for only 1 night. Why they thought they could charge me for 2 nights is beyond me.

I had guests from outside Chicago staying here for a wedding for 3 days. The location is great, the renovations they did a few years ago really have turned this properly from a location to a destination of elegance.
That being said, some of the money spent on carpeting could have been used for customer service. My guests booked for 3 nights with a very discontinued room rate for the wedding. However when I went to check out they they wouldn't honor the rate and claimed the rooms were not all booked at once. Even after showing them email confirmations they still claimed that the nights were not booked together.
I was told that we needed to pay extra for a parking spot and for the continental breakfast. Well, there was plenty of parking on site! For the continental breakfast there was one pint of frozen milk for the entire hotel. It really was disappointing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert K.Skokie, IL01Apr 16, 2023
Between work and visiting family, I travel a lot (50-60 hotel nights per year). We wanted to meet up with the kids on the north side of Chicago in a hotel with a pool and hot tub to enjoy a relaxing evening and picked this hotel in Skokie. They were very flexible and let us do an early check in to unload the luggage into one room. With dinner taking longer downtown, we made it back to the hotel after the pool had closed. After hearing our story, and a promise to not be loud and annoy the other guests, Angel re-opened up the pool for our family to use. I didn't expect the hotel to be so accommodating and greatly appreciated the relaxing conversations with our family. Thanks so much Angel.
Also, the Telsa Supercharger across the street allowed me to charge the car back up for the trip home. The breakfast and in-house Bar Louie restaurant were also unexpectedly nice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cheasly N.Fowler, CA4123Aug 19, 2021
I wouldn't recommend this holiday inn. I have stayed in many holiday inns & this one has been the worst! Never again! We checked in & our room was 3020 just by opening the door it smelled like weed! We got out & went downstairs they moved us to 2017. That one was better, even tho it's a no smoking we still smelled it through the vents! The rail for our shower curtain was broken & to turn on the water it wasn't on right it kept on falling. Also a lot of cracks on the ceiling. We only had 2 towels in our room, we asked for 2 more & they never took them. Also the hallways are extremely hot! & they didn't have any ice on the 2nd floor so we went to the first just opening the door the whole floor smelled like cigarettes disgusting!! Horrible service please don't waste your money here!
The only good thing was that the beds were comfy!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
