My wife and I stayed here a couple of nights ago, while traveling back home from N.Y. The facility is pretty newly remodeled (at least since we stayed here two years prior). This hotel has quite a few things going for it:
- easy access from Interstate
- nice bar/restaurant within walking distance
- clean facility
- good room layout
- Internet connectivity free of charge
- great parking availability
- friendly personnel
- great breakfast included in cost of room
- room amenities (microwave, coffee maker, fridge, safe, TV with quite a few channels)
My only negative comment would be the cost of the room. The identical same room at another Holiday Inn Express & Suites we stayed at a week earlier (located West of Toledo, OH), was over $40 less per night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chuck S.Belleville, IL1096016Nov 30, 2021
Not impressed. First room I got smelled like sour milk or vomit. Second room smelled like wet dog. I turned the fan on and circulated the air while at dinner, and was tolerable when I returned.
The the furniture looks like someone drug it from the local dump. The chair was worn, and stunk.
Positive side, the bed felt good and the staff was really good!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Toni J.San Francisco, CA031Feb 13, 2022
Worst experience ever. Horrible front desk people. Maids who make fun of people. But worst of all
181$ for a king suite look under the wallpaper and find yourself black mold. Disgusting place disgusting people judgemental.
Lady ppl who smoke smell like smoke n to the maid outside smoking smiling at us. Enjoy taking in all that black mold. Paid for a bed with three pillows, black mold, dirty dusty and gross. Don't stay here til they fix the moldHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - One Account T.Boston, MA1547Apr 10, 2021
Alba is fantastic and made breakfast safe.
But this place is a filthy mess. It needs a refresh badly. And a deep cleaning in every room...
Look behind your extra toilet paper roll.
Filthy.
Look at light switches.
Filthy.
Look at cracked tile behind bathroom doors.
Filthy.
Look at the bottom of each "desk" chair.
Filthy.
Filthy "lobby" furniture. Old chipped furniture. Sheets that come off during the night because they don't fit.
Unless you were like me and badly need a room for the night, AVOID this filthy place.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nov 21, 2018
We stayed here while driving from Iowa to Michigan for the holidays. It was a great stay and we recommend staying here when travelling.
The check in process was super easy, the staff was really friendly and helpful. Our rate was fair, it was a few dollars cheaper than the Hampton Inn and I think the breakfasts are better at Holiday Inn than Hampton.
This location has a heated pool. It was warm and plenty big for kids to play in. I thought there was enough seating for parents to hang out while the kids played. This location also has a fitness room, but it is mainly just cardio machines.
Overall, this is a great location for travelers. I will definitely stay here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maddie M.Becket, MA0378Sep 25, 2021Updated review
Big thumbs up to Holiday inn for doing away with a lot of the tiny plastic travel size toiletries and for using JR Watkins products!!!!

Neither were exactly a ball of fire, . Toilet filled so slowly that we had to fill the ice bucket in the sink & pour it into the tank to get it to flush. But bed was comfy - appreciated that.

If you've stayed at a Holiday Inn before you know what to expect. My main gripe was that we wanted two rooms next to each other and we were there before the 3PM check in and were told we had to wait 15 minutes and ended up waiting an hour. Supposedly, they had two rooms ready but not next to each other but who knows. We were given some rewards points for our trouble.
The room was clean and had a flat screen TV. Everything worked like it should. Staff was friendly. When I left the room and closed the door it locked itself (with the slider) so that was a whole lot of no fun to get back in. The pool also wasn't too large.
Free breakfast but my phone had trouble with the wi-fi. Probably my phone's fault. Breakfast was good but missing waffles. Overall a good experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Luis R.Arlington, IL1119Apr 27, 2019
Bunch of us got stranded here after work because of a horrible blizzard. We got there three in the morning luckily our job reserved our room because they sold out quick that night. They were quick to let us in and check in was simple. They got us anything we needed. Room were nice and came fully equipped. Breakfast was excellent! Nice fresh selection.

We stayed here for one night on our way from Indiana to Iowa. It was a satisfactory stay but didn't live up to the excellence I've experienced from the Holiday Inn Express brand in the past. The walls seemed paper thin, and we heard a lot of noise from other rooms and outside. The breakfast was pretty mediocre. They had decent little egg and cheese omelets but all the bread products were very stale.
