Holiday Inn Express Dodge City

Nope, not a Holiday Inn Express, as Hotwire said it would be. We were placed into a previous smoking room and it was disgusting. You could smell it, and there were cigarette burns on the carpet.

Also, through HIX and Hotwire, it was supposed to be pet friendly with no extra costs, yet this independent place wanted $30 per pet. An extra $60 for two crated wiener dogs.

My guess in HIX dropped them from the chain for not meeting standards. Won't be back.

This is not a Holiday Inn Express. The Holiday Inn Express left a few months ago. The hotel that is there now is still using the same phone number.

Our room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, the toilet hadn't been cleaned and there was a used wash cloth left hanging on the shower curtain. Find another option.

This is not a Holiday Inn Express. It was droped from the system 2 years ago and is being replaced by a new Holiday Inn Express and Suites openning Thursday August 24th 2017. It is across from the Boot Hill Museum and next to the new water park and Guymon Petro Bar and Grill.

I have stayed here twice now. This is a slightly older Holiday Inn Express. And thus, my review is based on my experience with similar aged and price level hotels. The staff was very helpful, doing a rush printing job for me. Breakfast is good. I suggest getting a room on the backside (away from the highway). Decor and carpet seemed a little dated (as seems to be the case with Holiday Inn Express these days).

I give it 5 stars for the price I paid. decent bed, decent breakfast, strong shower. good wifi, nice staff
