I went on a girls weekend my first time in Ocean city. I really loved the hotel the front desk staff was very sweet and professional. My first expression I was blown away. It's very clean very neat. We had a room overlooking the pool and got some wonderful views in the early mornings. I loved how all products where DOVE shows the hotel goes above to make the stay more comfy. Parking the car was easy. My favorite thing is the beach was across the street walking distance. Also across the street was a nice trail and beautiful views we got to see some jelly fish and fishes.
My only 2 suggestions would be the toaster is to SLOW maybe get a second one and not leave it at the begging of the line so that the line can move efficiently. The pancake was flat and no taste and also took a long time. Maybe add a waffle machine?Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jesse H.Washington, DC262310Mar 25, 2023
Overall, I had a good experience staying at the hotel. It is located in a great spot, close to many restaurants and attractions. The rooms were clean and spacious, but they were also in need of some repairs. Some advertised features, such as the private balcony spa tub, were not working. I would recommend this hotel to others, but I would also recommend that they be aware of the potential problems.

We have stayed here for over ten years in the past. Even though this our first time back since Covid, we were greatly disappointed that the prices went up & service went down tremendously!
During our four night stay, we were told they are not cleaning rooms at all. No trash removal, cleaning the bathroom or changing sheets. We had to take out our own trash, or leave it in the hall, for it to pile up til the next day! We often had to ask for trash bags, extra towels everyday and change them out ourselves.
I understand that times have changed since Covid and things may not be the same, but the hotel in itself has gone down tremendously!
The cleanliness of the room was also questionable. The windows from the inside were filthy too!
The chair in our room was ripped also! I was in shock by our experience and will not be returning!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - N B.Cave Creek, AZ323562Jul 15, 2021
Staff was nice enough to allow me and my family to check in 2 hours early since I am a IHG gold elite member. This gave us more time at the beach on checkin day. That was appreciated and they were able to accommodate us away from the elevator on a higher floor. Thanks for that.
The room was clean and as it should be. The carpets should be removed very soon and replaced cause they are dingy looking. Highly suggest this. The beds were soft, clean and comfortable. Like most hotels, the pillows are big and fluffy and tough to sleep with so if you can, bring your own flatter pillows from home.
Shower got hot ; almost too hot and water pressure was excellent. My only complaint about the bathroom was that the shower gel was completely empty and we had to get an extra bar of soap from the maid in replacement. Also, the maid said they were out of lotion too.
TV, ac, lights, microwave, mini fridge and sinks and all outlets worked good. We didn't use the Keurig machine cause we got coffee down stairs.
The breakfast was nothing spectacular but you can't complain about a free breakfast. The first morning they had scrambled eggs and something else. They had cinnamon rolls, juice, cereal, bagels, cream cheese, coffee, decaf, milk, muffins and yogurt. The second day they had mini cheese omelettes and sausages.
The second morning, we were woken up to the hotel fire alarm. We took it seriously at 8am and got dressed while the alarm pierced our ears while we were half asleep. However it was a false alarm because there was no fire and ppl were still going in to get breakfast. That was irritating, especially waking us up.
Staff again came through when I requested a late check out and allowed me 1 extra hour stay. Thank you for this. We were able to play at the beach one more time before leaving.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brooke D.Baltimore, MD051Dec 27, 2021
We checked in a few hours ago but I'm so satisfied, I'm comfortable giving a review now. The staff was SUPER friendly. We had to add and extra night and we were still given the special rate that we booked with a week ago.
The woman checking us in was positively lovely and made a point to explain changes due to covid (less housekeeping, call down if you need towels, etc) which we expected and were fine with. She also explained the WiFi, Pool, and breakfast times right away. They were also able to place us near family who wound up being directly across the hall, we got different room types so we think adjoining wasn't an option.
The room was cleaner than I anticipated. Some "damages" like water marks on the ceiling but this is a Holiday Inn, let's be realistic and expect what we pay for. Our view is an obstructed one of the awning (we didn't feel the need for bay view), our family got the park view and will be able to see the northside lights tonight. We will absolutely be booking again in the off season.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 9, 2017
My friends and I decided to take a very last minute trip to Ocean City for the weekend. Given how last minute of a decision this was, we assumed finding and booking good hotel room would be difficult. Luckily we were oh so wrong.
Location:
The hotel is situated one block away from the beach. It was very easy to walk to the beach from the hotel. There are also some great places to eat and a liquor store within walking distance.
Also - behind the hotel is a nice little park. We saw a couple of families walking around and riding their bikes in the park. Its a cute little area.
The only con here is that if your looking for the boardwalk. Its not here - you need to drive a good 5 minutes to get to the boardwalk or just take the bus.(The bus stop is right outside of the hotel-very easily accessible)
Customer Service:
This alone could get 5 stars. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. They were always quick to greet us, even when we were strolling in at 2:30 AM.
Every request we had from asking for enough shampoos and conditioners for 5 girls to asking for extra blankets and pillows were always met with a genuine smile.
Public Transportation:
The bus stop is right outside of the hotel. If your looking for night life, places like Seacrets and Fagers are maybe a 10-15 minute bus ride away and a pass for the whole day only costs $3.
Room & Price:
Our room was able to accommodate 5 people - although I'm sure we could have had 6 people in there. We had two queen size beds and a pull out couch. The cost of the room was about $300 per night. This was pretty standard for Ocean City in July. (However, I've gotten pretty tiny rooms closer to the boardwalk for the same price.) The size of the room was perfect for 5 of us.
Perks:
The indoor and outdoor pools are nice. There is free breakfast in the morning. Our room had a keurig with k cups - so we were able to make coffee whenever we wanted.
The only cons here are that the wifi signal is weak and we wish they had a hot tub.
Altogether- I would totally recommend this place for a quick get away. No major complaints here!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kit C.Snow Hill, MD05Feb 21, 2022
Horrible. Went to stay there on my birthday and 5:30 a.m nothing but loud construction outside my window. Barely slept. Then around 9am housekeeping were having loud discussion outside my door. Worst stay ever. If i could give a negative rating i would.

Overall, I was unhappy with this hotel but it is helpful to readers to decide for themselves so I will give both sides.
Pros: the Hotel is located on the boardwalk and has 3 swimming pools (1 indoors). There is a nice pool bar which serves fries etc. The beds are comfortable.
Cons: There is a crowded outdoor bar right outside the hotel on the boardwalk. There is screaming all 4 nights from this bar until 2 am. It's almost as though the patrons were only yelling to create disturbances. The hotel did not have any housekeeping service and they did not disclose it when I purchased the room. I found out only after I returned from the day at the beach. Dirty towels etc. I would not have stayed at this hotel had I known as the other comparable hotels had room service (Marriott, Hyatt). The outside pools are unheated were freezing (64 degrees) the last week of June, rendering them almost unusable.
The Manager was polite but informed me that it is against his policy to provide credits for these issues, which he acknowledged because several other customers had similar complaints.
I am a platinum member but I would never stay here again. I went to the Marriott next door which did not have these problems. If you choose this hotel, I recommend you get a room at least from 10 floors up to avoid the noise from the bar. If the pools are important to you, only stay here in July through August.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 6737871484Oct 24, 2015
Decent stay with free breakfast and free late night pancakes! The swimming pool here is dirty and filled with sand but then again I noticed all hotel pools are similar because we're near the beach.
The wifi is weak especially during evening hours when most family return to the place. Although this place is decent, I most likely would not stay here again when I'm in the area. It's not in walking distance to the beach and broad walk. You'll have to drive.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tammy H.IL, IL01Jul 23, 2021
Very disappointed in our stay for our family vacation. They are not cleaning rooms due to Covid and actually told everyone to throw towels and trash in the hallway. The staff was inconsiderate and rude. We requested the 5th floor, arrived for check in at 4, told us to wait because the room wasn't clean. After waiting 30 minutes, gave us a room in the 3rd floor! The outside pool and pool area was very nice! The room was a good size. We did clean our own bathroom daily and bought our own supplies since guests are not allowed to have their cleaning supplies! Sorry but we will never stay here again!
