How many people can say they absolutely LOVE a Dr's visit? That's how it feels to come here. It's a one person office, so at times patience is necessary, however the team he has in place are warm and friendly.. I find you get what you give, make sure you are kind, warm and friendly also.
He uses cutting edge health info to help
You with your health, the ret is up to you.

Dr Hurt practices functional medicine. He is Harvard trained if that impresses you. What I appreciate about him the most is his ability to do the detective work to uncomfortable ver what is really going on.
He is the only Dr. In the practice, so you do have a wait time. His knowledgeable and courteous staff and team of nurses work together well and the place runs smoothly.
He does have his own line of supplements and they are not cheap. If you are used to one a day or something you got at The drugstore they will seem more expensive. Often I have fou d thé combination of I gradients in his products very forward thinking and cannot find c't'heure same ingredients elsewhere.
I appreciate his Intelligence and demain or. He has helped me with some health concerns that other physicians do not even have the band with orcuriousity for. If you are a person who deals with your health with a prescription Med and are not interested in all the ways you need to be personally responsible for yourself, he may not be the choice for you.

As an integrative physician.. he is a rare bird. Yes the wait is long, yes they get busy, yes you have to be on hold... He is one person, one Dr..with an outstanding staff. I don't know how they do it. They are friendly and nice. If this was a medical group, things would be more expedient. I usually find when it comes to customer service, you receive what you give. I give the staff 10 stars for their hard work, and friendliness. Dr Hirt, knows his stuff.

Dr. Hirt is beyond understanding and caring. He does some special testing to find out the root cause of any symptoms you experienced. Its not about covering it with a mask called "meds" but truly healing so you feel better later on.
I have had multiple issues throughout my life and no doctor ever mentioned to me that my immune system is below average. No one has ever tested that specific to find out the details but Dr Hirt at the very first appointment after talking to me figured that he needs to find out the underlying cause for my various health issues.
Also had some severe GI problems that no one was understanding. I visited all sorts of specialists and all they did testing and the results were all clear. Even when I fainted and went to the hospital they couldn't tell why that happened to me. Until I saw Dr. Hirt and he figured it all out.
I praise this doctor because my experience with him has been nothing but great! My family goes to him now and they all feel the same.
Oh one last note ! Gary takes amazing blood at the back office ! If you don't like needles or have anxiety to do blood work just like me, go see him!

My family and I have been treated by Dr Hirt for over a decade and know his practice. He's simply exceptional. Thorough and always on the cutting edge of offering the safest, most innovative treatments available. He's an outstanding primary care physician, NOT concierge. His office is way too busy to offer that type of service and has never priced or positioned himself that way. He does promote his supplements but only because they're carefully curated based on self-use. I'm sincerely grateful to be under his care.

Disastrous Experience - Avoid This Doctor at All Costs!
I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Dr. Hirt and it was an absolute nightmare. Not only did the doctor fail to correctly diagnose my condition, but the lack of professionalism and care throughout the entire process left me deeply disappointed and frustrated.
As my symptoms persisted and even worsened, I decided to seek a second opinion. To my horror, the new doctor discovered that Dr.Hirt initial diagnosis was completely wrong.
The misdiagnosis not only prolonged my suffering but also put my health at significant risk. The lack of proper care and attention from Dr.Hirt has caused me immense stress and has further complicated my recovery.
I strongly advise anyone considering Dr. Hirt services to seek medical attention elsewhere. Their incompetence and lack of empathy are a danger to patients' health and well-being. Dr Hirt gave me quality time and went over blood test to explain how improvements can be made. He recommended the Immune booster IV vitamin C drip which helped clear up residue of the flu I was dealing with.

His staff changes every month - it's the most turnover I have ever seen at a physician's office and I work for a hospital in a major city. He is a quack and something weird is going on with how terrible the office is run and why the staff doesn't last.
Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 6, 2018Previous reviewI was hesitant to write a Yelp review, because I love Dr. Hirt and his staff so much, that I wanted to keep this place a secret, but it would be such a shame if more people couldn't benefit from their extraordinary work.
First, the staff is great. I have been going to this office for the past few months, and I have seen exponential growth in the way we patients are treated by the staff! When I first started going in January 2018, no one said "hi" to me or smiled and my phone calls were always very curt and unfriendly. BUT NOW, everyone makes an effort to greet me when I arrive or walk around the office. I am received with smiles and asked if I need anything, like water, etc. The phone calls still feel more "efficient" than "friendly," but no one hangs up on me without politely saying good-bye first. In addition, since January, I have seen the office ask for patient feedback, and put up a sign sharing that they are now available via text! I think the office really tries to listen to the concerns of their patients and tries to actively attend to our needs. But yes, it's a busy office, they are in high demand, and I don't even know how they handle all the crazy amount of phone calls that come in daily. However, I have never left with any questions unanswered. Yes, sometimes I have had to wait 5 or so minutes, but my patience and kindness is always met with incredible care.
One quick scenario with the staff: I recently needed a medical form within 2 days, and I was panicked I wouldn't be able to get it signed in time for a serious deadline. I called the office and the staff member who picked up was very defensive over the possibility they wouldn't be able to get me the form in time. Due to their insecurity, they blamed me for the situation, and made me feel very guilty. In my mind, the customer is always right, so when I'm reaching out for help, it didn't feel good to receive a defensive attitude on the phone in response to my request. Later that day, I followed up with a voicemail and my tone was pretty rude, and I actually felt quiet embarrassed that someone was going to have to hear the message I left. However, not much later, I received a phone call from someone else on the staff, who could not have been more lovely on the phone! Even in response to my sharp voicemail, they let me know they would do their best to take care of it, and didn't make me feel guilty at all! The next day I received my medical notice, and it all worked out perfectly. At the end of the day, we're all people and learning how to best treat and serve one another. So, the staff is great - and doing their best!
Secondly, Dr. Hirt is the best. I recently moved, and I can't tell you how many times I misplaced and lost my prescription for physical therapy. He has been very forgiving every time I ask him to re-write my note, and met me with a knowing smile or joke. Sometimes I need to receive a painful injection and I can't help, but curse like a sailor, but Dr. Hirt is always a calming and reassuring presence. I am very grateful to him for his due diligence and he is the first doctor in years who has properly diagnosed me for exercise induced asthma! I was seeing him about my back - totally unrelated to my lungs - but because he is a good doctor he recognized another problem and solved both!

I saw Dr Hirt for many years for as a general internist & for chronic illness. The last time I saw him I had not been feeling well at all and he did bloodwork. Weeks went by & then months,
and I never received any results of my labs. I called many many times over the following 6 MONTHS, requesting my results & consistently got the same answer: "the results came back a while ago but Dr Hirt hasn't reviewed them yet, but would very soon & I'd get a call back". I never got any calls back, and got additional bills for the lab work that I NEVER got any results from.
I ended up going to a different doctor, as after so long the results were too old to be relevant anymore, even if they were to send me results.
This is typical of his office...you have to hassle them for weeks to months to get any test results (and he does a lot of expensive tests, many of which are don't in their in-house lab).
Wait times at the office are a nightmare. And they push lots of very expensive supplements that are their own brand. You get very little time with the doctor. The entire operation felt like over time it degraded into a money making scheme, not a place that was there to heal patients.

Awful experience. Starting with Marie at the reception. How hard can it be to get an appointment. She put me on hold for 15 minutes and than hang up - twice!! The second time it took her 8 minutes. Boy, this office is not what it used to be anymore. No thank you !
