Surprisingly good. The property is connected to the train station and thus quite convenient coming in and out by PATH or NJ Transit. The breakfast was made to order and very nice. The room was clean and everything worked except the sink drain was a bit slow. There is not much to do in the neighborhood around the station so keep that in mind.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Prudential Center since Newark isn't known for being very safe. The location is great because you can walk along a secure indoor strip that leads almost all the way to Prudential Center and is also connected to the train station. Staff was nice and gave us a goodie bag upon arrival. All our requests were met within a reasonable time. The hotel room itself is a little bit more on the modern side. I liked how much space there was.
My complaints are that the room could've been washed more. There were some suspicious stains on the curtains and floor. Also their vending area is a little scammy. The prices aren't marked for any of the goods and we were told the money would just be charged to the hotel room when we got 2 candy bars from there. The price ended up being $15 which is extremely high and we didn't think they'd overcharge by that much.

This location is convenient to the Prudent Center, so I stayed here for that purpose when booking. It's within walking distance, so you won't have to worry about taxi / Uber or Lyft if you visit for an event; it is convenient and not a long drive from Newark Airport. The room is a good size with the essentials needed for your stay. The bed was lumpy, and not very comfortable, and the pillows were thin, but overall, it was a clean room for my stay. It was loud in the hallway and outside. Is it because of an event? or is the hotel just a busy location? The towels were thin and small, but it was an okay stay if you were only there for the night. The check in person was very nice during my stay

Not bad. But not fantastic. The front desk service was wonderful. Rooms (we had 3, for various family) are of average size.

They did NOT pass my bath towel test. I like large thick bath towels. These were neither. They don't lose a star but it doesn't help. Seriously.

      So why four stars??
      1) Parking is a nightmare. Public parking garage next to (sort of) the building. Really tight. And any time I need to circle around in my car just to figure out how and where to enter a hotel ... that's not very good.
      2) The restaurant. Small but good enough selection of foods. And the food was good. And the waitstaff was good. But for both dinner and then breakfast there was one single waiter. Get two!! There's an idea!!

I've stayed at so many hotels around the world. Hilton is usually my preference as I was a diamond member until recently. However, this hotel and its management was absolutely terrible!!! Specially, manager named Kenny, was extremely unprofessional and unreasonable. His rude behavior in handling the conflict I've experienced was unbelievable. Basically, we wanted to go to a different Hilton hotel due to lack of cleanliness and room service (they said they were short staffed). At the checkout after one night (originally booked for three nights with points), a female supervisor around 12:30pm on March15th, confirmed that $100 early checkout fee was waived and said that I just would need to contact Hilton to process the refund of 60k points (30k for each night). However, when Hilton contacted the hotel, Mr. Kenny told Hilton that I would either have to pay the $100 fee or leave my 60k points behind. This either/or deal should have been told to me at the check out to give me a chance to make an inform decision. Mr. Kenny just would not understand this!!! When I left that hotel to check in at another Hilton, they made me believe that the fee was waived and that I would get my points back. It is almost like a scam!! They are still keeping my 60k points hostage!! This and Mr. Kenny's behavior towards guests should be considered way below Hilton standard!!

It was a good hotel. It was extremely nice what a beautiful view of a wedding next to our hotel. But the best part was cookies at the check in.

I stayed for one night by myself. You're greeted with a chocolate chip cookie, two bottles of water and a bag of pretzels. Parking is in a parking garage that you have to pay for.

The room was clean and nice looking. The bed was comfortable too. I did notice that the windows aren't very sound proof. Lots of noise came through them, luckily I play white noise at night when I sleep.

This is what was in the bag they gave me at check-in.
      Their signature cookie!

I had a perfectly fine stay here on Wednesday. All the staff I interacted with were polite. Check-in was easy despite the hotel being extremely full because of a concert at the Prudential Center.

My room was clean, the bed was super comfy. I had lunch at the restaurant downstairs and it was fine. Prices weren't too bad. It's mostly just super convenient because it's literally right across from Penn Station and only a 5 minute walk from the Prudential Center. I would stay here again next time I'm in town.

I've seen some reviews about people's rooms not being clean but fortunately I had no issues. Their phones were down but they had a QR code you could scan if you needed to get ahold of someone / order food. Wifi was a little spotty sometimes I had to reconnect it, but I had two zoom meetings while there and experienced no issues.

Great location if you're planning to travel to New York. The level of cleanliness of the hotel is extremely low and along with the evening front of the hotel staffs' customer service experience is huge thumbs down. But at the same time, I guess I'm in the east coast I should expect time type of service.
